If there was a way to give negative stars, I would. It is a typical local pizzeria, EXCEPT - the owner is stuck-up, marginally racist towards people of color and EXTREMELY SARCASTICALLY RUDE. My friends and I (7 of us) stopped by here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We got there, fairly empty, we took a seat, decided to place our order. One of my friends went over and was listing the things we wanted to get, when the owner asked him to repeat cause he didn’t “understand” simple spoken english. We placed the order and waited. It had been around half an hour after which we got quite hungry - considering we were “stopping by” mid-trip for a “quick bite” , I went over to ask “How long would our food take?” (it was only three different pastas and a salad with onion rings)- a fair question considering everyone who came after us, got their orders , some even left. The person at the cash register responded with an arrogant “You see my guys are cooking” I asked again, “Can you please tel l me a general estimate as to how much time it might take?” WITH A SMILE. POLITELY. ASKING SINCE WE WERE HUNGRY. the guy responded with a very cocky “TWO DAYS OKAY? GO SIT” and pointed his finger at my table. We were all aghast. Very disappointing at how poorly they treated us since we were a group of 7 brown people, just chilling and trying to get our food and leave. If you aren’t tolerant of basic customer questions then don’t have a restaurant. if you aren’t tolerant of people of colour THEN WRITE AT THE ENTRANCE THAT YOU ARENT POLITE TO ANYONE OTHER THAN WHITE PEOPLE. We are in 2023 and it was horrible how they treated just our table quite rudely. The prices were high considering the quality and taste of food. JUST WONT RECOMMEND. I know the owner is going to respond rudely to this review as I have read some previous low reviews on Google for this place. But I HAD to write about it. The place has a newspaper article from many decades ago that read “this place serves kindness” or something - the irony has me cracking up.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. We called to order at 7:02. Ordered an appetizer special, and a pizza wirh all pepperoni, half ricotta and meatball. Didn’t think this would be that complicated. Well I guess it was since our pizza didn’t get delivered until 8:49!! We live 8 minutes from bennys… Ok so finally we get our food and it’s cold!! Had to microwave the appetizer and put pizza in the oven. Then, one of the mozerlla sticks didn’t have cheese in it!! Also, the pizza only had 2 slices of just pepperoni when the entire half was meant to. If you’re going to take almost 2 hours one would think the order would at least be correct! And at only 8 minutes from the store, why is it cold?! If I could give negative 5 stars I would. 0/10 will not go again.

This place has the best pizza. It has been the better part of a decade since I have had this wonderful pizza. I moved out of the area but this used to be a normal dinning spot for me. I was back visiting family and this place was on my bucket list. The pricing is good. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is friendly and efficient. Honestly when I ate here it was if nothing changed. I mean this in 100 percent positive way. What they have works and works well. You will not be disappointed if you are looking good pizza.

I ordered a Turkey sub. On their website, it says all subs come with lettuce, tomato, onions, and your choice of dressing. I ordered via phone and the kid didn’t sound like he was very smart. These kids that work there literally gave me only a Turkey sub. This was an almost $13 sub. Never even asked if I wanted anything additional. Seriously? Who orders only Turkey on bread???

Was a pleasant suprise ! Pizza was loaded with meats and was great. Had an antipast salad and my friends alsonhad salads. The quality was awesome, and the portions were huge! The tomatoes were freshly picked from their garden. I am looking forward to going there again in the future.

The pizza is alright. They overload the toppings so the cost is a bit higher than I would like to pay for pizza. It's a popular spot amongst the locals. Edit: I'm not bashing locals. I'm stating its a popular place. Ask anyone in town they will rave about your pizza place and how the toppings are overloaded

Not from the area, but here all the time for biking and climbing. This has become my food stop after. Always have many options for slices, and they still taste fresh after a minute in the oven. Usually has beer options, and other drinks you don't normally see at a pizza joint. Might have to try a grinder next time.

