Great place to hike in the morning. Even better to picnic in the afternoons. It is a tough hike if youโ€™re going all the way to kona baridi but very doable. You can solo hike but if youโ€™re new i would recommend going with an armed guide.

This is a place you visit for hikes or relaxed walks. It is not so challenging for regular hikers but can be a toil for new hikers. Many spots to park and enjoy the amazing views especially the sunrise and sunset. The security has really been improved with the management offering regular patrols by both uniformed and plain cloth forest wardens. Enjoy this place.

This forest reserve in Kenya is one of the best place to visit. It offers a spectacular view of the valley and the richness in nature. Its has big big turbines that make your photos shine and also produces green energy. I love this place .if youre fit and has a good stamina this place is for you. the climb is not easy specially if you start from the beginning though Its a very good exercise. When you visit this place, make sure to invite some friends, it would be very fun and interesting. You can bring food as well as the town is a little distance, Make sure you have plenty of water.

A beautiful place suitable for physical workouts (hikes, morning jogs) picnics. From the the highest point one gets a superb view of Nairobi city and the surrounding areas such as Ngong town and Rongai among others. The place has very fresh air and a cool breeze. It also offers some tranquility suitable for spiritual meditations.

This was the most challenging hike for me, so far. Firstly, because of the extremely cold and foggy weather. And, secondly, because of the number and steepness of some of the hills to be 'conquered' in about 4 or 5 hours or so. It is said that there are around 7 of them. However, to me, it felt like they were 15 or more. Anyway, the hills are quite popular as there were several groups hiking there at different times throughout the day. Once you do get to the summit, the view is spectacular and you temporarily forget about aching joints and muscles or the dreaded descent that awaits you. That being said, it would be wise to carry/wear a hiking stick, non-slip footwear and warm, comfortable clothing (especially if you intend to hike very early in the morning). You will thank me later...

A must visit place. However ensure you have your warm clothing right, it's quite windy! But definitely enjoyed it. Fresh air. The scenery! "Nairobi is a small city"---based on the view from the highest point! The city gets tamed! Haven't visited? Better plan to!

The seven hills of Ngong Hills are amazing. They form a chain of mountains straight southwest of Nairobi on the outskirt of Ngong town. Its the best place to have a good view of Nairobi, relax on the green grassland and watch a wonderful sunset.

Ngong hills is an amazing place to hike. One gets satisfaction after completing the seven hills. The views from the hills are spectacular. Hiking as a group makes it more fun because you cheer each other on to the end. The Kona Baridi side is extremely cold. It is advisable to carry a jacket.

The Ngong Hills are peaks in a ridge along the Great Rift Valley, located southwest near Nairobi, in southern Kenya. The word "Ngong" is an Anglicization of a Maasai phrase "enkong'u emuny" meaning rhinoceros spring, and this name derives from a spring located near Ngong Town The Ngong Hills, from the eastside slopes, overlook the Nairobi National Park and, off to the north, the city of Nairobi. The Ngong Hills, from the westside slopes, overlook the Great Rift Valley dropping over 1,000 m (3,281 ft) below, where Maasai villages have been developed. The peak of the Ngong Hills is at 2,460 m (8,071 ft) above sea level. There is a walking trail along the tops of the Ngong Hills. Kenya Forestry Service has a small post at the NE foot of the park. There is a KSH 600 fee for visitors

It's AMAZING but slight issue if you are a girl I feel that it is not safe to go alone I did once and I felt very uncomfortable at the security check in if you know what I mean the security men were just very creepy and looked at me in weird ways then one of them asked me if I live alone and it was overall a nice place with a beautiful view but the security not so much your supposed to feel safe around security not scared

An amazing place to go with friends and give yourselves a challenge to complete all the hills of Ngong. You get to meet amazing Masai making jewelry and ornaments you can buy. Carry your own food and drinks. Use recyclable bottles and containers to avoid destroying the beautiful environment. Some of the scenes are really beautiful so take some photos. Can also be very cold so wear warm if its raining season carry a raincoat. Remember to get there early to get the full experience.

It was my first time hiking, i did the whole 7 hills and back and i saw heaven closer than i thought possible. Carry water, something sugary to boost your energy levels and wear some good hiking shoes. No, buying a thick hiking stick is not wise,it becomes heavy as you walk,so go for the thinner ones.
