A
beautiful
church
now
in
use
as
a
Bistro
type
venue.
To
begin;
unless
you
know
that
it’s
there
you’d
quite
easily
miss
it,
more
signage
wouldn’t
go
amiss
to
attract
passing
trade,
and
to
confirm
that
it
is
actually
open
for
food
and
drinks
-
I
thought
that
I
was
walking
into
a
church,
which
is
of
course,
exactly
what
it
once
was.
So
look
out
for
a
big
church
in
Bacup
and
you’ll
find
it.
Once
inside
the
venue
you’ll
find
that
it
is
kitted
out
with
an
eclectic
array
of
furnishings,
fixtures,
and
fittings,
mixed
together
with
many
original
features.
After
you
find
your
table,
of
which
there
are
many,
you
place
your
order
at
the
counter,
the
staff
then
bring
the
order
to
your
table.
I
was
served
by
a
pleasant
young
lady
at
the
counter,
an
explanation
from
her
of
where
the
condiments
etc
were
wouldn’t
have
gone
amiss
though.
I
had
their
big
meaty
breakfast
with
‘cold
baked
beans’
I’m
sure
that
they
weren’t
supposed
to
be
cold,
but
they
were!
Had
I
been
asked,
I
would’ve
mentioned
this
at
the
time,
but
nobody
came
to
enquire
how
the
meal
was.
My
wife
chose
the
pizza
margarita,
which
she
said
was
ok.
Now
all
was
going
well,
until
we
noticed
the
disgusting
filthy
state
of
the
chefs
trousers.
If
you
have
an
open
kitchen
policy,
which
is
good,
then
please
make
sure
that
the
staff
representing
you
are
of
a
smart,
but
most
importantly,
of
a
clean
appearance.
Your
chefs
trousers
looked
like
they’d
not
been
changed
in
days,
if
not
weeks,
there
was
certainly
more
than
a
mornings
worth
of
grime/grease
on
them,
they
totally
put
us
off
what
we
were
eating
as
they
were
disgusting
and
it
begs
the
question
of
the
chefs
food
hygiene
standards.
Summing
up,
it’s
a
good
concept
making
use
of
a
beautiful
church
building
being
used,
rather
than
being
left
to
neglect.
However,
would
we
go
again?
-
NO.
Sorry
guys,
but
your
hygiene
standards
need
to
be
addressed
-
starting
with
you
chefs
attire.
Especially
now
all
eyes
will
be
focused
on
him!
