This is a Farm to Table style restaurant and I believe featuring organic foods but I cannot verify translation. We had a 3 course meal, 3 appetizers, 2 first and 2nd course meals. We did not finish the portions were more than adequate contrary to a previous review but again each person is unique. We had buffalo mozzarella, eggplant Parmigiano, ravioli with cheese and spinach, gnocchi with cream and pepper, chicken stuffed with artichokes, and a slow cooked roast in a sauce to die for. We had to get take home boxes. Add a bottle a red wine and 2 glasses of chardonnay with a bottle of water 110 euros out the door. Pictures included great staff owners speak English, thank you Emiliano, just a great evening in working class roma. If you're near here try them you won't be disappointed. Napkins are tiny but you get a new set every course.

What a great place to stop in for a glass of wine and a buratta. Great wine selection and awesome service.

An absolutely brilliant restaurant. Rita is an absolute legend. Every dish was amazing and super fresh. The selection of dishes makes it so hard to decide so we pretty much tried most dishes and everything was delicious. Would be coming back again and would highly recommend it. Book in advance to guarantee a place it's popular.

We have been visiting Masto; a hidden gem for over 4 years. During Covid the lovely owner Rita sent us wine! So yes, they ship. They have the BEST olive oil (Olio Extra Vergine di oliva) you can ever imagine tasting. The cured meats/cheeses/and wine selections are outstanding. Menus are available in English and Italian. Do not miss the chocolate selection at the end of the meal. This last time we came to visit we met our neighbors who live in Trastevere and decided to have a joint birthday party. We asked Rita if we could host a private birth party for two (birthday ladies) for 30 people within two days. So 28 of the guests were locals and gave their seal of approval after the party! Rita and her staff always make us feel so comfortable. The wine was poured as if we were part of a the Trevi Fountain and we went home gigantic smiles and full bellies. Please try the Meatballs, Egg plant Lasagna or the Ragu Lasagna and freshly homemade Gnocchi Pasta. Yes, I tried them all and I want more. For us the Habemus is their supreme wine but do not count out the Monteflaco Sagrantino with your meat dishes. A fantastic white wine for starters is Stefano Antonucci. The wines are from local places that you cannot find anywhere else. They also have a marvelous rum and chocolate selection to be paired with either the Rum or sweeter red wine. The staff Rita, Veronica, and Martha were all smiles and extremely helpful. I know Roma has a lot of selections but do not miss an opportunity to discovery a home away from home and to meet new friends who will be in your life after your first toast. Thank you always making us feel we have a home away from home. I know I should have a food post but I ate it before it could be posted.

Come here instead of the very famous but overcrowded “Felice” - a small yet incredible place to eat and drink premium quality roman and not only food. Brilliant customer service, both servers were very helpful and good for a chat. Nice music played throughout the experience and at the best of volume to get best out of communication. Strongly recommend this restaurant for all the things mentioned above.

We just had our last meal in Italy at this fine establishment. We ordered gnocchi carbonara, blueberry risotto w/ham and oxtail. It was all exceptional! They offer unique menu items as well as more traditional options. The food seemed like it was Michelin quality. The owner, Rita, is very passionate and knowledgeable about her restaurant. It was busy and the best dinner we had in Italy. Nearby restaurants are clearly not as busy - this is a true gem and worth a visit (or many)!

The lasagna was perfect, not oily & not fat, nice soft layers of pasta and good cooked3meat. The carbonara gnocchi were also good but a bit too much pepper for my taste. The personal is friendly and fast

Beautiful wine bar tradition Italian dishes, served in a cosy room, like eating in the owner's kitchen! Service was lovely, great bossa nova vibes, excellent menu.

The Place wasn't so busy, but the service was not perfect, but the staff is very kind. I'd like the food and the atmosfere. Very small tables for a very small place, small but very nice 🙂

We had such a lovely visit to this restaurant. Rita and her staff were so kind to us and made sure we had a great experience. The food was fresh, creative and tasty and it was so enjoyable to sit amongst the locals and soak up the atmosphere. We highly recommend a visit and if we ever returned to Rome, we would certainly return for some more great food. Thanks Rita from two New Zealanders who so appreciated your hospitality. :)

Friendly and kind service, the menu has limited options but all the dishes we have tried were very tasty and well cooked. Much better to sit outside because inside the chairs are not very comfortable. Lovely jazzy music in the background. Prices could be a bit lower (6/7€ for a glass of local wine is too much).

We came to this restaurant for lunch by chance, attracted by their cosy and local vibes. We were very happy about our finding. The restaurant offers authentic & delicious local foods. Would love to visit again for aperitivo and dinner!

