Very poor service. Only Nurse Mary Macharia was helpful. She was Clean hearted and mindful of our patient. I do not recommend you to take your loved ones here.

Entrance like a dark depressing cave. Staff the same ! 45 minutes for just 2 patient registration! With no one else to attend to! 15 minutes for payment after their system failed ! The ultra sound room dark, hot, stinky! Very uncomfortable! The facility is poor. There is no additional duplicate screen for the mother to see what is happening. As a hospital the facilities are poor and sub standard ! By the time you get your report, most probably the child will be in university! 😭🤣😭

The accounts department has one of the worst services ever. It's easier to go through surgery than to go through billing and accounts. The accountants there have zero Customer service, are rude and no willingness to help. Please check the billing process!!!

Rest in peace Victor. A very energetic young man, came to the hospital for a surgery. Was high in spirits, sorry it didn't work... The doctors had given 99% assurance that all would go well. The doctors messed it and they will never admit. After 4 hours of the surgery, they came to us and told us that everything was successful. And he would be discharged in 10 minutes! We had to wait for another 6 Hours and the bad news. Terrible hospital.

Was admitted for 4 days for a minor surgery. Positive feedback: Female nurses were overall kinder than males. Food is great and healthy. Quick responses from nurses while in recovery wards and great support from doctors. Highly trained doctors and nurses. And no overcrowding compared to the Nairobi hospital Negative feedback: Mosquitoes inside the recovery wards are a nuisance, but it was only one mosquito. Verdict: 10/10 would recommend. Visited a doctor and gave blood sample. Paid for 3 tests.Result was to be collected after 3 hours. Came back for Result after 4 then 7 hrs. Results still not ready.Then visited after 2 weeks. Results only given for 2 tests. Very sad.

Service delivery is painstakingly slow, basic blood tests to check for infection could take up to 2 hours, or more. Come ready to wait.

I found the services at the maternity wing appalling. Lack of empathy from some of the attending nurses is the last thing a patient who has undergone CS should be meted with. Heck, I was harassed for not producing milk like it was a fault of my own! Not to mention that my hubby, my first of kin, was denied tea after politely requesting for the same despite my being admitted in the private wing for 4 days!

The discharge process is too long and painful. At the end we were informed the medicines in the prescription were not available and that's why the discharge took 4 hours. The nurses kept blaming the process and other people. Very poor service in general. Just over rated over priced hospital

You say you have allergies to certain medicine and they prescribe you medicine with the same thing you're allergic to inside.

My brother had removal of a ruptured appendix! Later on had several complications specifically peritonitis bc the surgeon did not clean out the ruptured contents of the appendix!… he was near to having a sepsis bc of the careless doctors. I would not recommend this hospital!!!

Today I visited Karen Hospital and from the Nursing station everything was smooth until theater. Nurses and Dr Muruka were so helpful. Theater staffs were very friendly and kept me company throughout. Keep up the good work

Heart clinic. They are not time consious. Poor attitude. If i weren't a guardian of the sick person, this is a hospital i would not visit on my own accord!

That place is not for healt. they are only after money. We went emergency more than 1 hour waited i wormed then they called us. even we could not see doctor. Only for 4 days we stayed there and only Serum and painkiller they gave we paid more than 1M kes. No good service and very expensive. Just go another hosbital really.

had the worst experience today at the pediatric unit, karen branch for immunization and waited fr a very long time, it was favourism stayed at the waiting area as some of the known patients (by the nurses) come in and got served..... left there without being attended to and wen I complaint they started saying there system is down, I has all my 4 kids at the same hospital and never received such service

My experience at the hospital was awful. They did unnecessary lab tests and even forgot to prescribe me with the medicine that I needed most .I wasn't even told the prices for the lab tests,I was just given a receipt to go pay for the lab tests that some were unnecessary .I wondered how they could miss something that serious instead they prescribed me with medicine for something that could've waited . I almost died ,I only noticed later that I had no medicine for what I was suffering from . Very disappointed. Otherwise Dr Becky Njuguna was nice to me .

I waited for almost 3hrs and didn't see a doctor. I had to cancel my visit because it was late at night. The hospital is very slow and honestly the worst hospital I have ever been to. Someone can be in a critical condition and you keep them waiting for over 3hrs?!. The hospital is not fit to run. The staff didn't care and the long wait time doesn't enstill confidence that I will get good treatment. Just close the hospital for everyone's sake.

