Bodega Doña Felisa - Vinos de Ronda

Winery

👍👍 Big suggestion because we got great and private winery tour in english and the reservation was easy to make via whatsapp.I recommend to taste the homemade tapas and ask help with taxi service if needed. They know local taxi company and we got good bargain with the taxi trip. People often mention wine, wines, good, tapas, tasting, visit, tour, winery, vineyard, experience,

My wife and I were able to book a tour on short notice with Gema, the owner! 30€ per person for tastings paired tapas freshly prepared by Gema herself. 15€ for our kids with soft drinks included. On arrival, we were greeted by Tinto (vineyard dog) and Gema. We toured the vineyard, crushpad, fermentation, press, bottling and barrel room before checking out the area where they keep their library wines. We tasted on a patio overlooking the vineyards at a sturdy table with comfortable chairs. Our first tasting was the Cloe Chardonnay: crisp citrus acidity with wet stone on the mid palate with a hint of salinity though round on the finish due to a percentage of the wine being aged in oak. Cloe Rosado of Garnacha tinta: pale salmon, a la Provence, good structure, medium acidity, a real palate pleaser with ample fruit and clean finish (Noelle's favorite). Encaste: a Young red wine with ample tannin and fruit, similar in many house reds here in Spain. Great value that can be enjoyed now or likely cellared for some time if you prefer aged wines. At a minimum a good candidate for decanting. Chinchilla: Tempranillo with good acidity and some barrel aging, mild acidity and nice and dry. Good texture on the mid palate with lingering finish. Seis + Seis: Tempranillo and Syrah. 9 months oak aged 2.5 years in the bottle. Super dry with velvet finish. Double doce. Cabernet, Merlot. Cherries, tight tannins, very well made with good acidity, this one will age. Short notes here, you really need to visit to appreciate. Tapas pairings were spot on (see photos). A must visit for wine lovers. Buen provecho!

What a wonderful experience. We were really well received and got a thorough explanation about location, grapes and climate. Subsequently, we saw the production premises - and finally wine tasting with tapas. We had the opportunity to taste many of the different wines and definitely also the best. The tapas were in a class of its own - incredibly delicious and homemade. During the wine tasting we got an explanation of areas, grape types used and reason for the names of the wines. It was a really good and very positive experience - definitely worth a visit. They are very professionel in a most friendly way. The visit was set to last 1.5 hours - but we were there for at least two hours - and time just flew. If you are in the area - do your selv a favour and book a visit. The € 30 that a visit costs may seem overwhelming - but believe me it's worth every cent. We will be there again. Five stars from us - now that can not give six 😉

We had a really nice visit at the bodega, then we got the possibility to try 4 different wines, we could choose between two different wines for each glass, so if you are two people you can actually try 8 different wines. We got a good selection of both cold and warm tapas which more or less was a full lunch for us. We will be back!

Very beautiful area. Great wine and very good pairing with delicious food. The published menu is real. You get all the food listed and plenty. Emma is great tour lead explaining the wine making process. Beautiful place but hard to find (for me). Advice use google map not Apple map. Do not be surprise, there unpaved road you will drive to get to the place. Nice country area to drive.

We booked a tasting only. Every course (4 in total) allowed you to choose from 2 wines. The lady seemed way too busy, little explanation about the wines and before we finished 1 wine the next one was already poured. Not a good experience, would recommend to go to other houses where they take more time for you. Tapas accompanying the wines were good though.

We really enjoyed the experience, the host walked us through the process of wine production, we got to see the winery and in the end we enjoyed the tasty and abundant food the host prepared and several wines of the winery that were served according to the dishes they were bringing ( white, reds, moscatel…)

Visited Bodega Dona Felisa on a day trip to Ronda from Malaga and it turned out to be one of the best experieneces of our trip to Spain. Genma the hostess is an absolute delight. Knowledgable on the wines and a master of hospitality, she wisked us through the vineyard for a nice tour detailing the history of the region and the wine making process. This was followed by a 8 course meal with 5 tasting wines. Every dish served was beautifully cooked and delicious. The meal ended with a dessert platter and a dessert wine. Honestly, we forgot that we needed to get to Ronda. The entire experience was pretty amazing and would highly recommend them.

Had an amazing experience at this vineyard near Ronda. The food was beyond delicious and paired well with all the wine we were able to try. It was an in depth education on how wine is made and specifically the processes that are unique at their winery. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to visit a winery in Spain! Not to mention beyond beautiful location!

Unpleasant presentation, no info about wines and viticulture about 25 minutes. The wine is uninteresting. I do not recommend.

Overpriced and unprofessional. The owners said the tour and tasting are not for me because I am a sommelier. Clearly not very good business sense there.
