It was, for me, a wonderfully astonishing experience taking in the beauty of these gardens. It's evident that it is the coming to life of a vision that brought together a an array of knowledge, expertise and skills. It's a legacy. Oh the Water Lilies are favourite feature in the gardens.

Such a relaxing place . The place is super clean, and well built. Super conducive for photography. The ambience in this place is way above bar making it one of the very best chilling spots around. Above all it's super cheap; Ksh 50 per student.

The garden is absolutely stunning, a very calming place to be. Awesome for bird watching, or just sitting and deeply relaxing as you soak in the calmness nature presents to you. Definitely train for your perfect picture poses because every point of it calls to be framed. Go with a friend or more and create memories there. Find a spot to sit under a shade by the lakes-if that is what they are- and watch birds swim from side to side. It is totally worth it. A beautiful way to relax.

A good recreational venue with a wide variety of plants. The lily pond is especially enjoyable and walks along the extensive pathways are therapeutic.

Ambient. Secure parking Wheelchair accessible Good for Children… Cash or M-PESA…. Be sure to pay at the reception. However, there are no litter bins in most of the places and think you should keep this in mind.

It’s one of the best places to be within JKUAT Premises. The garden is well organized and planned and is conducive for walks, events, photo sessions and general fun. It has a water feature and various kinds of trees and plants which make the environment serene and a beautiful scenery to hang around. It also has footpaths to help guide you. It’s a Masterpiece inside JKUAT

Title: Exploring the Natural Beauty: A Review of JKUAT SAJOREC Botanical Garden Introduction: Nestled within the serene grounds of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), the SAJOREC Botanical Garden is a hidden gem that offers a tranquil escape from the bustling city. This review aims to highlight the captivating features and commendable efforts of the botanical garden, as well as provide an expert analysis of its overall appeal and potential areas for further development. Natural Beauty and Biodiversity: The JKUAT SAJOREC Botanical Garden is a haven of natural beauty, boasting a diverse collection of plants, trees, and flowers. The garden's well-manicured paths wind through lush greenery, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the splendor of nature. The thoughtful organization of plant species and the inclusion of informative signage contribute to an enriching experience, making it an ideal spot for nature enthusiasts, researchers, and anyone seeking a peaceful retreat. Conservation and Education: One of the remarkable aspects of JKUAT SAJOREC Botanical Garden is its commitment to conservation and education. The garden serves as an invaluable resource for research and environmental studies, providing a living laboratory for students and scholars. It showcases various ecosystems, including indigenous trees, medicinal plants, and ornamental flora, fostering an understanding of Kenya's rich biodiversity. The presence of trained guides and educational programs further enhance the garden's educational value. Recreational Amenities and Facilities: The botanical garden offers well-maintained recreational amenities that cater to visitors of all ages. Picnic spots with benches and shaded areas provide a perfect setting for a family outing or a peaceful lunch amidst nature. The garden also features well-marked trails for walking or jogging, allowing visitors to engage in physical activities while enjoying the beauty of the surroundings. However, it would be beneficial to provide additional facilities such as restrooms and seating areas at strategic points to enhance visitor comfort. Maintenance and Development: The efforts put into maintaining the garden's cleanliness and organization are commendable. The pathways are clear, and the vegetation is regularly pruned, creating a neat and inviting atmosphere. However, there is room for improvement in terms of signage and information boards. Enhanced signage would aid in identifying various plant species and provide visitors with valuable knowledge about the garden's unique features. Accessibility and Visitor Experience: JKUAT SAJOREC Botanical Garden is conveniently located, making it easily accessible to both local residents and tourists. The entrance fee is reasonable, ensuring that the garden remains an affordable attraction for all. The friendly and knowledgeable staff members contribute to a positive visitor experience, readily offering assistance and guidance. Conclusion: JKUAT SAJOREC Botanical Garden is a true natural treasure, offering visitors an opportunity to reconnect with nature, learn about biodiversity, and relax in a serene environment. Its commitment to conservation and education is commendable, providing a valuable platform for research and fostering environmental awareness. While the garden already offers an enriching experience, continued efforts in maintenance, signage improvement, and facility development will further elevate its appeal. Whether you are a nature enthusiast, a student, or simply seeking tranquility, a visit to JKUAT SAJOREC Botanical Garden is sure to be a rewarding experience.

This place is magical. It's open to the public. Can be ideal for a staycation (there's no swimming pool though). The beautiful grounds are excellent wedding venues, or other events such as birthday party. Booking in advance is required due to high demand

There's a serene environment that would be an epitome of relaxation. A wide variety of birds flying in and going out just to take some water and fill their thirst. There is a vast pond with a variety of fish and water lilies. Various areas of relaxation with the structure of Chinese family temples. It is superb.
