Wow! This little restaurant tucked away in a strip mall is a paradise for Peruvian/Japanese food, and will become a frequent haunt on my trips to South Bay. Intimate, clean, prompt, friendly, and helpful all describe the atmosphere and service. Fresh, vibrant, balanced, and innovative describe the flavors of the dishes we tried. If you're looking for a quick date night place, or a fast lunch, I'd highly recommend Kotosh. The only caveat I'd add, is to bring a light jacket. The dining room was likely in the mid 60s, so a little bit brisk for dining, but that doesn't warrant not visiting, nor my subtracting a star from my review, because everything else was THAT good..

A mix between Japanese and Peruvian food… definitely something new but overall amazing! Their sushi was firm and very tasty; I got The Krunch (8pc) and Acebichado roll (8pc). I also got the Tallarin Verde with Chicken Katsu; the pasta had a creamy pesto sauce. So delicious! The service was professional and they were all so kind.

Unique restaurant in the South Bay that offers Peruvian & Japanese food. In my opinion, it's less of a fusion and more of a place that just serves two types of food. Their Japanese food seems to just be American rolls. The taste was good, but nothing special. The service is friendly and fast. They sit in a plaza so there's free parking, although spaces can be somewhat limited. Prepare to pay $30-50 per person. Worth checking out.

One of the best restaurants I’ve tried so far. Decided to eat my country’s food today, I was in the mood!! If you’ve never tried Peruvian food, start here fs! I just wish that they can put Peruvian or Japanese ambient music because it would match the vibes more. The service is very nice. Big restaurant and it’s very comfortable. Large portions of food for sure. The papa alawan cayina was SOO GOOD. The avocado sushi rolls are amazing as well. I got tallarin saltado, OMGGGG IT WAS SO GOOD I SO RECOMMEND THIS PLACE U GOTTA TRY IT

Great experience at Kotosh. I had the chance to visit Kotosh back in 2017 and was unimpressed my first visit. 5 years later, I decided to visit this location again and I was very impressed upon arrival. The overall ambience and environment has completely changed. The staffing is amazing and they were attentive and friendly. Once my party and I were seated, we were served promptly and were given great suggestions on what food to get. I am usually a hard critic when it comes to fish quality, however Kotosh passes the fish test. The quality of fish is great at this location and I am very impressed with their ability to make delicious rolls. Being a peruvian and japanese hybrid restaurant, I was skeptical at first on the quality of food. I was able to get their green spaghetti and chicken katsu meal. It was a very delicious meal and I highly recommend it. Would definitely come back to Kotosh especially after this previous visit.

This place did not disappoint. I had this in my to do list for several years. Was in the neighborhood and the wife saids hey isn't this in your list? Heck ya it is! Fantastic sea food soup, had random rice bits in it so it felt like leftovers... Super tasty leftovers I have to say! Will order again! Had some sashimi, had a fried seafood platter. Even orders a sushi roll! OMG everything was very tasty! I wish this place was closer to my work, as I'll be there every chance I get! Kotosh gets my recommendation that's for sure!

My first visit was not the best. I had their Chauffa de pollo and calamari and it was not as good as other Peruvian spots. Second visit was waaay better. Got the tallarin, plantains, crunch roll, yellowtail sashimi, flan, lucuma ice cream. It was definitely a better choices of food to order. I recommend the tallarin and lucuma ice cream from them.

The food was nice and tasty, they also have Japanese food such as sushi and other seafood items. Me and my friend was told the owner grow up in Peru but spent quite a bit of time is an Asian country. Any way the food is lit 🔥 if you know about good food go here.

I have never tried Peruvian food before. But little did I know, my favorite food ceviche was actually a PERIVUAN FOOD?!?!?! Kotosh’s ceviche was the best I have ever had so far. In fact, my only excuse for not taking any pic of food in this place was due to TASTING SO GODD*MN GOOD. I’m returning this place. Definitely. Again. And again. And AGAIN!!!

Hi I'm a master chef in French , Italian and Japanese.. I was having so many compliments about this restaurant so I gave it a try.. Usually I'm starting with oshinko - assorted pickled veggies...but they didn't have so I've ordered sashimi... Look at that sad plating and the fish.. They are using sushi cut instead of sashmi cut. Yes. Game is over. Just paid it and walked out... also their servers are super rude and ignorant also language barrier.... Definitely no go place in Torrance area...

THE GREEN SAUCE! I am torn because the food itself is incredible... But then additionally so is the sauce. I don't know what they put in it - probably not crack, but it's amazing and it accompanies virtually everything!

We have been coming here for years it’s probably the only place that has not changed in this shopping center… the location is kind of hidden but the food there is good and the servers are the BEST, they are so accommodating!!!!! You will see they have some combos and if I am in the mood for a different side instead of white rice with my favorite chicken Saltado they will put whatever I ask for. They can mix and match for me I love them so much! The saltado is my go to. I don’t really get sushi there but I see a lot of people getting it and they say it’s always fresh :) I do love the ceviche it’s a fusion ceviche not your normal ceviche… try it. 100 stars for their service! Look at the size of this fried beef cutlet it’s literally too big for the plate and hanging off and this is a normal dinner plate it’s HUGE!!!!! I asked for a side of fried rice with it this will last me 3 meals I have an air frier so I can refry and make it crisp again at home. This is really good with any of their spicy sauces but I am weird I like it with soy sauce. Lol
