The place gives you that close to God feeling. The nuns keep it clean and beatiful and peaceful. The entrance was 4 lei for person and we got to see the chuch painted by Nicolae Grigorescu, the museum with historical and religious things and paintings including original paintings of Nicolae Grigorescu. You can also find there the Memorial House of Alexandru Vlahuta. The place is a piece of heaven.

Extremely well maintained place. The church has some of the most wonderful paintings I’ve seen in an orthodox site. A must visit place.

Beautiful location and easy to reach this place. The Monastery had a special architecture, well-kept and maintained with great care. The souvenir shop very well stocked with religious books, hand-made sweets, and much more. Toilets available.

Beautiful monastery with well kept gardens. The artwork is less typical of Christian Orthodox artwork as it was done by Romanian painter Nicolae Grigorescu who painted in a neoclassical style. You can also visit a museum of his work inside the monastery. Sadly you can't take pictures inside the church so the paintings can be preserved

Beautiful monastery, clean, a garden full of flowers, nice paintings. No entry tickets needed. Only if you want to visit the orthodox museum.

So many things to see: the church with its wonderful paintings, the museums, the small shops. Half a day spent in the most beautiful way!

Architecturally beautifully and serene. I’m personally not religious but I enjoyed the visit and it was a very positive monument. Steeped in history and diligently cared for.

Late afternoon in the winter, off season. The church is painted by such a famous painter, beautiful. Around there are multiple sights. We enjoyed the company of a kitten.

I was very excited to visit this place, but then someone who stayed there for a month told me that the villagers would see aborted babies outside the monasteries grounds. I was so disgusted by this information, that I did not even stay there longer. Not sure it it is true or nit, but nobody would benefit from a lie like this.

What you will find here is peace of mind and a lot of flowers! The Monastery is pretty big and you cand also visit the Vivant Museum inside it. There is a fee to be paid at the entrance and it varies whether you are a student, child or a retired person. Also, before you enter, there is a small shop with fresh baked bread and a lots of șerbet flavours, which are very creamy and sweet. Have a wonderful trip here!