Wife and I went here a few weeks ago, I have to agree with another review. Pizza is ok but the staff does not treat you with respect. Asked for crushed red pepper and the girls started rolling eyes and making loud sighs. Can't even wrap my brain around how unprofessional this place is. Also did you see the response to one review?! I'm assuming it's the owner that responded to a costumer giving them one star..How unprofessional and rude. You are supposed to take reviews and learn from them and clearly from that response and what we experienced ourselves they do not take anything seriously and it's sad. Ooo I see I also got a sassy reply. Truly pathetic, the fact you had to come back this hard to a bad review tells and shows a lot about the "business" gave me a morning laugh.

Traveling through the area saw the outdoor seats, umbrella tables and rustic look and it caught our eye. Drove into a very convenient yet deceiving shopping center. The center has a Dunkin, grocery store, Walgreens. Found a spot right out front of Benny's lot and walked right in. Late on a Friday still had many choices for slices and a few caught our attention. The white with real sausage (not the cheaper stuff you often see). We grabbed a broccoli white and had to try the huge garlic knots. I dove into the Sausage and it was pretty damn incredible. Light crispy crust, but it held up the hearty toppings and stayed crispy. The white has garlic, ricotta and mozzarella. Delicious. I would call it a NY style pie. They did have a Sicilian slice that looks like a cross between Detroit and a grandma pie, almost grabbed that, but the white sausage was calling me. Next time I will try that. The garlic knots were lightly crisp on the top and puffy and chewy loaded with a buttery garlic (chunks of garlic) on top. Came with a dipping marinara sauce. When we arrived a super friendly lady made us feel so welcome and walked us through the whole display case of pizza. And was happy to do so. People working there seem to be happy and friendly. They also have some local or a regional brand of soda (pop maybe). The sugar cane cola was so different than the national brands it was such a treat. Would highly recommend Benny's I'm glad we stopped. BTW was going to go back for that Sicilian slice, but there was no way to fit that after those very hearty slices and the knots. Worth a visit!

Normally, I wouldn't have a complaint about Benny's. I mean sure, the prices are kinda high, but I enjoy the quality of the food. However... the fact that I just had to do an hour round trip to get a part of my meal that i ordered, and did not get compensation for the MAJOR i convenience, is pretty ridiculous. I ordered 3 items, only received 2 of them when I picked up my order. By the time I had made it home (30 minutes away), it was noticed that a part of my order was missing. When i called to question why i only received 2 of 3 parts to my order, I was told that I had to drive all the way back to pick up that missing part, and bring my receipt for proof of purchase! And then when I made it back there, it was "giggled" off like it wasn't a big deal... I'm sorry but last I checked, I paid for my full meal, did not receive my full meal, and then had the inconvenience of using MY FUEL and putting more wear and tear on MY VEHICLE, to go fix the problem they created. The least that could've been done is some form of compensation for the inconvenience. Hope this doesn't happen again or to anyone else...

I really like Benny's pizza. I work in Kingston and I live in Napanoch so I can call on the way home and it's ready just when I hit the halfway point. The only thing to keep in mind is the prices on Google are not accurate. So if you go by that it may be a little higher than you expect. The taste and freshness of ingredients made up for it. Their meat Supreme Is the best around and the staff is always friendly and fast.

Pizza is just okay (used to be better) and certainly not worth the $23+ price tag. *Another example of why we won't be going here anymore, the owner. Always hanging around with an attitude. Yes, this pizza has changed. And $21.75 + tax came to $23.49 so yeah, $23+ for a Pizza. Ridiculous. Maybe try not being rude.

Stopped in after seeing rave reviews on Facebook - not from the area so was curious to try. Pizza was delicious! Toppings so generous and the owner was such a nice man and very kind to include some samples to try ! My whole family thoroughly enjoyed! Definitely will be back when I am in the area!

