Very fun and enjoyable walk. There are little boardwalk shops and restaurants. Not exactly like the Santa Monica Pier but in a good way as it is it's own thing with it's own personality. Mostly calm and relaxed not too over crowded when we went during the day. Lots of families and fisherman up on the pier or in the little marina there. Very nice and fun.

A good place to check out! It has a much quieter feel compared to Venice and Santa Monica but nonetheless it’s still a great place to checkout! We spent the afternoon there and had a delicious meal as well! Place is clean and have a lot of choices from restaurants, souvenir shops and many more!

Redondo is a beautiful neighborhood with a lovely pier and a lot of little seafood restaurants. The beach is clean and there are a lot of toilets provided. You can also find beach showers, some outside and in the middle there is one in a building. Parking is easily found in the nearby streets and they are free. Just watch for the signs when you shouldn't park in a specific place for street cleaning. This beach is worth a visit while visiting LA! Enjoy your stay!

Great pier with food and great views. There is a walkway that allows people to walk out and see the boats leaving the marina and heading out to sail and have fun. Views from the shore of the pier are good and there are some good food options on the pier itself. If you like to see wildlife then occasionally seals can be seen but more often pelicans hang out near people fishing from the edge of the pier. Good place to grab food and meet friends and Redondo beach is nearby which offers good boardwalks and beach areas.

Redondo Beach is a great place to go to whether your visiting or a local. Redondo has always been a lot calmer and relaxing than Venice and Santa Monica but still having the same great views of the ocean and the surrounding South Bay. Parking is hardly ever an issue and you can find plenty of free parking in the surrounding neighborhoods when it's not busy. The shopping area has plenty of great restaurants with Kalaveras probably being the best.

my newest favorite discovery in California! Lol As silly as that sounds , I don't hear many people mentioning how lovely this area is It reminds me of a nicer Santa Monica beach (nicer because Redondo has less tourists and the best part, very little to no homeless !!) I absolutely love how residential this area feels. Love the cute neighborhoods nearby the pier, walking and even driving through them is quite wonderful. The bike trail and beach walk are both beautifully landscaped, paved, and well taken care of. There are many public bathrooms available along the paths as well as lifeguard towers and friendly people. I did a 3 mile walk along the upper beach walk and came across many friendly people and dogs. The only thing I wished I had brought with me was better sun protection (hat and sunscreen) . I would highly recommend this beach/pier for a beach stroll, a place to walk the dog(s) or even just to get some vitamin d. I will be back to do the 44 mile bike ride from Redondo to Santa Monica :) stay tuned for photos! 🥰

Nice boardwalk with a lot of stores and variety of food, they have a nice bike path all around the area, views of boats and ocean. There is a walkway that extends over the ocean, boat rides available. Pretty good place for anybody really. I had a great time!

Nice place for a walk. Enjoying the view of the sunset, and plenty to see there. l Highly recommended for a getaway from it all. Stress free, and there's always another day to be thankful for being here. Stay blessed people.!

Haven't visited this location for 20 years. It's changed for the better. The beaches surrounding are accessible. Lots of food choices at the pier. I wish they could fill up the empty stalls. Food choices are varied, with Chinese fast food, Japanese French fusion, Mexican, churros (try the churro affogato), Korean, American restaurants. Boat rentals, whale watching trips, and a seafood market, a fantastic view of the Pacific makes for a great visit.

I absolutely loved this pier and beach. It was really clean and relaxing. There were so many cute shops and eateries. I intentionally came here to chase the sunset and the view here did not fail to impress. I highly recommend coming here for a stroll or dinner for the evening 😊

Lovely Pier. It’s clean, usually quiet, and uncrowded. You can grab tasty Tacos and Churros. The bike path is lovely, with beautiful water views. The Pier has plenty of parking.

Finally made it to the Redondo Beach Pier and would definitely recommend it for a weekend or even a weekday event with your partner or family. There was lots of fishing to watch or even bring a pole and partake in yourself. Which speaking the Quality Seafood Inc is a great place to pick up freshly caught eats or even get some to eat there. There are plenty of other restaurant options as well if seafood isn't your thing. Among the food, drinks & fishing...there was plenty of other things to do with the local (tourists style) shops, a skatepark, boat rides, street entertainers, some karaoke, nature to watch (saw some seals playing in the harbor by the boats), the beach right by the pier, it's also a great place to take your partner and watch the sunset! I'm already planning our next trip back soon!

We went came her at night and never been here in all our time’s coming out here to California. It’s a very a beautiful pier and wish we could’ve brought our kids here last month when we were here. The view to the south is just beautiful and the nice cool ocean breeze during the night is so nice though do bring a sweater. Will definitely bring my family here the next time we are here.

Really nice place to hangout and bring your out of town visitors! Tons of food places and a nice place to catch the sunrise or just hangout, grab food maybe. I came here on a Sunday evening and there were 3 bars playing live music.

Fun Fish Market has been permanently closed down, but owner has opened up the restaurant on the other side of the pier it's called Pier Seafood. This new restaurant has better views on one side of it you can actually see the ocean & on the other side you can watch people walk by. There's no TV or icecream shop inside the restaurant like the original one. It's much smaller, but allot more newer & cleaner especially the bathrooms there's even a sink near bathroom where you can just go wash your hands before & after eating those delicious shrimp fajitas??

