😠 What a shame, LA county parks! The only free hours are 12:30-2:00, and only 3 days MWF. Basically it's less that 5hrs a week (so for the summer 2022 it will open for less than 60hrs in total!), with a capacity just 37 person. And that's for the area with more than 100k people with thousands and th... People often mention kids,

And that's for the area with more than 100k people with thousands and thousands kids. The county is definitely going down, and so sad that Arcadia just following it. Yes, Arcadia's schools are great but when you do nothing for kids when they not in schools it's really concerning. So, if you're planning to visit it during 2022, come early, stand in line and hope that you will get in before it reaches the capacity...

2022 summer, they have greatly limited their hours without updating their website. (Open swim now only MWF 1:00-3:00. They seem pretty unapologetic as they shift to becoming a private aquatics center. Why have a shallow kids splash zone taunting kids across from the Arcadia playground if you restrict access so drastically? Used to be a great public amenity, despite the overly enthusiastic lifeguards and minimalist packing list. It would be worth appealing to the Arcadia City Council. I'm sure public taxes pay for it, so why not make it available to the public? Why not put fences around Arcadia park and charge admission?

Does anybody know the hours here? It says open until 6:30pm on google but upon actual visitation it’s abandoned. The pools looks to be in good shape so it must be used at some point? But there’s no listed hours anywhere on the building and the phone number isn’t answered?

Meh. Hard to complain about a free pool, but the staff are rude, and the rules are draconian. You aren't allowed to sit and watch your kids swim (you have to sit outside the wrought-iron bars and look in from outside), and you're not even allowed to bring a towel out onto the deck. I'd rather pay for a friendlier environment.

Norman Johnson pool will be closed again until summer 2023. There are no reasons given for this. As a tax payer for LA county, I would like find out the reasoning behind this closure

Attention parents! : Splash pad will be open starting on June 20, and then only. Open on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. Save this! ^^^ Myself like the 50 other people I watched yank of the door to just see it closed. The signs aren't helpful here. More confusing that anything.

Nice, big, and clean aquatic center. Was a little hard to find. My husband and I parked our car at a parking lot near the golf course place and follow children wearing swimming suits to the aquatic center. It wasn't crowded like other public swimming pools because it is a big place to hold a lot of people. We actually have space to swim laps and not much bumping into other swimmers. Staff were nice and helpful. Also super nice of Norman Johnson Aquatic for giving the public free recreational swimming on the weekend till 5pm. No other city pools provide free recreational swimming.

Horrible hours and impossible to use their splash pad if classes are occurring.

This is a great pool, my kids loved it. The lifeguards are very helpful and very dedicated to everyone's safety. I truly appreciate all you do so that the kids can have somewhere to swim in the summer heat. Also a great big thank you to Lupe at belongings counter. She is such a joy to see each time, she really makes you feel at home. Great place all the way around!
