I had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed with all the amenities I needed. The bed was comfortable and I slept soundly every night. The hotel also had a great restaurant with delicious food and a lovely atmosphere. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. 😊

Brilliant. Educational and just good fun. An experience that'll never be forgotten. The staff were welcoming, knowledgeable and ready to help and answer all questions they were asked (no matter how inane). Being allowed to get so close to the animals (giraffes) was an incredible treat and feeding them made the experience so much better. Love the giraffes. Love the center. Love the staff. Will definitely be trying to get back to Kenya for another adventure.

The giraffe centre Nairobi, is a fun-filled animal sanctuary that you will never find any where else in the world. You always get a chance to feed the long-necked giraffes with food perets. And you can photograph with the animals being kissing and rubbed by their rough tongues. For anyone visiting Nairobi this a must-visit site that you'll always have a desire to get back to.

So this place is a reserve area for breeding of giraffe. You can feed the giraffes and there are guides brefing you reason for establishing this place . Charges to enter in the place is 1000ksh(10$). Worth visiting if one happens to stay in Nairobi for sometime. Please like it , you like the review and photos

This place is STUNNING. Gorgeous. Exquisite, five-star accommodations. My room was comfortable and beautiful, with a fantastic bathtub and comfy bed. There were fresh flowers in the room, which was a wonderful touch.

I do wish that I’d had a little bit of an introduction or tutorial, as it took me some time to figure out things like the light switches and where the blow dryer was. It seemed that possibly the person who showed us to our room may not have been the person who normally did so? Check-in took a long time, so I was very ready to get to my room. (Despite our having requested an early check-in, which was agreed upon in advance, after our unexpectedly late arrival we were not able to check in until well after their normal check-in time, and the rooms were still not ready at that time. We waited about an hour, and things seemed a bit unorganized.)

But the accommodations were fantastic, and I would love to go back — I would have enjoyed staying longer! This place is absolutely breathtaking and gets five stars from me.

Awesome place to go chill and hang out, learning more about the giraffes and their different species. Very chilled place with a conducive environment. Both kids and adults can visit the place and actually get a chance to feed the giraffes.. There's also the natural trail where you get to see different tree species which are actually medicinal. You also get to see warthogs in their own sites where their stay. The most amazing part is the hospitality from the staff to the guides, well informed and very friendly to the visitors. Exciting place to visit

This is the place to go if you want to see giraffes up close and have a one-on-one interaction with them. And, it is absolutely worth it. One, the place is not far from the CBD. It is really easy to get here, especially when there is no traffic in Nairobi. Also, cabs are easy to get in case you do not have own mode of transport. The staff gives you food to feed the giraffe. It is a great experience. Also, they have a place with pictures and knowledgeable nuggets about the various species and other stuff about giraffes. If you want to learn more about giraffes, you will sure get to learn a few things from here. There is a restaurant inside too in case you want to grab something to eat. For souvenirs, there are show there too, so one can buy a number of cultural artifacts. If you have an hour or 2 to spare while in Nairobi, Giraffe Centre is one of the places to go.

Very beautiful and serene. I like how it’s quiet and calm. The service is amazing and waiters and waitresses are very polite. Rooms are also very spacious, beautiful and luxurious. They have nice views of the gardens and you get worth for your money. Food is also good but i feel the breakfast could have been better and offer more variety for such a hotel. All in all I had an amazing experience and would recommend it.

Our family (grandparents, adult children and grandchildren) spent two nights at the Hemingway before starting our safari. The whole experience was fantastic. The service is superb, the food is delicious and the place is lovely. We took advantage of the massage and the afternoon tea - both very nice. Great place to stay.

One of the best hotels i have stayed in anywhere in the world. The rooms are spacoius with a luxurious colonial feel. The grounds and landscaping is amazing. Try the Salmon, ribs or fish and thank me later. Ooh and every room comes with a butler service.

I loved it 👌🏾💯 very beautiful ambience, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the place was full since it was Sunday brunch, all you can eat and bottomless prosecco, I loved the colors used on the exterior, giving it life ✨ would highly recommend 10/10

Best Sunday brunch in town. Great food with lots of options, warm and relaxing ambience with some live cool jazz playing, bottomless prosecco... the list is endless. The staff are also very helpful and most importantly, knowledgeable and decisive❤

Only visited the spa but was very pleased with the service. Had the couples massage (Cleopatra) with my wife. Very clean and professional, the body scrub had a coffee base that smelled great as it was worked into the skin and the massage was very relaxing and left me in a calm state. Would definitely recommend.

