Awesome place! I came here to get some advice on some vintage vinyl and to my surprise it was a cool coffee shop too! The place sells obviously vinyls new and old but I visited just for advice - which they were more than welcoming. Ben was extremely helpful and gave me some great advice and couldn't appreciate it anymore. Also, I grabbed myself a latte which was delightful! Shall definitely be returning and would recommend to anyone.

05/02/23: full English breakfast was great. Someone left half of theirs because she was too full. It wasn't me or Archie! Good tunes on the deck, brilliant atmosphere and the usual friendly staff [photo update] 27/10/22: only popped in for a quick coffee. We had a Coconut mocha, light flaked with rich dark chocolate and an Americano. Dog friendly, very accommodating and as we glanced the breakfast menu, it looked reasonably prices and will be on our future list of places to return to. Wax and Beans was not what we expected and surprised we'd not been to before. Vinyl record/Music shop/Coffee shop, in a Grade II listed building. Also has a great website explaining that all the pre-loved vinyl is available to play on the turntable, through headphones, a try-before-you-buy.

Since my husband and I got into vinyl, Wax and Beans has been a go-to stop for us whenever we're in town. Everyone is so welcoming and chatty, the coffee and food is great, and Ben is so knowledgeable and always willing to offer his advice when needed. One of these days we might remember to bring in our unwanted albums for you to look at.

Wax and Beans is a cosy, joyous coffee and vinyl shop. From excellent, reasonably priced food and drinks to a huge selection of popular vinyl records (pre-loved and brand-new) to choose from, this establishment has everything you could possibly need to brighten your day. All of the staff are so unbelievably friendly and accommodating; always attending to needs, ensuring you have the most fulfilling experience possible. Wax and Beans is a home from home, with the same feeling as going to visit a beloved family member who you maybe haven’t seen in a while. That’s what the shop is built for, not just to buy a new vinyl or enjoy some lovely brunch & coffee/tea (although each are extremely great and so worth it) but for the sense of a real and authentic community to become involved with. As well as all of this, on a few nights a month (check website for more info), there are some exciting music and comedy gigs available for your attendance (performed by creatives looking to find their feet in the industry and also other, more famous characters, too!) If you’ve been looking for the perfect place to visit in the heart of Bury Town Centre, look no further and get yourself down to Wax and Beans. I promise that you’ll want to revisit again straight after. P.S there are now two Airbnb apartments on the top floor of the building to stay overnight if you’re journeying from afar! It’s a win win situation in my book ☺️

Lovely quirky coffee house with a great menu. Relaxed atmosphere and very spacious. Great funky decor, spacious seating areas. Rustic charm about the place and polite staff. Clean spaces. Access door for disabled persons. Highly recommend this place. Adjacent to the mill gate shopping centre.

Buzzing on a Sunday lunchtime! Yes it's warm and sunny here in Bury! I've been meaning to visit here for a while, and was pleasantly impressed. It's bright and has vibrant welcoming feel. Sadly, only had time to browse some of the LPs, after going for an eye test nearby. Prices on albums seemed about right for the high street. They do have a used section. I didn't have time to sample coffee or food, but will be back to report, in time. I strongly support Indy Record Stores!🙏

Love it. Great place, and great coffee too. Good menu choices, at reasonable prices. Love the idea of them selling records too. Trendy place with a great atmosphere. Right in Bury Town centre too.

Absolutely brilliant record and coffee shop. Popped in this morning and service was fantastic (as always). Friendly, happy staff members. Today, the butter to toasted teacake ratio was exceptional. Will be back soon, thanks

The team at wax and Beans are amazing and are a pleasure to deal with. Their customer service is amazing. I live in Sydney Australia, the effort to packaging for international shipping was next level. The item arrived in perfect condition. I would absolutely recommend to buy vinyl from Wax and Beans. The hand written thank you note at the bottom of the package was a great touch as well. Thanks team you are a pleasure to deal with.

This is a lovely dog friendly coffee / record shop. Affordably priced, Freshly cooked range of food available, I can highly recommend the full breakfast. A selection of cakes on offer too, large room upstairs for larger parties. The staff are very friendly and attentive, they have a great range of vinyl records on display for you to peruse at your leasure, If they've not got what your looking for chances are they can get it for you. This really is a little gem and well worth a visit. Not what I expected it to be and now I visit most weeks. Keep up the good works guys. 😁

Great little cafe in the centre of Bury that also happens to sell vinyl records. Really friendly staff too, a great place to have a brew and maybe buy a decent tune or two. Highly recommended you pay a visit if in town.

Brilliant combo of music and food. Winning combo already and then to top that off-the friendliest staff and they make the place absolutely special. Highly recommended

Great record store & cafe. I had been told about Wax and Beans, which came on recommendation from an owner of one of my favourite independent record stores in Manchester. I was very impressed on my first visit to the place. This is a traditional cafe with a series of vinyl record bins placed along the wall. The bins themselves are not sorted in any specific order by artists or genre, but for this type of store, I actually found this to be quite fun. Searching through the new vinyl record bins with this type of setup becomes like a little adventure of not knowing what little treasures you are going to unearth. I usually go shopping for vinyl at the weekend, setting myself a bit of an allowance to spend on new records, otherwise a good chunk of my paycheque would go on building my collection, so I usually pickup some records from each bin along the way & then whittle it down to a selection to purchase to ensure I get the most bang for my buck. The owners of the store are very helpful & have even given some of my records which need a little bit more TLC than a regular hand cleaning a quick run through their record cleaning machine which has really breathed new life into old records or ones which get a lot of play. I usually get some food & a drink before I leaving, which Wax and Beans cannot be faulted. I usually go for a full english breakfast & a couple of cokes or maybe a bottle or 2 of Magners Cider if I'm going in later during the day. Fantastic cafe & record store. Wax And Beans also hold live gigs, which I will have to attend at some point :D

Great atmosphere, good menu options for everyone including vegan friends. Coffee is okay but we mainly visit for food + atmosphere, which are great. Very well priced as well.
