epic scenery, fantastic place for picnics and team building. There are no shiops one should carry parked lunch. The road is terrible from ndunyu njeru to the parks perimeter fence.

Okay the road there is quite muddy and rough but it's still passable. The hiking itself is not for the faint of heart. So now the good stuff. The view are amazing far beyond what I had expected and the air only gets fresher and crispier as you go higher. So if your not too big on hiking and just want to get some exercise in I would not recommend this. If your a hiker of photographer or some form of energetic thrill seeker this is gonna hit all the right spots for you. Trust me the feeling is surreal when you reach the top. Plus its good training is you plan to hike a bigger mountain like Mt Kenya or Mt Kilimanjaro

Wonderful Experience. Spent Christmas holidays here in the Aberdare National Park, and we also spent a night at THE ARK. One of the good Short Holiday destinations in Kenya and it's about 4-5 hour road drive from Nairobi Central. I suggest to buy both Aberdare National Park and The Ark as one package. Definitely one of the good options for a long weekend stay. Lush green surroundings, Long walks, and Good food.

To summit Elephant Hill, you definitely need to be fit, atleast moderately. The bamboo forest was so calming and beautiful. It is very scenic all the way up. Also got to see a place wreckage from a distance. I was too exhausted to expend my energy on additional sight seeing 😅 had to choose my battles wisely on the trail. Definitely go hike elephant hill if you haven't already.

Visited Raggia Falls. Two falls, an easy and slightly challenging second water fall. For a seasoned hiker, the terrain was easy. 😉 Go easy on the ascend and descent since the Oxygen levels fluctuates due to quick altitude changes. Overall, very calming to seat at the waterfall and hear.

Aberdares is one of the most beautiful place to ever visit. The place is so green with plenty of water falls and amazing scenery. It’s a place that has its on micro-climate where it can rain at a moments notice and it can get so cold during the night. I have hiked, camped and drove through the Aberdares and every time it impresses me.

On this day, I visited the ever gorgeous Ol Donyo Le Satima, the third highest mountain in Kenya sitting at 4001m asl. Such breathtaking views! I always wanted to go there and was very pleased to have experienced high altitude training, hailstorms and trekking through bog. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience in preparation for the big ones! Mt. Kili, I’m ready for you.

Aberdares National Park is home to the best hiking trails in Kenya. Aberdare trails are good preparation hikes, particularly if one plans to climb Mount Kenya, Mount Kilimanjaro, or Ruwenzori peaks. High altitude adds them to the list of the most challenging trails in Kenya. However, natural beauty and the splendor of distinct vegetations, indigenous trees, forest covers, Waterfalls, and rocks formation make Aberdare one of Kenya's most beautiful places. Waterfalls are all over the Aberdares and its ranges. As they roar with might, thrashing over the rocks. You will end up be-waterfalling-in-love with the scenery. The Moorland and the alpine form a great source of major rivers that flow from Aberdares. Athi and Tana rivers drain into the Indian Ocean, Ewaso Nyiro flexes to the Lorian Swamp, and River Malewa flows into Lake Naivasha. The famed Dragons teeth is an excellent spot for Rock climbers and magical views for films.

Went to and reached the 7-ponds in the Aberdares, 3rd climb this year with Ambassadors Football, trying to raise funds to train coaches who will be mentors and father figures to boys and girls in slums. The climb was as tough as it was epic. Altitude almost got to me at 3600m ASL but I made it to the top (3810m ASL). My word, the Views!!! Kenya is beautyful.

Aberdare park was amazing. It is green and has many different animals you can see. In addition there are some (very) short hikes you can do to see different interest points. It is big enough and not too crowded. We had an amazing time.

This place is a good one to view God's nature. 1st time hikers this a difficult one but achievable, the theme never give up is well applied here. It has 4 peaks and your energy and strength will end before you reach the 1st peak, it seems the toughest. Hiking gears are so essential here moreso the hiking boots /gum boots will work so well for you. Eat well and carry more energy drinks and snacks, dress well its so chilly up there. The earlier you start the hiking the better since you will get enough time to rest at each peak.

Aberdare National Park, nestled in central Kenya, offers a captivating blend of diverse landscapes, including lush forests, open moorlands, and cascading waterfalls. Home to an array of wildlife, from elephants to rare species like the bongo, it provides a unique and immersive safari experience, coupled with the allure of scenic beauty and vibrant birdlife.

One of the most difficult hikes in the aberdares. Starting with table mountain, then traversing through unmarked terrain (making the route as you go), to a steep Rhino hill summit. Descending and ascending to find way to seven ponds and back to beginning point. Tried and tested every part of the body, endurance was key. Altitude sickness hit many, from extreme to mild. If you want to do this traverse, train well

A very scenic drive with great views and abundant wildlife. It's very therapeutic, affordable, and the main tracks are easily motorable in more or less any vehicle. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who's looking to relax in the wild.

Very unique scenery! It may get quite rainy and cold and the animals are hard to spot because of the "Jungle". We still managed to see a black serval Cat, which was very cool! Stayed at Reedback Campsite, which didn't really have much concerning Hygiene, but had a lovely hut in case it geht's cold and wet and a great view over the NP.

Tree top is awesome. And the Ark is an ancient kind of a hotel in the middle of the forest. Very hospitable. Last time I was there I enjoyed the scenery. Planning to go back there with my kids very soon.

Awesome for family getaway and superfine luxurious dining and sleeping hotels in the park. Game reserve security patrolled throughout our tour of the park. Very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely visit again.

An impromptu call to hike this place turned out to be the best thing that could ever happen to me in 2020. The terrain is treacherous. The weather unpredictable. You will sing, laugh, cry and curse yourself for coming to hike here. I couldn't get to the summit but I will sure have to go conquer Elephant Hill. The most patient of tour guides, friendly strangers, cost friendly, cinematographic views! Get your hiking boots, snacks and a few friends and go conquer Elephant Hill.
