Beautiful place.. but we had to return the stake to the kitchen twice. TIP: For the stake don't ask for well-done.. You'll be eating some crunchy meat.. ask for medium-rare.. this one atleast was juicy and sweet.. after the second time. The pork chops were also very dry and not worth it Their MOS cocktail is however the bomb ๐Ÿ”ฅ

The place is quite posh, no lying about it. The ambiance is elevating and quite charming. I especially loved the home like feeling of the restaurant with the couches and coffee tables. The feel of the place is phenomenal but service can be a bit slow. Was there for a training event and we were pretty much abandoned to our own devices. I've been there once but the service felt wanting. I don't know if this is what it's like all the time but that was my experience. The price is actually very pricy, more than most other places of the same or higher standard in Nairobi. It's quite good but I'm not sure it's worth the prices they charge. I would still go back because of the relaxed and serene ambiance.

Attention to detail and to the needs of their guests. The food is delicious and they cater for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Their indoor pool is great for guests staying at the hotel. What I really love about Palacina is the delightful interior that makes it a place you want to hangout in. It is home?

Book now! I have stayed a number of places around Nairobi and absolutely love this hotel! It's a great value, set in a quiet leafy green setting but super close to everything. The food is great, the service is on point, the rooms are spacious with lots of seating space, and the beds are very comfortable. It has everything you need for a very comfortable business stay or with a family before safari. Would highly recommend!

Shifty customer service My Business partner and I had checked in to this establishment with high expectations as we were waiting for a prospective client to have dinner. It all started at the barrier where the security team were hardly smiling, and subliminally hostile, forcing me to park my car up the hill yet there was plenty parking right at the gate. After another patron protested, they finally bowed. So while we waited we decided to check into the bar area where we found patrons, but no one manning the bar. We waited for about 15 minutes until Anthony showed up from the back, face glued to the screen of his phone. Already gutted by what had happened at the car park, we had hoped it would be redeemed at the restaurant. But wow. Moving along, we ordered 2 cappuccinos, that took another lifetime to produce, seeing as the cutlery was all the way in another building.(mise en place clearly doesn't exist here) While we waited, other patrons came and were tended to promptly, probably because of their origin, but we're not getting into that conversation today. As a seasoned hotelier myself, I thought that was the kicker but this gets even more interesting for such an establishment. After finishing the Hot beverage, we just decided to shift to another place for dinner since we didn't feel welcome at all. Remember when I said things were getting interesting? The climax to this whole facade of hospitality was when we asked for the bill. Anthony audibly gave us the total to pay, no printed receipt or such... On top of which when we wanted to pay via Mpesa he gave us his own phone number to send the money. If I may ask, do you guys have a paybill? till number? Oh, I have the transaction messages and receipt to prove it. So we sent the money, he printed us a receipt all the way at the front desk (Why not use the POS right there?) and we decided that was that. If there ever was a level of nonchalance displayed anywhere, this was it. SOP's (Standard Operating procedures) or lack thereof, were thrown out of the window. Frankly, I wouldn't recommend to locals, and the two stars are for the ambience and the cappuccino.

This is a furnished hotel apartments, serviced daily, located along Kitale Lane off Dennis Pritt road in Nairobi's Kilimani area. It's one of the finest luxury boutique hotels, owner operated and exclusive facility in Nairobi. It boasts of an indoor and outdoor swimming pools, several meeting facilities, restaurants, family and private rooms, and excellent interior decor that is borrowed from the hotel's sister business. Security, privacy and client service is excellent and is one of the facility's focal areas. Highly recommended

The security personnel is so disrespectful! How do you judge a guest by their dress code! So, people who don't drive can't access your premises to be served? This is a shame and absolutely backward! The gentleman with a walkie talkie, that was uncouth of you! The company ought investigate this! Guest or no guest as long as their have a reason to come to the residences, they are ambassadors of that particular business basing on the hospitality. One bad apple like the security at the gate is absolutely bad for business! These fellows need to learn from the likes of Peter.Good job!

Very disappointing service, we watched as our waitress served another group for a good 45minutes plus. To make matters worse the outlets were not busy. They had their meals as we searched for service. Upon complaining to the service staff she claimed she โ€œsent someoneโ€. She continued taking orders from the tourist family group and came to attend to us after. She took our orders grudgingly as if we were disturbing her. No apologies, no service recovery just a patronizing look of superiority. It is a good property but the service is a major let down!!! Very disappointingโ€ฆ

A lovely spot tucked away from the busy hustle of the area. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated with amenities perfect for short or extended stays. If the weather doesnโ€™t suit the outdoor pool, donโ€™t miss the beautiful indoor heated lap pool. The staff was attentive and friendly - service during meals and around the grounds was great. Would definitely recommend!

I rarely give 5* reviews, but Palacina and their staff really deserve it. I felt very welcome and personally cared for. Also, the rooms interior design is exceptional.

Hey Americans - this is the best deal in Nairobi. Actual 5-star service at literally a fraction of the price. The staff is absolutely delightful. The amenities are top notch. And letโ€™s just say, Iโ€™ve had apartments smaller than these rooms ๐Ÿ˜‚ you will certainly enjoy your time here.

