This place always had great food, and it continues to. I really like starting out with a salad or hummus. The chicken kabob is some of the most tender I've ever had. Parking is not too bad. They remodeled the store recently, it looks nice. For some of the best Middle Eastern food you can get I highly recommend this place!

Mmmm mmm mmm ... Carnival Restaurant is a great Mideastern restaurant in Sherman Oaks, Ca. Hubby loves him some shawarma, and he is always looking for restaurants. He came across Carnival, and we made our way to the valley. Carnival is located towards the back of the shopping center with a huge sign you cannot miss! We entered the restaurant and were seated right away. We ordered our drinks and started with humos. We were given a basket of warm pita bread and a plate of olives, peppers, and pickled turnips. The pita bread was warm and soft and was so good. The humos tasted very authentic and were very delicious. For my daughter to actually like it you know, it was good! For our main meals, we ordered a Beef kabob plate with rice and fries, beef and lamb shawarma with rice and Arabic salad, and a carnival combination plate which included a chicken and lamb kabob and kafta with rice and an Arabic salad. Our salads came out first, and even those were so good! They tasted fresh and were just perfect. Our meals were terrific! The shawarma and the kabobs were very tasty with great flavor. The service was stellar, for we never had to wait around for things and the servers were friendly. The restaurant itself was spacious and decent. The restroom was clean and tidy. Overall, my family and I enjoyed our visit and left very satisfied and full. I’m glad we made the drive and tried Carnival. It was definitely worth it!

If you're looking for a tasteless food, then it's the right place unfortunately! Since when chicken Shawarma comes with tahini sauce!!!!! Since when Fattoush is only cucumber, tomato, and radish???!! If you're craving for a Lebanese authentic taste, like I was today, just don't go there

WOW! I thought I had positive dining experiences before. But THIS PLACE takes the cake. I walk in and I’m parched (classic me), so I order water. In a matter of seconds I had a full glass of piping cold water, I downed it in seconds even though it was a HUGE portion (thank god). 10 out of 10. Special shout out to my server, forget his name, maybe Darniel? Folks, check this place out!!!!!

I’ve been eating here for years and years. It’s consistently good—I mean every time. The chicken kebab isn’t the best around, but the Lebanese appetizers can’t be beat. The chicken kebab sandwich is excellent as is the lentil soup. You’ll here a lot of languages being spoken here and that’s a great sign of its appeal.

An escape from pretentiousness and hype. This place has a soul. Good Lebanese food with a simple atmosphere of a neighborhood joint. Apparently it has been there for ages. The owner comes to each table to greet newcomers and hug kids. Saturday night was very busy and we ended up waiting for an hour before getting a table. Well worth it.

The restaurant offers exceptional food and services, creating a welcoming ambiance that makes you feel at home from the moment you step inside until the moment you depart. Make sure not to overlook the must-try dishes like the falafel, tabula, and hummus during your visit.

This food is amazing. The tabbouleh might be the best I’ve had. The hummus is smooth and fresh. The chicken skewers were super moist and perfectly cooked. Grape leaves had a great lemon flavor. One of the best Lebanese spots I’ve had in LA. The server was a bit brusk but did her job. The ambiance is simple but clean and who cares when the food is that good!!! There were two of us- we spent 65 total and went home with a full meal of leftovers.

My parents have been going here for years and I love to visit when I'm in town for my Lebanese fix! We ordered hummus, tabouli, combination plate with rice and fries and a chicken thigh plate. The only low we're the fries. They did not have much flavor and the portion size was huge! I think next time I'll get the rice and salad. The ground beef/lamb kabob had the most flavor and was my favorite. The beef/lamb chunks were alright. They could have been more tender. The chicken was good. Service was a bit slow when we went and it wasn't busy.

One of the best places for Mediterranean food. Their humus and felafel are the some of the best ones you can find locally June 2023 Went here again after a few years. Food is still great but I must say that the wait staff were nothing to write home about.

Eaten here maybe a dozen times. The reviews don't lie, excellent authentic delicious Lebanese food! The Tabbouleh is the best I've had in a restaurant, very close to the way my aunties make it (labor intensive but worth it!). Ingredients are clearly fresh and high quality. There is an incredible selection of Mediterranean spots in the valley and Carnival stands above the rest!!

I am Lebanese and find most Lebanese restaurants in LA to be a hybrid of Lebanese and Armenian food (which is fine and also delicious) but sometimes I just want traditional Lebanese food. Carnival is IT! So fresh, so clean, the dishes are prepared with the freshest ingredients, you can always tell from the tabbouli ;) WHICH WAS AMAZING. I barely let my dinner companions have any. The falafel is crispy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. Hummus, Arabic salad, pita, all staples, all incredible. You really can’t go wrong with anything and I cannot wait to go back. This will most assuredly become a regular place for me to get AUTHENTIC Lebanese food!!!!

I had a wonderful dining experience at the Carnival restaurant in Los Angeles. Despite being bustling with diners, the service was prompt and excellent. The food was the star of the show – each dish bursting with tantalizing flavors. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a superb meal in a lively atmosphere.

Fast, high quality, healthy, affordable (McDonald’s combo cost just as much now a days) I tried the chicken shawarma sliders since I’ve never heard of this combo (usually in a pita) and it was even better than I thought. Definitely coming back.

Great food, but really slow service. We did the carnival combination with chicken, lamb, and kofta kebab, plus a fatoush salad. Vegetables in the salads were fresh and delicious, and the meat was tender and flavorful. We liked the kofta more than the lamb, which was a surprise because usually I like lamb kebab more than kofta. So the food was 100% worth it… But we were truly underwhelmed by the service. It took us nearly 30 minutes just to get the check, and they weren’t particularly friendly. Even after asking our waiter directly for the check, it took about 10-15 minutes to actually get it. So, this is with a trip, but come ready for this to be a 1.5-2 hour experience.

Amazing family oriented and family friendly restaurant with everything one can hope for in a Mediterranean restaurant. Food is fresh and fast. The owner seems to know and welcome everyone too! Good food, good service at a reasonable cost! What more do you want ?

Host was super friendly and treated us like family. Service was great, fast and good was fabulous. Can't wait to return. We all shared appetizer later, chicken kabob and shawarma. Delicious, everything was simply divine. Even had dessert that was worth every calorie. Great job.

Delicious!! Wow, I decided to try this place since I was thinking about having a small dinner party, so happy I did. The food is amazing, the service is superior and extremely clean. Giant sautéed shrimp and Salmon my overall favorite. Oh an the best baklava in the Valley. Try it, you won’t be disappointed. 😋