Wanted to find something new after an away Field Hockey game. Definitely found the spot!! Walked into an amazing family atmosphere of warmness and positivity. The place smelt amazing and the food had generous portions for our main meals. Our two kids were picky eaters and were eating off our plates. From creamy Alfredo sauce with the chicken fettuccine Alfredo to the perfect blend of ricotta and mozzarella on the baked zita. The homemade garlic knots were huge and out of this world!!! We got a pie to go and it had a nice blend of sauce to cheese ratio with a crisp to the crust. Bonus slice of the Chicken bacon ranch on the way out can compare to no one!! Definitely worth the hour trip for us to be returning soon for more amazing food. Best eating experience of 2023 with a great outdoor seating setup that even has bands come play.

The pizza is the best in Ulster County, if not the entire state. I couldn't even get a picture of the pizzas before they were eaten up.

I haven’t been here in almost 8 years (moved out of the area) and let me tell you, the pizza is just as if not more delicious and amazing as ever. My kids finally got to experience their buffalo chicken specialty pizza for the first time after not believing me that they’d all be full after one slice (boy were they wrong) To top it all off you’re getting a premium pizza which I consider to be the best I’ve ever had,for the price of your typical runny, sloppy, greasy and cold pizza you get for the same price anywhere else around. Thank you for staying true Benny’s! We can’t wait until our next visit!

My lord! Let me tell you right now, hands down one of the absolute best pizza I’ve ever had! They had tomatoes and fresh herbs growing out front for their fresh in house made everything. Amazing! It’s also about 10 min from Awosting falls so you can catch beautiful hike and waterfalls and follow up with and amazing dinner 🤌🏻

Best fries ever! Buffalo Wings were average. Had to ask for extra buffalo sauce on the side because they were barely wet. Not great, but not bad. Service was friendly enough. Nothing stood out positively or negatively. I didn’t go in expecting much anyway. Clean restroom and dining area. Came in for a slice of pizza but the lamp in the warmer was turned off. The pizzas didn’t look too appetizing anyway so I just ordered from the menu. Didn’t plan on spending that much time in town, but I was hungry and didn’t want to wait on a whole pizza to be cooked so I ordered the 10 piece wings and fries. It was a good choice. Plenty food to split between two people. (Pictured is half the order as I split it with my husband). Enjoyed the selection of music from the music channel on the tv.

I love the atmosphere. The owner is very kind and even serves the customers whereas most pizza restaurants the owners never are that much involved. The food is excellent and absolutely love the glass bottles of refreshments. Every time I visit the area, this is my favorite pizza restaurant to go to! I highly recommend it!

Passing through town with my family after spending the day at a bday party. Had a meatball sub, wife had chicken parm sub, kids had slices. Everything was good, had a bit of a wait but place was busy and my wife works in food service and said sandwiches take time. All in all, good food, loved all the Yanks stuff as fellow fan. Nice dinner stop on our way back to Albany.

We stopped there for lunch and had a delicious veggie pizza. The atmosphere is very relaxed and causal, not a lot of indoor space for eating but we got a table. They have outdoor dining but it was too windy the day we were there. We had a good time talking to other customers and watching people passing through. Only negative was their restroom was out of service when we were there. The Stone Ridge areas is very nice, we will definitely stop in the next time we're in the area.

Best pizza shop I’ve ever been to!! I’m from michigan and the flavor here is above and bottoms. The attention to detail as well as craftsmanship with their food is not only genuine but authentic New York and extraordinary. Very friendly owner and staff!! Great eating experience, great prices, and phenomenal food and experience. I would recommend this place to anybody. Even worth the drive if you’re from out of town. Huge menu too. A taste for everybody! Stop by.

Every time I pass by Benny's I have to stop in for his pizza. He has the best homemade pizza sauce ever. It has the right amount of cheese and the crust is not too thick not too thin.

I lived in Stone Ridge 33 years ago and have returned to this area always with a feeling of home. Yesterday I bought a pizza and garlic knots at Benny’s and it hasn’t been my first time. Having lived in High Falls, New Paltz, Mount Vernon, Westchester County, my son and I know where to enjoy the atmosphere of an established New York visual and cuisine to meet the flavor of Italia. The Staff devotes their time for you to appreciate your choice at Benny’s Pizzeria. I am certain, should you decide to have an Italian delight, you will be sure to return. Enjoy.
