could not have had a better experience really. I went to see a plastic surgeon for implant removal due to leakage of silicon in my lymph nodes. She referred me to a cancer specialist she trusted, and wanted her opinion on if it was safe to have the requested surgery done. I flew in from the Bay Area, and was able to be seen that afternoon, before my trip home. The doctor was extremely nice, very knowledgeable, explained things well, and put our minds to ease. I would highly recommend the Bedford Breast Center. All the staff were extremely nice and friendly. :)

Dr Memsic and the whole team are amazing, in my opinion and experience. I had no mesh hernia repair and at every part of the journey Dr Memsic and the team including Claudia, Catherine, Liana and Rebecca and everyone else there have exuded such great and unusual kindness and competence. Together they create a profoundly healing environment. Highly recommended. Dr Memsic is a jewel I’m so pleased I found.

The Bedford breast center team is staffed with the warmest, most competent health care practitioners I have experienced. They truly go out of their way to provide personalized and state of the art medicine. I really like Dr. Memsic! I drive 60 miles every year to get my mammogram and ultrasound done at Bedford Breast Center. Usually the wait is minimal, exams are quick and the best part is that doctor tells you results right away. People that work there are good too so it’s totally worth the trip for me.

Dr. Memsic is a dream come true. I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer and she was the 2nd doctor I met with. As soon as she walked into the room I knew she was the one. She is amazing in every way and saved my life. She is funny, cool, smart as hell and insanely talented. I trust her with every ounce and came out of surgery cancer free with no side effects of surgery. She is a game changer and cares SO much, always takes the time to listen and confidently gives you options and answers! I would give her 1 million stars if I could.

The Bedford Breast Center is amazing! They are so professional and caring. Everyone is great especially Dora Afrahim who was my ultrasound tech. She has been following me and taking care of me for a year now. She is patient and answers all my questions. She cares and comes ready. I don’t need to remind her which breast to look at she already knows my problem area and does her job thoroughly!

I had an amazing experience with Dr Richardson. She is a truly talented doctor that really cares about your health and your experience. I’ve been told by two other doctors that the only option I had is to get a surgery done, while Dr Richardson made it clear that she could remove it without a surgery in less than 15 min. And she really did it! That’s called MILR procedure. It was painless and scarless. So grateful!!! Big thanks to Natalie MA as well! Highly recommend this clinic. Their staff is amazing!

I was incredibly lucky to get connected with Dr. Leslie Memsic at Bedford Breast Center. Dr. Memsic’s competence and kindness made me feel so safe and supported during a challenging time in my life. I found out I had breast cancer in spring of 2023. After going to numerous doctors to discuss my case-- I was unsatisfied I had the answers to my concerns and I was still uncomfortable making my decisions on treatment. A friend of mine recommended Dr Leslie Memsic at Bedford Breast Center. Within the first hour consult every question I had was answered and all my concerns were eased-- I felt heard. I had made up my mind that Dr Memsic was my surgeon. She is refreshing. She is a strong, unique, passionate and doesn't follow a script. She speaks to YOU and speaks facts. If she doesn't have the facts, she gets them. She also listens and believes/ trusts her patients. The breast cancer journey is daunting. It changes you. There really isn't a simple way to express the numerous nuances emotional, physical and even logistical. DR Memsic and her whole team made the process much better. I had enough negative medical experiences prior to meeting them to compare it to and these women just stood out. I had a double mastectomy. For me that's what made sense. It's different for every woman. The surgery and both surgeons, Dr Memsic and DR Killeen (breast reconstruction) were fantastic. The recovery wasn't my best moment in life but honestly I feel this team made it better.

I also had a DTI mastectomy for those that are interested and qualify. It went well. I'm very pleased with the outcome. I'm very grateful for those that dedicate their lives to helping and healing. Anyone facing breast cancer owes it to themselves to get multiple opinions. I would highly recommend BBC and DR Memsic and DR Killeen as one of those opinions. If you are reading this review because you are newly diagnosed with cancer-- you will beat this, you are never alone and I promise you it does get better. There is a strong team to talk with at Bedford Breast Center. Remember follow your intuition and do not stop until you feel comfortable that your conversation and questions are satisfied--. You deserve nothing less.

i finally found the best place for mammogram/ultrasound. carmen and anna were wonderful. they understand that everyone is different and showed such sensitivity. thank goodness my brilliant dr sent me to bedford breast center. thank you for taking such great care of me. also the scheduling and communication with front desk was top notch.

Dr. Heather Richardson is an amazing doctor and surgeon! She has a wonderful caring disposition and a very calming nature. She is positive and confident in her approach to treating disease. Her way of explaining everything is respectful and informative. She uses exceptional techniques to conserve your appearance as she addresses your health concerns. Her office and surgical center is very patient friendly as well as all follow-up care. I highly recommend her and pray that she continues in her profession for many years!

