Rose & Crown, Ramsbottom

Bar β€’ Pub

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Another hidden gem in Ramsbottom. Probably best known by the locals as it's at the tip of a steep hill or halfway down a walk from the Shoulder of Mutton. They have just opened up their bowling green as a tremendous beer garden. Huge. Beautiful views.

Probably has the best beer garden in England. A disused bowling green with tables/parasols and a fantastic view of the hills all round. There are also animals in well tended large cages, rabbits, ducks, geese, Guinness pigs, budgies etc absolutely great for kids, room to run around without annoying adults

Went to watch a band on Saturday 14th September with friends. What a lovely pub this is! The landlord & landlady were so welcoming and friendly. Everywhere was clean including the ladies wc. Nice friendly atmosphere & good bar prices. They even brought out a free supper! Which was an excellent home cooked for everyone. At the end of the evening they rang a taxi for us. It's a long time since I have been in a pub and been made to feel so welcome. Wish I lived in the area as I would definitely go there regularly.

Friendly place. Beer selection is low quality, the same tap selection you would see 20 years ago. And the black mould in the gents is shocking.