The doctors are professional, caring and so great with kids. I remember my son had a blood infection. So he was to get an injection put on his arm. I don't know u doctor call but it was his first time. Before I went to avenue I took him to the nearest hospital but the way they handled my son was terrifying. So I decided to go my usual hospital and but do I say I was shocked wen the Doc Karl handled my son with care, games and agreed to be injected without even a tear falling. I hope we get more of him in hospitals... Thanks again Doc.

My first contact was with Getrude the receptionist and I was completely blown away by how helpful and kind she was and how fast she was at getting back to me! A lot of doctors don’t realize how important it is to have a receptionist like Getrude. The first point of contact is crucial! I would have given a zero if possible. The level of unprofessionalism is appalling! The diagnosis of patients is basically guesswork. The nurses are reluctant to help. You would be lucky to get doctors assistance incase of an emergency. They do not effectively monitor patients or even listen to patients when they tell them about their symptoms. They are sluggish and have no regard for patients well being. They nearly killed my patient during a simple procedure then tried to cover up. The place is also dirty, half of the floor tiles are cracked, the ICU beds are dirty. The washrooms are rather dirty, the fixtures are broken. Go to this hospital at your own peril!

My experience proved to be unpleasant at Karen Hospital. Having just moved to the neighborhood and having heard some reviews about the hospital I wanted to take a look. The care from the nurses and doctors was slow and they ended up discharging us with no prognosis and a lack of follow through. When we went back it was still the same non-chalantness.

The receptionists at the enquiry desk were pleasant and helpful. Service too was quick and professional. It was therefore not very busy. I also like the fact that there is no vehicle parking fee unlike most other hospitals which have turned it to a new revenue stream.

This is the hospital with the best cardiac services in Kenya. My 4 years old daughter underwent an open heart surgery for a vsd closure and a valve repair on 5th October 2017, with excellent results.She spent 1 day in ICU and three days in the wards. The hospital has world class cardio- thoracic sergeons and cardiologists who give patients so much confidence even before surgery. Before surgery, we interacted with many more patients that had undergone open heart surgery and this really strengthened us.There was no doubt that our daughters' operation was also to be successful since these were routine procedures at karen.Four open heart surgeries (all successful) were carried out during our 5 days stay there.Truely, Karen Hospitals' big heart beats for all kenyan, and so it does for my daughter. Somebody told me that taking a patient with a heart problem to karen hospital is like taking a Toyota car for service at Toyota kenya garage and so one needs to worry not. I have confirmed this and will certainly tell any patient out there the same thing. There is no guess work here, This is a place full of proffesionals.God bless Karen hospital and expand it beyond anybody's imagination.

Waiting for hours to see a doctor! This has happened more than once but unfortunately as the only hospital open at night in karen, one has no choice. The minimum average time to see a doctor is 2hrs.

Everyone was warm and friendly from the reception to the end. For excellent customer experience, this is the hospital to be. I also noted your prices for medications are cheaper than some pharmacies. I couldn't believe it.

I had gone for a covid vaccination and but that day there was no vaccination the gate keepers told us the day we should come back not in many places people would do that I took photos I thought I'd be told to delete them I was scared taking them but no one spoke to us in a rude way the hospital is in a good looking environment gate keepers are friendly everyone who I interacted with seemed understanding.

We used there imaging services today. Very helpful, we had forgotten to bring the prescription from the doctor but had an electronic copy. They were able to print it for us so the scan cab be done. The girls were friendly and very comforting. Plenty of parking.

This is the second time at Karen Hospital but the experience is all the same, awful service.....snail paced processes. It is an hour now but nothing done for my patient except being issued with queuing token.

I am one very dissatisfied and disappointed patient.. i was scheduled for 8:00am and i was there some mins to, enquired on how to start only to be taken round. I was made to signs some for and was assured that everything was okey just waiting for my turn only to find out thay they were yet to send approval from my insurer 5hrs later. Thanks to Doc Kariuki who really took the issues to makes sure i was sort... Got out of the hospital at 7pm from 8:00am for a procedure that took 1 hr. I appreciate Doc Kariuki

The booking system for the Consultant Clinic should be reviewed. We booked an appointment one month ahead. When we reported, we were told the appointment was given to someone else. Our "fault" was that I did not receive their follow-up phone call or call back the day before (on a unknown number!). With a disabled patient, this was very annoying and stressful. Good enough, they finally sqeezed us in somehow and we were attended. Why did nobody tell us, that a booking is only valid if confirmed a day before???

The facility is excellent in every way from excellent services to hospitable staff and the prompt care is recommended for all that seek personal touch to health care. The serene environment is a plus.
