Fantastic friendly original restaurant. Felt at home right away. Fab food and excellent choice of wines. Foodwise seabass and tuna main courses cannot be faulted. Worth staying longer in town for!

Our best meal of this trip to Spain. Lovely ambience enhanced by very attentive service. Although not cheap the food was of very good quality. Our partridge main course was superb. We were persuaded to try a local wine to accompany it. It is very rare to encounter a 100% Petit Verdot wine anywhere. This biodynamic Ronda example by F Schatz, while not cheap, was of very good quality and accompanied the partridge perfectly. Thank you very much for that.

We came down to look at the gatehouse and found ourselves at Restaurant Almocabar. We asked them to bring food for the table and to match the wine…and what an experience it was. The service was on point with each dish being explained and where the ingredients were sourced from. The sommelier matched the wines to the food perfectly. The wines were again locally sourced. This was one of our favourite dinners this trip. I highly recommend stopping by if you can.

Excellent food!! Highly recommend the place. Ask for off the menu dishes and you won’t be disappointed. Even vegetarian options were great.

Definitely the most overpriced meal we have eaten in our month long trip across Portugal and Spain so far. A lot of dishes lack flavor or don’t really come together. We got lamb, rabbit, and duck and they all lacked the special quality that gets you so excited about eating each item! Their cheapest wine was one of the most expensive and probably the worst wines that I have drank in Europe. Service is nice but I don’t recommend this place for visitors.

Loved this place. Outstanding food, would have gotten 5 stars if they hadn't forgotten my appetizer and only served it after all the mains were done. Our mains also took quite a long time to arrive, but other than that, everything was top notch. We ordered the marinated salmon, truffle fried eggs, pork cheeks, duck with basmati rice, and the foie gras with goat cheese (which came much too late). Appetizers were great; salmon was served in nice thick slices, and the eggs were pretty decadent. Good portions for the mains too, duck was grilled very well, and the marinade/sauce was perfect. Foie gras was the bomb. Such a huge portion, and with the goat cheese and melted caramel - amazing. Needs to be shared. Unless you want a heart attack. Service and wine was good.

The best beef ribs I have EVER eaten, my Wife’s cod was perfect, Iberian pork - very good. Nice surroundings, altogether a very strong 5/5!

Varied menu with interesting flavours and well presented. The new owner and team were attentive and amicable without being too present either. Very good quality/price ratio. We had 2 entrances (carpaccio is to die for), 2 plates, one desert (cheesecake is a must) and a bottle of wine for a grand total of 78€. Fully recommend 👌🏻

I ordered a well done pork meal. They brought it almost alive. I asked again to cook it and they said they did. So, this is their definition of well done pork (see picture added). They also didn't like the fact that I asked for the meat to be properly cooked.

What a delightful meal! Such attentive and personal service complementing really delicious food. I look forward to returning to Ronda just to share smiles and eat here again.

Great sea bass as a main course and French toast with cinnamon ice cream for dessert. Service was impeccable with energetic staff. Quiet interior for conversation.

Very small and cosy place with delicious food! If you are in Ronda, you should come for sure! For the starter i would recommend grilled octopus and stuffed calamari, both have amazing taste and are very fresh. For the main course a must is beef cooked on a hot stone just in front of you on your table directly. If you like rose wine taste a local one Rosado Los Aquilares.

We have just had a lovely evening at this place. Francisco and the staff were all extremely pleasant and helpful. All very professional and the food was excellent. No qualms recommending this restaurant in Ronda.

I can honestly say that eating at Almocabar has been the best dining experience of my life! Francisco and his colleagues do such an amazing job of helping guests feel as if they are in their kitchen at home. The food is absolutely delicious - fresh, simple, and as quality as it gets! The service, particularly with Francisco explaining in beautiful detail off-menu options, is so personal. And, the entire atmosphere is one of quality, coziness and pure delight! My friend and I loved this restaurant so much that we ended up booking a table there again the next day to make sure we fully savored this one-of-a-kind dining experience! I highly recommend this restaurant to any visitor of Ronda. If it's the only place you visit in Ronda, your trip will be worth it!

We had a booking: informed waiter we were after tapas. Directed to a front bar area (chairs stacked, bar closed, no atmosphere) and told it was cash only as card machine not working. We left for the tapas bar across the square where we had an authentic selection of tapas at a fraction of the price, (paid by credit card), seating outside, fabulous service. The food ( according to reviews) might be great but this restaurant clearly does not welcome customers after tapas for dinner.

👍👍 Possibly my favorite spot i visited in Ronda! Our receptionist recommended this spot as his favorite so we thought to try it out. We had the acorn fed pork which was possibly my favorite food of my entire visit to Ronda, so crispy and tender! We also tried the spinach croquettes which were delicious...
