This place has amazing desserts! They have Ice Cream, Malts, Sundae's, and more. The Dole whip is super good. It's dairy free and has the consistency of an ice cream x sorbet combo. The day I went the daily flavor was pomegranate and it was so good. Warning: if you get a cup the amount of ice cream you get is almost double how much could fit in the cup (because they tower it up really high. 10/10 ❤️

Seriously, you folks made my day if not my year by being open during the first snowy day of the season! I came over fully thinking "nah, they'll be closed".. nope, open! True Minnesotan spirit! And as always, the malt and sandwich were superb. 👍

The Pineapple Dole Whip Swirl with Vanilla was absolute perfection on a perfect sunny day! The vanilla shake was the Best! Their plain hot dog scrumptious! The staff fast, efficient & friendly! Waiting in line worth it for sure! The area near to sit and enjoy your ice cream of choice quite pleasant! Highly recommend. 🍦 Would show a picture of the acquired goods but so excited to dig in that only remembered once it was all gone...trust me, it's worth the visit. Run, don't walk, before they close for the season. Went back a week later to get Raspberry Dole Whip with Vanilla and Orange/Vanilla swirl with the Brats. Well worth the trip!😋

I have been going here probably since 2009 when we moved nearby. I love this little ice cream shop! The ice cream is so tasty and the food is really good too. Super cheap ice cream as well. With so many combinations it's almost endless. There's something for everbody. If your worried about the long lines, they actually move pretty fast. Looked long and only took about 6 or 7 minutes to get to the front of the line.

We love Cup and Cone so much! Been coming here since I was a kid, and enjoy sharing it with my kids now. They have a great variety of fairly priced ice cream items as well as food items. And theu have the best selection of dairy free flavors of anywhere I've ever been for ice cream. Online order is smooth if you don't want to get in line, but their patio experience on a warn day is great too. Definitely recommend.

The amount of ice cream you get for a large cone is a lot. 6 inch swirl on a cake cone for 3.75, you really can't beat it. Ice cream flavors are lacking a bit, but how they mix it up is by having the usual 3 available, and a flavor of the day. I got the flavor of the day which happened to be orange. Really good ice cream. A neat little gem in white bear, if you're around it you should check it out :)

Great prices and great ice cream and food. I got the chicago dog with all the toppings and a mini donut sundae, they were both amazing, I highly recommend. This was my first time here but I have driven by this place a lot and always noticed a little line and I now see understand why (It's really good and cheap)

The best ice cream in the Twin Cities. I've been coming here for 30 plus years. The same charm remains which is pleasant in today's world. Always a nostalgic moment when I come back to visit from Arizona.

CLASSIC ICE CREAM, MALT, & SUNDAE SHOP!! Delicious twist cones with lots of flavors to choose from, fantastic malts/shakes and a variety of candy/toppings to mix in, and other great options like sundaes, dole whip, and more. This is a MUST TRY if you are ever in the Twin Cities (White Bear Lake) area and you love ice cream or sweet treats! They also have subs/hoagies, burgers, hot dogs, and along with a few sides to choose from. Those are solid but unspectacular options to eat if you are hungry and need something a little more to go with your ice cream. If you come during peak summer season, there can be lines since it is so popular! They normally have a lot of workers and work through the lines quickly. We have never had to wait too long, even with some longer lines, plus this place is definitely worth the wait. The pictures posted with this review were taken 9/6/2023.

I don't really like ice cream, and I very much don't like soft serve. I went here because my daughter thought it was awesome. We waited 40+ minutes in line at around 7:15pm on a Friday. I can't believe I waited that long for soft serve. I looked at it as an "experience" on a beautiful summer evening with hundreds or so of other people. I ordered a small cherry chip malt with hot fudge on top and sprinkles because if I'm going to eat ice cream, it's going to be worth it, and I like "crunchy" ice cream not baby food. I LOVED it. The combo of flavor with cherry chip and fudge was right up my alley. The sprinkles and "chips" of frozen cherry coating (that's how they make the chips), was just the childhood crunchiness I needed to enjoy soft serve. My daughter's butterscotch heath sundae was not as great as last time, but still good. Prices, I thought, are not bad. 5% discount for cash which makes it easy to leave the young, hard workers a tip. I was impressed they got our orders correct as I requested mine a certain way and they are just so busy! They were polite and prompt as well. I see they have some regular food offerings as well with sandwiches and a few other things. Sure, I'd do this again if in the area, and select it over something like DQ. Fun to either hang out there to eat it or walk through town or lake as well.

My favorite little ice cream shop in the world. I've been coming here 35+ years and have never been disappointed. Food and ice cream treats for a nice price.

A classic ice cream stop! Beware on hot evenings after dinner, the lines get LONG! But they seem to move relatively fast. Lots of options & fairly inexpensive.

Very good, creamy soft serve. The peanut brittle crunch dip is so good. The only disappointing thing is I couldn’t taste the cherry in the cherry dip. It was more like white chocolate with a bit of a fruity hint.

This place is a classic. I’ve loved it for as long as I can remember. I’m so happy that after loving it my entire life, I can finally bring my kids here, and they can love it just as much as me. If you’re in the area, stop by. You won’t regret it. If you’re not in the area, make a trip. Experience downtown White Bear Lake. You’ll fall in love.

Long line but the service is so fast. Had the pomagranet for whip and you get so much for an amazing price. Can't wait to go back and try the other flavors.

Two words.... Dole whip. I'm obsessed with their dole whip flavors, portions, prices, atmosphere, and the staff. Typically a line to wait but moves fairly quickly, service has always had a smile. The portions are huge and the prices are beyond fair! I love this place!

Great ice cream, lots of flavors and toppings. Great sandwiches at an affordable price! Line is long during the summer, but moves fast and is worth the wait

Local landmark. Open seasonally. Dairy free options available. The ice cream is obvious but the subs are large, better, and cheaper than Subway. Fairly cheap prices and good serving sizes otherwise. Rotating ice cream flavors and things like hot dogs are also available. Gets very busy some nights with a long line, hot weather on a weekend will send the line down the block. It's generally not too bad though. Can also get tubs of ice cream to go.

I work right down the road from these guys. I cannot tell you enough how great their service is and the food is fantastic. Simple, yet delicious. I highly recommend. Only sad part is you're not open during the winter! See you in the spring!

I’m so flippin’ happy Cup and Cone is serving Pineapple Dole whip in their rotation of dairy free options. My absolute favorite is a pineapple vanilla swirl in a cup (obviously not dairy free w the vanilla). I have only one simple wish - and that is for cup and cone to offer a “float” option just like the Dole Plantation in Hawaii, where they serve the swirl in a cup with pineapple juice. It’s to-die-for. Either way my family, friends, and I absolutely love this place.

Weird complaint, they give way too much ice cream. Impossible to eat without getting absolutely covered in melted ice cream. My cup had about 6 inches of ice cream overflowing. Had to inhale so quickly to prevent getting covered can barely remember what it tasted like. Again , first world problems I guess.
