Have enjoyed living here for over three years! Melvin at the office always has a welcoming smile and is always available to help with any issues we may have! Our dog loves stopping by the office to see Melvin and staff to get a treat!

I’ve lived at Riva, 1410 5th Street for over a year and a half. The experience from the first day has been amazing. The People The staff in the leasing office are really nice, genuine people and always want to help. Special mention has to go to Mel - the guy is a legend and genuinely goes above and beyond for Riva’s residents (Riva management take note!). The maintenance guys too - so nice and professional. Post a maintenance request and more often than not it’s done that day. The Building Clean modern apartment building in down town Santa Monica. The units themselves are the same. No complaints. Everything works. The Amenities Rooftop lounge area to work remotely / sunbathe is fantastic and has sea views. Nice BBQ area on floor 3 is always clean and a nice place to hang out with friends. Gym is perfect for cardio and strength workouts. Could do with a squat rack, bench and heavier weights but overall it’s great. Underground car parking with Tesla EV wall chargers installed. Never had an issue. Puppy Park on floor 5 is one of the best I’ve seen. Key if you’ll be living with a four legged friend. If you’re looking to move to SM, I toured all the complexes near DT and can safely say Riva has the best all round package at a compatible price.

Just rented an apartment here for my father. Melvin at the Leasing office was personable, authentic, and relatable... and, amazingly efficient! He helped us find our dream home, and was patient and worked closely with us through the entire application process, answering his phone 24/7 and answering all questions honestly, accurately and thoroughly. The whole experience felt easy and righteous. Best apartment experience of my life so far.

I've lived in Riva for 3+ years now and love it. It's gotten even better ever since Melvin came on board - things run cleanly and more efficiently than ever. I rarely have any issues, but when I do they get resolved promptly. It's a great location and the new amenities have really taken the complex to the next level.

I’ve lived at Riva for a few months and have had a great experience, more specifically with the leasing staff (Melvin in particular). I was new to California and he made every process smooth and cares about the residents in the building, tending to every need we have always having a great attitude and smile. I can’t say enough good things!

My husband and I just moved into Riva apartments and I cannot begin to tell you how amazing Melvin has been. First of all we thought he was the manager because of how professional and courteous he is and how he went above and beyond on his professionalism and enthusiasm. Having worked in the service industry working with millionaires and billionaires I know service when I see it. From the minute we met him we knew we wanted to move into the building knowing he was there for us and he has proven it time and time again. Any company would die to have an employee and a human like him. I only hope he is as appreciated by his company as we appreciate him. Janna and Francesco

From the start my experience has been fantastic with Riva! I had to last minute change my viewing of the apartment and Melvin at the front desk was extremely friendly and accommodating. Since moving in, they have added a gym, opened up a rooftop and an additional outdoor area with full grill and fireplace. Maintenance requests are fulfilled right away and any time I need anything, I can walk right into the main office and am assisted with anything I need (mail, new key, etc). The location is also ideal for downtown Santa Monica and there is an underground garage so no hassle with parking. Would highly recommend!

I’ve lived here for 6 months now and it’s been spectacular. The location is epic and easily the best part of the building—like 4 blocks from the beach and in the dead middle of all the best things in SM. I never use my car anymore and walk literally everywhere. The units (and ESPECIALLY the bathrooms/bathtubs) are really spacious and beautiful given the location and price. Management is top tier, super kind and friendly, and takes care of absolutely everything. Common areas are spectacular: there’s a rooftop with a fire pit, daybeds, and a beach view, and another floor with couches and grills. The building is super clean and well maintained. Maintenance handles all issues really quickly. Super safe and secure. The fitness center is two floors and is bigger/nicer than a lot of gyms in buildings this size. This is probably my favorite place that I’ve ever lived. I’d genuinely tell all my friends to move in here. If I had to name some cons I’d say the area in general is pretty noisy so I wouldn’t come to this part of SM if you want a very serene and quiet neighborhood (I like urban areas so this doesn’t bother me at all). And also, the common areas close pretty early (at like 11?) which is kind of a bummer, but also, who cares. Overall WIN!
