Old Town Manassas is Magical in December and Carmello's is so romantic. High end dining. Although our choice of wine was not in stock, our server was quick to offer a similar selection. The Calamari appetizer was delish. My meal was to have lobster and scallops, but, salmon was substituted without telling me. Honestly, I didn't care because it was romantic and lovely. Perfect atmosphere for romantic dates, special anniversaries and rehearsal dinners.

Took my wife here for our anniversary and the service was top notch. They gave us complimentary wine and dessert which we truly appreciated. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a great and special experience. One of the best restaurants in Old Town Manassas!

Food was all very good: bread, salad, soup, fish. I don’t like truffle oil, so the server accommodated by offering an alternate salad dressing. The blue cheese dressing was delicious but at the same time let the other ingredients come forward. The soup was served in an unusually large bowl with high sides. It was a little awkward to work around its edges. I will definitely return here for any special occasion in the future. The Portuguese red wine (Quinta de Chocopalha) was a nice accompaniment.

This is a very nice restaurant to take your date for a classy romantic dinner. The menu is diverse, with a Mediterranean theme. You're not going to find "American Italian" cuisine like spaghetti and meatball here! I had the short ribs which were fork tender and delicious! The portions were generous which I liked. They have a nice wine list. If you're looking for a high class diving experience, do visit this place!

This is a top shelf place to eat! If you like quality and are willing to pay for it, you will find it here! Everything in this establishment is first class! The food, the people and the decor! Leave the kids at home please! This is a great place for special occasions. If you get on their mailing list they will send you a really birthday offer! Alice is the owner and she is an amazing lady! My husband and I went here last night for our first date night in months and had a spectacular time! Our waiter, Stephen/Steven, was friendly and fast with service, and the food was delicious. My husband rarely finishes his appetizers and finished his entire bowl of soup (bisque de camarao)! I got the beet salad and vegetarian lasagna and thoroughly enjoyed both. We "split" a crème brûlée (he had a bite) for dessert. We had a great time and would love to go back for future romantic outings!

I see good views for this restaurant, but our experience was disappointing. My husband has his birthday and we went there to have dinner. We had to wait for a server to come and seat us, but for some reason he wasn’t around for a quite long time. When we sat, it took them like 20 minutes to just bring us bread, they brought it ONLY after we reminded them about it. Then, they also didn’t mention anywhere that Oysters will have bacon in them, which was bad as my husband can’t have bacon (also, oysters were too salty.) In the end, even though we said that my husband has his birthday he didn’t get any treats (which we can’t expect, but it could be a very cool and pleasant thing to have). After all, it ruined our evening because the waiter was very slow to do anything, the communication was poor, and the service was just not good. Food wasn’t to my taste neither, a very low level for the prices they have. I wouldn’t recommend anyone and wouldn’t come back there myself

We hosted a wedding rehearsal dinner for 28 at Carmelo's and it was a seamless and wonderful experience. The folks there gave great advice on food and wine choices and set-up, the space was warm and intimate, the dinner was delicious, and the service was exceptional. We had some unexpected toasts, and the staff was careful not to interrupt the flow, but also kept us on track. Communication all along was superb, there were no surprises, and it was a delightful evening all around. Many thanks to everyone who made our evening so memorable!

We have nothing but AMAZING things to say about Carmello’s, chosen as one of 4 top Restaurants in Prince William county! We were thrilled to host a private client event for almost 90 guests at the restaurant which involved a lot of planning and staff to make it go smoothly. This was our 8th annual VIP Winter White Party so needed to be perfect. We started the planning process months before the event and Stephen remained in regular contact with us to ensure everything was planned to a T. They were very accommodating and helped us pick a fantastic menu. The night of the event, Stephen, Nick, Brian, Melissa and the entire staff were extremely kind and professional with our guests. The food was amazing, especially the salmon! All of our guests had rave reviews for the food and the service. The whole experience was an absolute pleasure. Whether you’re planning an event or just thinking of going here for dinner, you will not be disappointed!!

My significant other and I have been dining at Carmello’s for a very long time. Yesterday I made dinner reservations for 7:00 and mentioned it was her birthday. The service is usually top notch at this establishment, but for some reason, last night it was terrible. I ordered the veiras and it was great. My parter ordered the special, bacon wrapped filet mignon, asparagus and potatoes (the server told us it was with mashed potatoes, and they were whole boiled red potato’s) The temperature she requested was medium. When our food came out, after what seemed like a longer than usual wait (could be because they were busy, that’s understandable). Our food comes out and my SO cut into her steak, it was very well done. We let the server know, and they apologized and took it back to make her a new one at the right temperature. This took another 30 minutes of which I had to wait to eat my food until she got hers, so I had mine pretty cold. The taste was still good, but this was a major inconvenience. To top things off, our water was not refilled one time our entire meal, other than by someone other than our server, right before we walked out the door. My SO’s martini glass sat on the table and empty for our entire stay, our bread basket sat on the table the whole time, as well as soiled appetizer plates. The manager on duty came and apologized for the steak and brought it out himself, then I had to track him down to relay once again that it was my SO’s birthday because apparently nobody was told. He offered us a free dessert for the inconvenience. I have to say, this is one of the absolute worst experiences as far as service goes when we’ve been out for a meal I think I’ve ever had. This is a fine dining restaurant, which is reflected in the price of the food, but last night it wasn’t reflected in the service whatsoever. This was a huge heartbreak for me, because it ruined what was supposed to be a special night for her. After years of coming here, it was a huge letdown to have this experience at what was one of our favorite restaurants. I hope someone sees this and addresses it so the establishment doesn’t lose loyal diners like us. I never write reviews, but this is something I felt I needed to let others know. I have attached photos of the empty martini glass, as well as the empty water glass that you can see we moved from the back of the table to the front, and still weren’t offered more water until we had our food boxes up and check on its way.
