The very definition of tourists trap. The locale's decor is cheap and bland. Their service abhorrent. I happened here exclusively as I was in need of a bathroom. I acted civil to pay for a small water bottle that cost 2 euro. Only one of the nine tables was taken so I sat down to wait in line. The bathroom btw is a small hole marked by piss stains and dirt. I was told that I wasn't allowed to sit at a table, the price for a water bottle at the table being 3 euro. I contested this extortion as being nowhere near advertised and remained seated. The waiter at the manager's beckoning insisted on harassing me. I warned I would fetch the police and ultimately was forced to. The manager caused a scene, significantly disrupting their miser business, driving away anyone who was even mildly curious in their pre-packaged tramezzini exhibition. Ultimately I remained seated. This brief episode of disgusting snobbery beautifully encapsulates what is wrong with many touristic establishments and their owners. Everything about this locale is unworthy of Rome's beauty or eternal history. Would leave 0 stars if I could.

We checked in without seeing the reviews, after placing the order learnt on the low review when I was checking in. However we had fantastic expecting the manoon the waiter who served us is fantastic. He recommend food and even offered if we didn’t like we don’t need to pay, which was something new and exhibits his confidence in the cuisine. Also for ice cream he offered to mix two flavours for price on one only €2.5. Can’t ask for more. Most people might have missed to read the fine print , Same Ice cream if dinned, it’s €2 extra. Overall we had best of all.

Total tourist trap! I fell for the pretty leaves decorating the doorway. I didn’t know you could have a bad gelato in Italy? But it was crystallized and a slimy texture. Don’t fall for the artsy foliage!!!! My stomachs still feeling the regret of going here.

Our daughter needed the toilet so we popped in here. I wish I had checked the reviews first. But we were desperate. €6.50 for a 330ml bottle of Sprite. A rip off. Sorry, I don't like leaving bad reviews...

Trapped. Should have read the reviews. My husband and I each asked for 2 flavors in a small. Which you can do in every other shop in Italy and the server asked if I wanted a bigger cone. I said yes. Then we were charged 19€ for 2 gelatos. Then when we went to go look at the pricing again they shut the lights off on us and so we had to leave without getting to ask any questions about the price. It is really sad and unfortunate that I have to leave this review but I hope other people read it before they choose this restaurant.

It’s a tourist trap. They had few ice cream flavors. For 2 medium cups of ice cream and an orange juice 24€!! DO NOT COME HERE. Even if it’s right next to Piazza Spagna it’s shameful and absolutely NOT worth it. The only good this is the waiter but i mean everyone is nice in italy…

I think, this place is a tourist trap. It has a beautyfull outside area with mist dispensers and a lot of plants, but that's an only positive. Other than that, I didn't like the place and can't recommend it. I and my partner had cocktails, and it was a very mixed experience. My Mojito was just water + ice + a teaspoon of sugar + a hint of mint. I was very disappointed. My partner had a Pina Colada, which was okay, but no way worth the price. The drinks were expensive. At least they didn't charge us any extra charges.

We paid 57 Euro for 6 small gelatis - total rip-off merchants. Don’t even think about walking in the door

Thieves, small breakfast for 30 € is a big steal. Don't ever visit this bar, horrible people, only greedy for tourist money. Typical tourist trap

The waiter pressured us into a tip while paying and then when I was standing there in shock he started shouting numbers at the clerk to punch in as a tip which she did without me saying anything. Do not go here! Extremely rude. The food is not good and drinks are watered down.

Tourist trap. Don't go there. 4,75 Euro for one ball of ice cream. The owners should be really ashamed and hopefully they go out of business soon. What a mess! Thieves and robbery.

The passing tourists and the atmosphere was great. Have a misting station outside over the tables which was soooo needed on a long day. The sandwiches tasted great and the aperol spritz were awesome also. Definitely a great rest stop after shopping and walking all over.

Beautiful place in the heart of the city, just a few minutes away from the Spanish steps. Gelato was so good!!

I do not put less stars because I can't. Service awful, we ordered two 33ml beers and they served smaller ones and charged as the biggers. On top of that, they put us some spicy chips with the rest of other different crips on the bottom of the bowl (obviously, from a previous client and without the bowl cleaned...). Avoid it. There are many nice places to go.

Biggest rip off ever!!!! Better off going to the surrounding restaurants that is much more fancier hence why they are busier then this run down shop! The aesthetics of this place looks cheap, like a take away shop however they charge ridiculously expensive prices compared to other restaurants! The staff also tried to charge us an additional 3 euros for sitting down which we were not advised! When we were disputing this scam charge, they pointed to a sign written in Italian. Obviously tourists can’t read Italian to know that they charge 3 euros for sit down, they should have advised guest this prior rather than offering them to sit down!! We have never been in a restaurant in Italy that had this scam charge before!!! Even fine dining restaurants have cheaper menu prices! Absolutely rubbish food served and rubbish service! The Italian lady was yelling at us in Italian and started swearing at us because we did not agree with how they scam people into paying additional 3 euros and charged our meal a completely different price to what was displayed. They tried to charge us 7 euro for a panini when the sign displays it for 5 euro. They should be reported and I hope this store gets fined for scamming tourists!

Absolutely awful, the worst food we have had in Italy. Don't let the tables and aircon fool you. The food is horrendous and we only had panini. Those for "display purposes only" bore no resemblance to the rubbish served. The stated prices also double if eating in. Avoid, especially if hunting a nice porchetta sandwich

Everything OK. Prices are a little bit high, but they are known in advance (2 hugos = 18 €).

I don’t see why people writing “tourist trap” about this place. I can see local old school caffeterie with pleasant staff. Great coffee and home made tiramisu made our day immediately nicer. Even the price for coffee is way less expensive in other so called tourist traps.

we've gotten spritz here twice and a fruit salad the other time and it was lovely but I cant say anything about the food. the staff are adorable and the decor is so typical of Italian bars

terrible service. charged over double the price of a regular gelato because we sat down for one minute while our friend was in the bathroom. rude servers argued with us over price. NEVER go here. They are TERRIBLE. AVOID. DO NOT EAT HERE.

We have spent many a happy afternoon at this cafe and on this trip to Rome returned on consecutive days. The friendly and expert staff do a grand job and we found the atmosphere relaxing and a wonderful people watching opportunity...until the grumpy owner/manageress stomped in, yelling at staff, thrashing around behind the bar and generally upsetting the equilibrium. At least we could leave unlike the poor waiters, whose faces reflected that this was certainly not a singular episode. Will certainly check who is working before we visit again.

It's a trap! Tourist trap, avoid if you see reviews! They are scammers, stealing your money as they take advantage of your expectations, established by other good gelaterias offering delicious gelato at decent pricing. Rip off.

Don’t know why there’s so many bad reviews about this place. We visited today for a couple of drinks in the sunshine. Waiter very efficient so much so that we ordered paninis which were very nice. Menu clearly states prices and you are right by Spanish steps so it’s not going to be cheap. Normally would never entertain anywhere with less than a 4 star rating on TA but pleasantly surprised.

Watched them scam an older american man out of €50 claiming that he gave them €10, don’t be an american with cash here or they will scam you

🫤 RUDE TO ASIANS. Gelato here is incredible with so many flavours to choose from! It’s a gelato heaven from fruit, chocolate and my favourite hazelnut flavours. Be prepared for a little queue but it’s well worth the time. Staff are not friendly. The lady cashier in particular, was outright rude. Sh...
