This complex is unsafe for anything other than roaches to live in. There is mold and the management refuses to fix anything properly. They smeared silicone caulking over the mold instead of getting to the source and doing proper remediation. In addition to that the kick board under the cabinets is rotted and they tried to hide it under paint. The patio above us is rotted and falling apart. Another issue they’ve ignored for months since move-in. The drawers in the kitchen are all off the rails and leave debris from the friction all over. We called the city and they sent them a notice of violations where they gave us 24 hour notice to fix the issues and again, used silicone to cover the mold. This property is garbage and they treat their residents like they’re a burden for wanting to have habitable conditions. There are roaches and brown widows all over the property. The garbage is constantly piled high and stinks like crazy. Someone hit the parking cover and they never bothered to fix it either. There are serious structural issues all over the property. They also talk trash about residents for asking them to fix things. Mauricio told me that the company would pay to fix some of the small problems they did come to fix but we might have to pay next time. He made it feel like we were responsible for THEIR lack of maintenance. He was also the one that was talking trash to the leasing agent Karina. Asking if we were stupid or what because we wanted it documented that we didn’t cause the damage and wanted it fixed. They falsely closed work orders without doing the work and we got tired of it so we decided to leave as we are entitled to according to California Civil Code 1941.1 and California Civil Code 1942. The property manager refused to let us leave, wrote an email gaslighting us, and fraudulently forced us to sign a lease break or have our record affected. We contacted a lawyer and sent them a letter stating that what they were doing is highly illegal but they ignored that letter as well. We have no choice but to escalate further with the matter because of their lack of management at this property. Besides our personal issues with our apartment, the landscaping is not done well. The property manager fired the old company and hired family to do the job. Karina is also the cousin of the property manager. The nepotism at this property is running it into the ground and they refuse to take care of the good employees they have. Fun fact, USAA is an investor of the property company so I wonder how they’d feel to know their money is being used poorly to create uninhabitable living conditions for their residents. Especially with how many veterans live on the property. I’ll be contacting them as well so they know what’s happening with their money.

Do not rent here mold and mildew ask around and infested with roaches even the remodel unit feel like lipstick on a pig but drawers swelled with water can not open and close them, trash outside stinks a lot, the manager cousin Karina needs to calm her attitude she talks about her lips filler looking janky. Need professional staff not related family it unprofessional and unethical

I’m disappointed with the maintenance performance at my apartment complex. They consistently order parts that arrive late, and worse, they’re not truthful about the expected delivery times. What’s even more frustrating is that they seem to fix only what’s already broken, ignoring issues that are about to become problems. This lack of proactive maintenance is a major concern for residents

We moved in last September so been here 15 months. Overall, we’ve had a great experience. I love the updates they added - the new dog washing room (amazing!!!), they redid the dog park, and the sports court center. It’s awesome that you can reserve one of the pool for when family or friends visit. The complex always seems pretty well kept. We appreciated how dog friendly the complex is since moving with pets can be stressful. The people we’ve met at the complex have all been super friendly. We’ve also never had any issues with maintenance. I felt every time we had a request, they were pretty quick and got the job done (but we never had any major requests so that may be different). The units also have a washer and dryer in the units. Some of the other apartment complexes we looked at didn’t. And I love that the apartment complex provides fun little opportunities for the community members. I did want to give Colleen a shoutout because she’s always so helpful/friendly! I also want to share some cons since it’s hard to find an apartment complex that’s 100% perfect. The biggest con is that the walls are pretty thin so we can often hear our neighbors talking or their music playing. Luckily our neighbors have been pretty respectful so it hasn’t been an issue late at night. Another con is that even though our unit was pretty cute, we did notice some of the previous remodel was cheaply or quickly done (not a big deal but wanted to share in case that’s important for someone looking). And lastly, I wish the wood boards on the patio were closer together. Sometimes watering my plants or sweeping the patio is stressful since it’s hard to avoid debris from falling into the bottom unit. Overall, we had a great experience and glad we found it when we moved to the area. I can update my review to include our move out experience since I did t read some of the other reviews.

Don't waste your time. I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone as the management at this location is terrible, unresponsive and unhelpful. The application process was abysmal. The organization of the office is nonexistent; as soon as you walk into their office there is a clutter of documents scattered throughout. I can only imagine how they manage general issues brought by their tenants. During the walkthrough of their model apartment I noticed critters and even a lizard inside the master bedroom. The bathroom sink and toilet were filthy and grimy. Overall, my experience with this complex has been negative. The follow-up was unprofessional and infuriating to say the least.

My husband and I have lived here for almost a decade. We would not stay here if it was a bad place. Does the community have opportunities? Yes. Do all apartment complexs' have opportunities? Yes. Do they try to fix issues or things if brought to their attention? Yes. I have seen a lot of negativity in comments but I have come to realize that majority of people tend to complain or put negativity out in the world, I would rather put the positivity out there and that is what you will get from this review. If curious, you can read my review from many years back- still a positive review. I love the improvements to the pet park (dog wash room installed, which is above and beyond ANY other apartment complex I have ever seen) and to the tennis court/activity center. This is a great area that is centrally located for everything. Parking could be better, but that is going to be an issue at any apartment complex- I just feel more could be made up front in the grassy area. Overall, this complex has a lot to offer and is nice to have this features on site. Lastly, I would like to give a shoutout to someone that works in the office, Colleen. Colleen is an amazing person and she always takes care of not only our needs but truly cares about the needs of all the residents. This place would not be the same without her and I can't imagine what she does day in and day out. What you do for the complex does not go unnoticed.

I have lived here at the Bel Aire for 10 years now I have seen more than a few managers come and go Although the latest Management got off to a very rocky start here, and had many issues, i was in the office almost every other day to point out problems that weren’t being taken care of But since last year I have to be honest and give credit where credit is due. They have finally turned this place around, they’ve gotten rid of the riffraffy people. everything is clean the common ways are kept clean. Landscaping and back on track 🌿 Trash and parking are now under good control I now appreciate coming home every day. My neighbors are great. It’s a clean community. Special thanks to Colleen in the office! And Ivy my man for always looking out and taking care of things! She has put up with alot from me over the years when it comes to the community policing But she always handles her business! And addresses my complaints ☺️ No place is always perfect but they do try very hard to accommodate the tenants 👍

I’ve lived here for almost two years and the recent remodels on the community amenities have made a big difference! The staff is very professional and always helpful when there are any issues or anything needs to be fixed. I am very comfortable living here with my husband, kids and our dog.
