Un percorso semplice che si snoda su un lato del lago immerso in una vegetazione stupenda ottimo da fare nel periodo autunnale per i colori che assume la natura .Mi sento di consigliare, arrivati alla fine del sentiero proveniendo da Mergozzo proseguendo a destra sulla strada asfaltata una visita al paesino di Montorfano molto caratteristico con una chiesetta molto bella.

Passeggiata piacevole in mezzo al bosco adatto a tutti Sono tornata una seconda volta Ho lasciato la macchina alla stazione di Verbania - Pallanza Sono salita verso il paese di Montorfano ad un certo punto ben segnalato comincia il sentiero azzurro che porta alla piazzetta di Mergozzo costeggiando il lago omonimo . Ho raggiunto in 10 minuti a piedi la stazione del treno e in 3 o 4 minuti ero alla macchina . I treni si fermano ogni due ore Da provare !

Nice route completely in the shade. When you start in Montorfano it takes you in about 40 Minutes to Mergozzo. After a nice break you can walk back. In Montorfano you end up at the mountain without facilities. There are few parkinspots just up the hill past the startingpoint of the walk. When you park down the hill it’s quit a steep road to get to the starting point of the walk. Bring sneakers/shoes instead of slippers. It’s a quit easy but uneven pathway. Beautiful views across the lake.

Great hike with our 10 year olds! We had lunch in Mergozzo and went back the same way. Then swam in the lake near La Rustica. Recommend hiking shoes as the trail is made up of a bumpy stone pathway almost the whole time.

Nice walk along the lake. Some benches to sit on and enjoy the view. The path is not super well-maintained, but it's quite doable if you are surefooted.

Fantastic route for a whole walking day along or even around Mergozzo lake. On the local municipality www page of Montorfano you can find the gpx file for your favourite route tracking app. Unfortunately, many dangerous parts of the route have no safety barriers preventing people fromfalling down, so be careful when going with toddlers and kids. Many water taps can be found along the way so it's not strictly required to bring tons of water, a mug could be enough.

A nice walk with two kids (7 and 10) with a field to relax and sunbathe at tre end.

Percorso carino sopra il lago di Mergozzo, non è adatto a tutti, terreno molte volte sconnesso o sentiero che passa in messo a dei ruscelli, nulla di impossibile, si possono intravedere degli scorci del lago davvero suggestivi, consiglio di parcheggiare in cima, sono presenti 10 posti auto gratuiti, a circa 2 minuti dall'ingresso del sentiero, partendo da Montorfano, durata percorso circa 1 ora e 30, prendendola con molta calma