We booked a meeting room for the morning - and were surprised that hot beverages were not included in the (high) cost. They should be. We then had lunch which was a passable 5 out of 10 only. Rectangular plates so narrow it’s challenging to cut things up on them, a tiny bowl of over salted salad, rock hard falafel burger with not ‘hummus’ but a creamy thin tahini type dressing. Very salty chips, the usual ‘basket’ type portion. The waiters either come all at once orc it at all rather than one being in attendance throughout lunch. Tables are not cleared quickly and chairs rearranged aesthetically immediately after guests are left. As we departed it was clear the waiters loiter talking near the kitchen rather than carefully watching the tables. A last note on the bar. Move your chairs from touching either the walls or furniture. A corner standard lamp was touching both corner curtains this morning. The overall impression that no one is glancing at the bar or verandah, where chairs were askew …..SO - wake up management/housekeeping, look at your rooms early morning and throughout meals.

Was only here for one overnight but enjoyed every minute. The bed was comfy, the room was lovely and such nice touches such as the TV that hides away so that you can have a fully unplugged feeling if you choose. Delicous food too, I had the falafel burger.

A 5 star destination in the leafy Karen suburb. Ideal for anyone seeking an upmarket destination for holiday or business travel. Food is very good. Their breakfast buffet has a wide variety of options. You'll love it. Location has stunning views. Its very modern, clean and cosy. There's a swimming pool and other amenities. Staff are very helpful and friendly. They offer airport transfer and chauffeur services.

If you're looking for a place to go for date night where you can have a sombre conversation with your significant other. Don't shy away from taking your girls there for a good catchup though. It's perfect. The view that overlooks the restaurant is breath-taking with the flowing water exuding a relaxing chill homey feel. The gueridon service was one of the perks I enjoyed and the staff were excellent.

the food is bland and overpriced, There is absolutely no flavor, the menu looks diverse but everything is the same - tasteless. the food does not do justice to the ambience at all, it is highway robbery, you need to replace the entire kitchen staff immediately. the food is very very poor.

LOVELY HOTEL IN THE SUBURBS OF NAIROBI! ---We recently stayed at Hemingway’s for 3 nights. ---The spacious rooms are huge- featuring a seating area and private terrace. There is a beautiful bathroom with abundant closets. The décor is furnished attractively. ---The service at the hotel is superb. All the staff have great attitudes. ---We ate dinner at the hotel in their lovely outdoor area every night. The food was delicious. Thank you to our waiters-Gideon, Paul and Victor for your great service you provided. ---My only suggestion would be to improve the breakfast buffet in the morning especially the pastries and breads. ---We had two butlers, Dennis and Kennedy who were very attentive. ---Be sure to make time for the Spa. The massages we had were fabulous and also very reasonably priced. Thank you to Belta and Mary. I also had a manicure by Winnie who was great. ---We also enjoyed going to the upstairs outdoor Bar for drinks and Jacinta waited on us. She is a lovely lady! ---Our room was cleaned to perfection by housekeeping. ---There is a great gift shop in the hotel that had wonderful products. ---Thank you also to Shelia (Assistant Manager) Linet (Hostess), Bernard (waiter at breakfast), and Dennis (Director of Housekeeping) ---We had the pleasure of meeting the General Manager, Richard Kaimenyi who runs a wonderful hotel. ---For activities in Nairobi we went to Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage. It was crowded and we were ready to leave after 10 minutes. After seeing elephants on our Safaris it was a letdown. They do have a great gift shop there with adorable t-shirts. ---The highlight of sightseeing for us was the Karen Blixen Museum that we found so fascinating. The Karen Blixen Museum was once the centre piece of a farm at the foot of the Ngong Hills owned by Danish Author Karen and her Swedish Husband, Baron Bror Blixen-Finecke. The museum belongs to a different time period in the history of Kenya, and later gained international acclaim with the release of the movie ‘Out of Africa’, an Oscar winning film based on Karen’s autobiography by the same title. We had a wonderful guide who explained everything in detail before we went in the house. Her house that you will visit is all intact like it was when she lived there. ---We also enjoyed going to the Kazuri Beads Factory that we loved visiting. It is a huge factory where they make beautiful jewelry from clay and provide employment to over 300 single mothers in Kenya. You will see step by step process how beads are made and there is a wonderful shop to buy beads at end of the tour. The ladies all sing and dance that was very entertaining.