Very cute little place to eat which we stumbled upon when the restaurant we initially planned to go to was fully booked. What a great find for us though! The service was incredible and they went above and beyond to find a nice outdoor seat for us. The food was very delicious. We tried the melanzane, lasagne and ravioli burra e salvia as well as a lemon and aperol spritz. The alcohol was quite strong compared to what we were used to but grew on us. The eggplant was delicious and they plated it separately as we were sharing. The lasagne and ravioli were also very tasty. The servings aren't massive but I would say they are the perfect size for a pasta and half an entree.

I came here by chance by being turned down from a different establishment, and it was 100%, so I could try this wonderful place. Staff was welcoming and friendly. The chef came out and explained each course for me. They gave me multiple extras to try. It definitely gives local vibes. I absolutely loved each course I got and was reasonably priced. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Great atmosphere inside this trattoria. Tried the cold cut of cheese and charcuterie, it was excellent. Same for the primitivo glass, although a bit expansive (12€). Finishing with a wonderful tiramisu, perfect preparation and the cut was very sharp! Unfortunately didn’t take pictures of the food, I was too focused on it I stayed one week in Rome and this is one of my favourite, grazie

Could not recommend this place enough. The owner, Rita, took complete care of me and my friend. We went by her recommendations for all wine and food and were blown away. On top of that, she is such a sweet person! The music matched the atmosphere of the restaurant perfectly with a close-knit community-like feeling. We left the restaurant happy, full, and with recommendations on places to go for the rest of our time in Rome that were not the least bit disappointing. Wish we’d had dinner here every night. Wonderful! Bellísimo! Increíble!

To beat the tourist trap, head out of central Roma and see what's on offer in these authentic eateries. The hospitality was perfection and as for the food? Exactly the level you would expect from an expert in Italian cuisine. The lovely lady who looked after us was gracious and welcoming, made the visit a delight. This is my favourite restaurant in Rome, simply the best. Thank you for a wonderful evening x

Hidden gem in Rome! Food is really good paired with top notch service. The owner herself takes great care of customers and has good tips for food and wine. Would definitely recommend!

Great place! Service was very nice, staff spoke english, spanish, and Italian, so easy to communicate for tourists not knowing the local lingo. Food - delicious. Everything was superb and prices make this a value! Sidewalk dining was a bit loud with the busy Via Galvani shooting taxis with every stoplight change. But definitely a fun, great place.

My partner and I were enjoying our last day in Rome when we stumbled upon Masto for lunch & we are so glad we did! Not only was the food fantastic (I would recommend the risotto w/ blueberries, cheese & ham), but the service was absolutely fantastic. Rita & her team took such good care of us, asking us our names and where we were from, & even treated us to a deliciously sweet wine for the road. If we were in Rome for another day we definitely would’ve been returning! Thanks Rita <3

This restaurant is one of my favourite restaurants in Rome. The food is excellent, very savoury gnocchi and risotto, which was nicely complement with the smooth burrata cheese. They have an excellent selection of wine and Ehiliano recommend some real gems which paired nicely with the food. The venue is small and intimate, the decor is superb. We celebrated NYE here, both Ehiliano and Rita put on a tasty dinner! We were very pleased (&full) A must visit for food and wine lovers!

One of the best evenings ever! Superb food - freshest, lightest mozzarella and buratta; blueberry and gorgonzola risotto; chocolate and pear dessert that was out of this world. Our hostess was truly delightful engaging, funny. And the wine was superb (but not cheap!). Would highly recommend it!

Amazing little restaurant and such nice service. They let us try THE best olive oil and bread. Then we had THE best mozzarella in Rome. We then had fantastic recommendations on the menu for our mains. After we finished our meal, the host was really friendly and offered great tips for us to visit next Would definitely recommend.

Stumbled upon this little restaurant and had a very satisfying visit! Delicious food in sensible portions, wines by the glass with flavor and depth, attentive and friendly staff, outdoor seating. Had gnocchi, meatballs, risotto, a chocolate souffle with ice cream, and a glass of red and white wine (white wine/meatballs/souffle tied as favorites).

Not just the best food in Rome, this place has the best gnocchi I’ve ever had! You should definitely visit it if you’re in Rome. Also, staff is amazing and super friendly. There was some kind of mixture with our reservation and they bought us some Prosecco for our inconvenience

Cute little deli come wine bar restaurant, delicious food with quality ingredients alongside friendly customer service. Table set up is all high stools and tables so maybe bear that in mind for differing needs.