My family and I went for dinner at the Palacina. Some of my family stayed at the hotel. The food was good, the portions were perfect size, not touch, not too little. Their drinks, especially the mocktails were amazing. Fresh and tasty. Chicken biryani: if you order this, please mix it with the yoghurt sauce (served with the dish). The biryani is very well spiced. The decor is top notch, has an upmarket, relaxed feel. I would definitely visit again. Just change the plates, coz they are a bit heavy ( thinking of the waiting staff)

Just went to have dinner at the restaurant. Really nice and cozy. There are beautiful apartments to stay also. They check if you are vaccinated because you are allowed access into the premise so have that handy.

I stayed with my family (2 adults and 2 kids) at Palacina. It was a great decision as the rooms were very big and nicely decorated. We had a suite, I'm not sure if all rooms are suite. The location is outstanding. It's very close to the CBD but it's in a very quiet and nice part of the city. I'm a runner and you can go outside the hotel and run safely. The only small drawback is the speed of service at the restaurant. It's "pole-pole". You're in Africa after all.

I wasn't expecting the room to include a full kitchen and a living room. Nice unexpected bonus! Also, the hotel has 2 washers and dryers that guests are welcome to use. It was very convenient to do a load of laundry as we were running low on clean clothes.

The Palacina Hotel was an incredible surprise in Nairobi. The hotel is immaculately clean; suites are stylishly decorated and spacious. They serve a lavish breakfast, the staff is attentive, and the setting is gorgeous. In addition, I ate the best food in Nairobi there, as they catered for our workshop. From now on, I'll always stay at the Palacina Hotel when visiting Nairobi on a business trip or vacation. Highly recommended.

Hello guys. I'm happy to be here in this page because of good service I received from one of your employee. The receptionist by the name Geoffrey Mogire was very friendly and supportive. He helped us to get the best restaurants and places to visit around Nairobi. Thanks for your good customer service bro Geoffrey. Keep it up.

My family and I stayed at the Palacina August 2023 for 6-7 nights and had a wonderful experience there. The staff went above and beyond especially Jeffery. The rooms were very nice and clean. The food was incredible and we would definitely stay there again when we visit Kenya. I highly recommend Palacina. You wont be disappointed.

Fantastic service from all. From the airport pick up to our too short one night stay, I could not have asked for a better boutique hotel experience. Easy communication with Gilbert at the front desk. David met us after our 14 hour flight with a giant sign at JKIA. We were able to check in early in our spacious suite, with terrace and a living room area. We chose to have lunch and dinner at the hotel. At lunch we shared the lamb samosa appetizer which is one of the best Iโ€™ve ever had. The crust was line and the cilantro chutney perfect. We had the chicken biriyani for dinner. Again, perfection. Our breakfast buffet included fresh local fruits, omelettes cooked to order and the delicious Kenyan coffee. I also had a mint tea, made from fresh mint. No time to swim, but I managed a quick workout. Itโ€™s in the hilly Kilimani area.

  • 4/5 Larry M. 9 months ago on Google
The rooms are fantastic spacious well ventilated and enough air circulation 8/10...the samosas were great 9/10... the service from Cyprian 10/10 the vegetable curry 9/10 the fish was dry and cold inside so 5/10 for the snapper... ambience 6/10..the place would be better if they had provision for easy accessibility for the physically challenged...the place is also extremely quiet which is a nice thing for me

I loved this place. We had 3 rooms there. In 2 of them, we faced issue with hot water and internet but despite that, its a 5 star place because of cleanliness, service quality, staff etc. They are awesome. If in Nairobi, thats the best option to live. Clean bedsheets, no bugs, insects or even mosquitos or gekos. Clean towels, beautiful layout and awesome landscape. Staff respects so much I hardly found anywhere else

I am not usually one to write reviews, but my stay at this hotel was truly a wonderful experience. If you want the feeling of home away from home, this is the place to be. Be it the balconies surrounded by ivy and palm trees, the wonderful indoor pool (there is an outdoor pool as well) or the comfortable mattresses. All beds in my suite were equipped with mosquito nets. The bistro will gladly make you a cappuccino double anytime, just ask. Since the presidential accommodation is only a stone's throw away, the area is very safe. But the real highlight of this hotel is the staff. Very caring, always helpful and a good eye for their guests. Special thanks to Elizabeth who provided everything from bathing suits to medicine to make me feel comfortable. My next stay in Kenya will definitely be again in Palacina - The Residence & The Suites, this time with the whole family. Thank you so much!

We just love Palacina. A stone's throw away from everything in Nairobi yet all green! Has this rain forest feel. Excellent rooms, dining food and staff. Price is just right! The swimming pool is to die for! After our stay here I doubt we'd ever stay anywhere else in Nairobi.

My family stayed at Palacina for 5 nights when we first moved to Kenya. We had a very warm welcome. The staff was very friendly. The grounds were beautiful, including the wonderful swimming pool. The veranda has very comfortable seating and the food was delightful. My only complaint would be the noise of the other patrons at night. We had a penthouse suite, but we could hear every movement and noise made by those below us, making it difficult to sleep at night.

    1. The fresh breadrolls was old bread heated up. For sure not fresh. Still the same issue after we made them aware. 2. The Salmon was plain. For that price and related expectation, the worst experience eating any Salmon in a long time. 3. The Mayonnaise was off....watery no taste 4. The pork chops offering from moonflower days somehow lost the value completely. 5. This was our worst experience in years. The value is nowhere....taste even less. With current competition on food within the immidiate area, this was realy an experience we do not want to experience or repeat again. The ambience and place itself however is very nice.