Nice little pier. Not many of the stores were open. Beautiful sunset and nice strip of beach for hanging out. The pier itself waa clean and had a few places for food, tackle & bait and souvenirs. They had plently of parking and restrooms. Beautiful sunset from the beach or pier. Not much to see by way of shops so that was a little dissapointing. Nothing interactive or activities for kids to do. Nice bike path and good area for walking.

Nice to walk along the pier. Personally won't return because I don't like the salt and humidity. Great place for dates and small family outing. Food is not so good, many fried food. Price are way more than I would expect. Quality Seafood oysters are TINY but charging more than Lure Fish. Why?

Wonderful entertainment area for daytime or nighttime. A range of higher end restaurants to casual eateries and snack bars. Small retail clothing and souvenir shops. Quaint jewelry shop where you can open your mystery clam for a pearl! No more arcade but dedicated skateboard park where you can watch daredevil stunts. Designated fishing area. Nice shoreline views. Clean bathroom facilities. Underground parking for $2/hour. Enjoy a nice stroll here and get some fresh air!

I haven't been to Tony's since the 90's when I celebrated two New Years eve's with my good friend Kay. I returned New Years day by myself to toast the New Year and watch my wonderful passengers, the University of Michigan Wolverines win the Rose Bowl! The bartender was fabulous and I ordered crab cakes with Chardonnay while watching the first sunset of the New Year. I will definitely return!

Redondo Beach Pier is known for its scenic views, waterfront dining, and various recreational activities. which is in Los Angeles County, California. The pier offers stunning panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, making it a popular spot for tourists and locals alike. You'll find a variety of restaurants, cafes, and shops along the pier. It's a great place to enjoy fresh seafood or simply take a leisurely stroll. Fishing is a popular activity on the pier, and you can often see anglers trying their luck. You can also rent fishing equipment nearby. The pier hosts various events throughout the year, including live music performances, festivals, and art exhibitions. Water Sports: Redondo Beach Pier is a hub for water sports enthusiasts, with options like kayaking, paddleboarding, and swimming in the adjacent harbor area. The original Redondo Beach Pier was built in 1889, and while the current pier is a modern reconstruction, it still holds historical significance. Depending on the season, you may have the opportunity to go whale watching from the pier. California gray whales are often spotted during their migratory route

Exploring Rodando Beach Pier with my daughter and her friends was delightful. The evening walk had a charming atmosphere, and concluding the night with dinner at Old Tony's added a perfect touch to the experience. Highly recommend this scenic and enjoyable outing. There is also an excellent skateboard park located here.

Good, non pretentious California. Great fresh sea food, easy parking, lots of space to walk around and chill. Not fancy, a little scruffy, but has a certain vintage vibe and charm, if that's your thing. It is ours, so we will be back.

  • 4/5 Richard W. 1 year ago on Google
This is not like San Francisco's, but it is safer and friendlier for sure. It feels like your private beach in your own backyard. Small but accessible. We did see police arrest in action here, but I believe it is rare. The beach is facing the Pacific, which means it is facing west. So you get to see the sunset instead of sunrise and that is why most people are here. Families, couples and kids try to capture the beautiful sunset every day. The sea breeze and smell give you the Vitamin Sea you need. After that, you can have what you are missing from the local vendors and stores on the pier such as ice cream, pizza, hot dogs and sodas. This is a really good place for everyone to walk around here for the afternoon and evening. The parking is not as crazy as Manhattan Beach or Santa Monica. It is really a good urban escape for Torrance residents. What a lucky blessing. We will definitely come back again for the restaurants and the view here. We tried Kincaid's and have tried any of the restaurants here on the pier yet. I believe they should be good as well. Really a nice place to visit!

Coming here as a kid to an adult is just memorable and I love that you can pretty much find parking of course the earlier you come but it’s conveniently located and it’s nice to just sit on the benches and take in the breeze and the smell of the ocean air. It’s a great place to walk you’re dog or jog up and down the pathway leading to the sand. It’s always clean and never packed it’s just a great little drive and you’re there. My family is from the area and it’s always nice to revisit and always stop on by and park at Ave C and just enjoy all of Gods beautiful creation.

Great place to go & visit. Plenty of places to grab a bite & perfect for souvenirs.. I just wish it was 105degrees, like it was for the Stagecoach weekend.. it was chilly at about 80 w/wind off the water. Still overall a great day!

Our first trip to Redondo Beach left us really impressed. Excellent parking set up with easy payment options (they even text you before your time expires to see if you’d like to extend your time. All from your phone!) The pier had a lot of delicious food options and provided a nice break from the sand and water. If you wanted to get away from the crowds, you just had to walk a little farther and you’d end up next to volleyball nets where the crowd was minimal! I can’t wait to go back!

  • 3/5 Lim E. 1 year ago on Google
Good selection of food and beverages with a mix of local charms that ain’t pretentious. Good place to hang around to soak up the atmosphere and do some people watching. A few vantage points for photo opportunities but be aware of swooping seagulls.

I love Redondo beach. Obviously my first stop is at the seafood market. If you are a seafood person like me, you have to go. There are tons of things to do for a family day, for a surprise day, celebrating .. but I recommend avoiding Saturday and Sunday because is too crowded.

Great little pier with a great selection of international food and shops. Fresh fish is sold here as well. Definitely stop at the World Famous Churros shop for a delicious and warm $3.75 churro! It was pretty chilly and windy on the pier. Watch out for the seagulls trying to steal your food from your hand!