Hemingways offers breathtaking views, a prime location, and delectable food. The ambiance and view are especially enchanting at night. However, for just dinner or brunch, the experience may not be as captivating. Overall, it's a fancy spot with some room for improvement.

  • 5/5 Myra M. 1 year ago on Google
I loved the experience at Hemingways right from the gate to the service. Typically, you'll go to a luxury hotel on a bike and have to answer a thousand questions before you are let in. Then, if they let you in, you are told to park at a kacorner next to the gate. That wasn't the case at Hemingways. I was welcomed well, and we were shown where to seat. My friend and I both had a healthy salad. I took mine with mango juice and she had tea. The salad was perfect. Well, except for the whole leaves in the salad 😀 (but I guess that's a thing?). The juice was fresh. The environment was serene.

The ambiance of the place is incredibly serene and peaceful, creating a beautiful and tranquil atmosphere. The attentive and courteous staff provide exceptional service, ensuring a delightful dining experience. The rooms are not only spacious but also exquisitely designed, offering a touch of luxury. Moreover, the rooms provide stunning views of the gardens, allowing guests to fully appreciate the surrounding beauty. The value for money is excellent, as the experience truly exceeds expectations. The food is also of exceptional quality, providing a truly enjoyable culinary journey. Overall, I had an amazing experience and would highly recommend it to others.

Went for lunch and it was the best brunch experience I've had in Nairobi so far. The location is perfect for a getaway from the city. The staff are amazing and friendly from the manager coming to say hello to every other staff we engaged with. It's family friendly. The food was a 10/10 . Our server Charles was funny and just the best. Can't forget Cate too they really made our day awesome

  • 3/5 Joy S. 1 year ago on Google
It seems, the Sunday Brunch gets pricier as the hours get reduced. One bottle of prosecco has to traverse through out the entire brunch grounds before they open another, meaning service is not that great. One would think the service would be top notch, seeing as the price has increased, and the times reduced. The servers are professional but kept saying that it was policy that that one bottle of prosecco is finished before opening another, meaning that they kept moving from one far corner to another with one bottle filling up glasses. I found it ridiculous, but oh well. Food was delicious and varied. The sushi bar was exceptional. Great for those not looking to have a drink.

What a wonderful hotel. The staff were all just so attentive and helpful. Grounds and facilities extensive. This was truly a fabulous oasis in Nairobi. Would highly recommend.

  • 1/5 Diana W. 1 year ago on Google
Extremely poor service. Was there on a Sunday afternoon with a friend at around 1730hrs when traffic was slow. I stayed there for a full hour without being served hot chocolate, while I watched the same service personnel serve clientele of a different race and potentially regulars much faster. It seems there's open discrimination and preferential service. I would not recommend.

  • 3/5 Thomas a. 1 year ago on Google
Top location, beautiful views, good food and drinks, but the service is a big mess: - very slow - arrogant and unfriendly - complain to management doesn't help as they are not better - no compensation for mistakes, accidents or complain. Such an amazing location deserves better stuff and management especially as the prices are in the highest level, already ridiculous high, limitless

  • 5/5 Simon G. 1 year ago on Google
We took an Uber for a 30 minute drive outside Nairobi for a special dinner for my wife’s birthday and our last night in Kenya. We were not disappointed; probably the best meal we had in 5 weeks in Kenya and the Seychelles. My first steak since I left London was faultless and delicious. To be hyper critical my wife’s risotto was delicious but slightly overcooked. But the real highlight were our 2 waiters, Newton & Faith. They were cheerful, enthusiastic, attentive, charming, amusing, very efficient and obviously enjoyed working together as a team. Totally professional and a real credit to Hemingways.

  • 4/5 Willa M. 4 years ago on Google
First bummer was that they don’t accept cash and twas either mpesa or card. So my guide had to come pay for me since I only had cash. Just a handful of giraffes here. You buy some food and feed them or walk around the education display to learn more about giraffes in Kenya especially. Aside from that, there isn’t much else to do aside looking through the souvenir shop to get some souvenirs. The cashiers at the souvenir shop weren’t the friendliest people there are. The most time you could spend here may be 20 minutes max.
