Very very slow service. I made an order and one hour later. Nothing. I sent a second person and thirty minutes later. Nothing. I asked for a third time and was told that the original order was not placed and the person went home. I ended up parking my meal (pork and fries) and sadly, it was over salted and the packaging was the most casual in a white bag and foil just like kibanda. It was not value for money at all!!!. I was disappointed to say the least. The parking space is adequate though

Food was good, we did not particularly like being accosted by a drunk man who claimed to be the owner. Some of the waiters acted like they were being bothered , no surprise there if the 'owner' behaves like he did.

I have been to The Smith countless times since 2014 and have always had a memorable experience each time.The staff are welcoming and always serve you with a smile.Their rooms are very clean and comfortable.I love the gardens that are well manicured as well as the pool which is always clean though a bit small.The place is perfect for families so i highly recommend.

I visited this place for the 1st time back in 2019 and on coming back today the place looks more exquisite 🌟. The ambiance is great from the entrance and has a chilling ground at the back area which also has a swimming pool. Children playground is also available so on weekends if you have a family you can take your children there as well as you enjoy your food and drinks...The only downside comes to service,it kinda takes long for one to be served and also for your order to come but overall it's an affordable,great place to visit.👏

Charming hotel in the suburbs of Nairobi. Far from the busy-ness of the city Staff is amazing!

The hotel is a nice oasis in suburban Nairobi. There is a lovely pool and a diverse array of dining spaces. The hotel has special activities for children (bouncy house, train etc) for children on weekends. The rooms are adequate, as are the bathrooms and beds, keeping in mind that African hotels have a different character than American hitels. The restaurant food is very good, and it's interesting to watch the cooks in the open air kitchen. I would also highly recommend, if a driver is needed, to have the hotel contact "Joseph" to provide driving services. He is careful, friendly and courteous.

The staff was wonderful, the rooms are lovely, the food was great. It’s quiet and peaceful and was a perfect place for us to stay.

Elegant hotel. After the gym you can sit outside and take your breakfast while enjoying the morning breeze,you can also swim here and take karate classes. The lawn is well maintained that gives it that beautiful look.

The food & drinks menu is awesome. •Outdoor seating available. Properly manicured bushes & grass. Seats are also quite comfortable. •Ample parking space. •Swimming pool available. Although, call ahead of time if you are planning to go for a swim or you might find school children swimming there during the day. (Guess they hire out the pool to schools). •Carwash available. •$$$$ well, the experience is pricy. WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE ... •Carwash space is so squeezed. Navigating your car around there is a problem.

Nice friendly place. Good food. Service friendly but slow. Reasonably priced. Rooms are adequate. Showers are either too hot or too cold. Matatos (taxis and buses) are very annoying in the morning with their honking and blowing their horns outside the hotel. Getting good sleep is difficult

It was so beautiful. It has a touch of elegance. It is peaceful and quiet. We sat on a table surrounded by green trees swaying in the wind. It felt like a break from Nairobi. The service was very good and the food was delicious. We stayed there till evening so when it got a bit chilly we moved to a table indoors. It was super cozy for conversation. I will back.

I had heard so much about this joint before I ever stepped in. It's a nice family oriented spot. But I think it has been played up a lot so I felt somewhat underwhelmed by the experience. Food was good. Service was OK, but slow. The alfresco dining experience was great.

I loved the services offered. The attendant who served us (Steve Biko) was very neat, efficient, patient, ready to serve and with good customer care service. The place is awesome. I love the lush garden area where there's the swimming pool. The play area is also fairly priced considering there are no time limitations. However, the pool is a bit small, but nonetheless, it's a place you should definitely try out, especially, if you're with your family.

Good environment, affordable and tasty food, should try their beef wet and ugali if you are planning to visit.but when it comes to waiting for food you must be patient ,it takes around 20 minutes to get your food.there is a big swimming and lots of kid's playing areas.the waitress are so friendly and I liked the fact that they told me the food will take quite sometime.(the honesty)

You have some little ones that playing on weekends. The Smith is the ideal place for weekends after church. They have big space and amenities for children. Trampoline, mini train, toy cars, swimming pool and everything that excites a child. For adults they have lots of sitting area with comfortable seats. Delicious meals and sweet environment. You need to visit.

The Smith is a home away from home. Great open spaces, the main lounge is spacious and well furnished. The food is an awesome treat to the palate and sumptuous portions served. It has a well stocked bar to those who love abit of liquor. On good sunny days, the swimming pool is a must. There is ample parking and accessed from magadi road that runs right outside the perimeter wall.

I went here to eat. The order was not fulfilled properly, after taking so long, and the waitress was not friendly nor cooperative. Anyway, the food was fine. So if you're looking for somewhere where you order one thing and get a different one(again the cooking standard is good, but attention to customer requirements is wanting) u should try it out.

The hotel is beautiful with beautiful grounds. Has a swimming pool and play area for kids so that’s a plus if you have kids. It has lots of sitting space inside and outside depending on your preference. I ordered the Texas burger which was really good and would recommend it. The nyama choma was also really good and quite soft 💯 One thing though…if you’re new there or it’s your first time, the waiters will ignore you unless you motion them to serve you. My partner and I were surprised when we arrived and sat but some lady waiters who were standing near the bar just ignored us and continued chatting as if we were invincible. A male waiter who was really helpful and kind finally walked in and served us.

Nice quite place, has a bar and restaurant which are separate and private. Would recommend for intimate dinners or night out with friends. The food was delicious, and the waiters were very friendly and attentive. The resident Dj was also friendly, and from time to time, he would check up on us to confirm if we are having a good time and if we need different kinds of music, I mean, I was blown by their customer service 💯!!

We happened to be stranded around Rongai with family. As for the space we had prior planned for happened to be fully booked fault being on our part. But this happened to be a gain for we explored The Smith and I had to quickly look at the review before we called and booked before arrival. A gentle soul called Shawn helped in the reservation. We got two standard rooms. A standard room is 4k without breakfast and superior room is 6k without breakfast. The rooms are very spacious and very comfortable even as a standard room. The meals are very sumptuous we had dinner and we had the platter (4k) and we all got full. Breakfast was very filling and they got thumbs up. When they made oats porridge for my boy and as much I had to pay extra for that but I felt they made the consideration for my toddlers who wasnt into their standard choices for breakfast. The ambience is awesome soft music is always playing at the dinning areas... There is a separate bar their lavatories are very clean and easy on the eye. Their customer service is very warm also the waiters are very friendly. The kids have a variety of games to play and the car rides are Kshs 200 for 10 mins. We celebrated an anniversary and we enjoyed our stay at the Smith. The only thing they should have a variety of cakes to spoil a sweet tooth.

A nice place..we particularly loved the ambience of the place .Its located close to the road so easy access...This particular male waiter from the coast was very nice. The hawks can however go away with your entire lunch . Over all its a good place

Visitied here for a business meeting. Very clean grounds. Family friendly. Has a swimming pool. Great spot for family days, meeting up with friends by the bar or even a business meeting with the enormous conference room facilities.

They chose to remix our order and add samosas to our platter, which we didn'task for. When asked the waiter said "samosas are usually in this platter, just that it's not written on the menu", another comment was "you're the first people to complain about us adding samosas" And the the portions of what we ordered in our platter were greatly compromises by the addition of the unwanted samosas. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!! LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS,BRING WHAT THEY ASK FOR, AND IF YOU WANT TO GET CREATIVE WITH OUR ORDERS, CHECK WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS FIRST. AND ADMIT WHEN YOU BRING THE WRONG THING.