Bedford Breast Center is a top notch, state of the art facility. I have had my mammograms done here for about 4 years and every visit is seamless. The staff is thoughtful and considerate. The women here do their very best to put your mind at ease at what can be, a stressful dr’s visit. One employee truly stands out though and that’s Carmen. She performs the scan and I can’t say enough wonderful things about this woman. She is caring, careful, thoughtful and just a terrific person. Hands down the best experience I’ve had with a mammogram, ultrasound! Carmen made me feel at ease right from the start. She is so great at her job and at same time making you feel safe. Dr Heather Richardson was wonderful right from the start, explaining the process throughout, and making me feel completely at ease during my visit. Both so knowledgeable and very kind!

Dr. Heather Richardson was the absolute best breast surgeon I could imagine. She was so caring and compassionate and went above and beyond for me as a cancer patient living out of state. We had Telehealth appointments leading up to surgery, and then she was just as warm and professional in person when I flew to California for pre-op and surgery. When the lymph node biopsy came back unfavorably, she did the right thing and took additional lymph nodes while I was on the surgery table, keeping me from needing future procedures and meticulously notating the areas removed so my oncologists could feel confident her margins were clear. She continues to keep up with me even weeks after the procedure. You will never find a more skilled and personable doctor. I thank God that I found Bedford Breast Center!!

I have been going to the Bedford Breast Center since January 2021. My gynecologist wanted me to get my first mammogram at 35 years old because my mom passed away from breast cancer in 2019 after her own 12 year battle. I have to say that from the beginning, Bedford Breast Center has completely welcomed me and has made me feel valued, seen and heard. I’ve never felt like just a number or that I am being treated as a routine visit without connection. This is always important whenever going somewhere but as anyone can understand, this has such a hypersensitive attachment to it because of my mom, and they know my history and they make sure that I’m coming in for my routine check ups because of her. Most recently I started getting my ultrasounds done by Dora Afrahim and that has taken it to another level of excellence. Dora totally shocked me when she had remembered something I told her a few months back regarding my health, but unrelated to my need to go in for ultrasounds. Even since then, she has still checked up on me. Overall, this center is above and beyond, and I would never want to go anywhere else now. I feel so fortunate that I am able to be seen at the Bedford Breast Center. Thank you so much for providing such excellent and compassionate care!

I went into Bedford breast center a while back and got genetic testing done. The whole process was so quick and easy. I recently went back and had an appointment with Dora the PA and she took the time to answer all my questions in depth. Overall love this office.

I went to Bedford Breast Center for my mammogram today. The Mammo Technologist Carmen was outstanding! She was very kind, professional and informative about the exam. I had a great experience and would recommend her to anyone. Terrific staff and facility all around.

"My mom (54) and I (24) decided to take a gene test at Bedford Breast Center because we want to know if we're at high risk for breast and ovarian cancer. My maternal grandmother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer when she was 57, my paternal aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer at 56, and other relatives have experienced other cancers and health issues. With our family's history, it's in our best interest to get tested so we know what to look out for and to take care of our health. I'm not going to lie, the thought of being BRCA positive is scary. I find myself overthinking about what would happen -- where do we go from there? This is why I'm so glad I came to Bedford Breast Center because Sarah, the Physician Associate, reassured my mom and me. No matter the outcome, we're in the best and safest hands at Bedford Breast Center. I hope our story inspires others to take get tested if you have a history of breast or ovarian cancer in your family. We don't know our results yet, but no matter what, we'll be okay. It's better to know early so we can take precautionary measures, if necessary."

The centre is very warm and welcoming which is so important as many women with breast cancer history including myself are always a little nervous. Dora made me feel like I was in very safe and excellent hands. She took the time to answer the many questions I asked and followed up from my last visit. It is comforting to know that she had looked at my chart before she proceeded with the ultrasound.

I had such a wonderful experience at the Bedford breast center this week. It was a very welcoming, and warm environment. I first had my mammogram with Carmen and it was seamless and painless followed by a ultrasound with Ru who made me feel very comfortable. Dora Afrahim, the physician assistant is also wonderful and caring. Dora always takes the time to reassure me and explain each step. I love that everyone at this facility is a woman. 10/10 experience, I plan to tell all my friends about this place!

Carmen was so friendly, comforting and gentle. She made me feel at ease about the mammogram and was so quick too! The staff was incredibly nice as well. I got an appt quickly which I really needed. I will definitely be coming here every year.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Memsic and her team at Bedford Breast Center! A breast cancer diagnosis is devastating to hear, but it is often made worse by the lack of empathy you face from your very first point of contact - your surgeon. That was my experience with the surgeon assigned for me through my insurance company. She was cold, dismissive and ignored my shock and tears when she offhandedly suggested a double mastectomy. I was determined to find better care. Luckily, I got in contact with a survivor who shared my frustration and highly recommended Bedford Breast Center. Since the first time I met Dr. Memsic, I felt that I was in the right hands. I was comforted, cared for and alighted by her and the entire center's team. Going through this surgery was scary and hard, but my pain (both physical and mental) was greatly minimized by the incredible care I got. I am forever grateful to have found this place. Words cannot encompass the grief and trauma it saved me. Thank you Dr. Memsic and The whole Bedford Breast Center team!!!

Dr Richardson is incredible. I don't think I could find could find a comparable level of care anywhere else. She is a world class surgeon, but she never reduces you to just your diagnosis. She delivers both bad and good news herself and helps you choose the best treatment options. All the support staff at Bedford Breast Center is also great.
