Stubbylee Park is a busy park at weekend with lots of families visiting, Bicycling and Dog walkers. There is a purpose build Bicycling course as well as wide paths for cyclists. It's a fairly large park which is full of mature trees, their are both large and small walking paths to explore the nature and children as well as adults love it. Most dog walkers clean up their animals mess but as usual the lazy irresponsible ones don't so you have to be careful will young children. Apart from that negative point it's a great park to visit. In summer it's beautiful, you can have a picnic and a great afternoon out.

We love this park so much. From a magic fairy walk to the lovely cafe. Really good for people who enjoy bike rides and for active people. They've got tennis courts, a skate park, a bowling green and a massive football pitch. Such a lovely relaxing place to go. Great for kids and for people of all ages.

Fantastic park. The park itself is big enough to keep the kids entertained for a good while. They also loved the gym equipment outside the park too. The cafe is close by and had a great selection of items that were very reasonably priced too. The gardens were lovely to walk around the the fairy dell was also beautiful. Lots to do to keep the little ones entertained.

Great little park. I wish I'd have known about the parking behind the hall. Good tennis courts and bike park perfectly for kids. Plenty of bins. The duck pond and fairy trail is particularly lovely - lots of steps. Lovely views over the stone wall. Just large enough for my young dog.

Absolutely beautiful park! Took my dog here today for the first time and thanks to the weather being somewhat unpredictable we almost had the place to ourselves. Will definitely come back again.

Great park. Lots of parking at the house and additional parking around the back. There is buggy access to the majority of the park, but the fairy dell is not buggy friendly, so take a carrier for that part - lots of steps! There is a toilet at the car park and some really good facilities for bikes (dirt track), skate park and tennis courts! Had a great day.

This park is a real staple in the heart of Bacup, Lancashire. The play park is currently being regenerated for 2019 and from what I have seen it is going to be outstanding. Make sure you visit the cafe in the middle of the park on a Wednesday - Sunday (10:00-15:00) for fresh and organic food, some of which is grown on site by the management. The cafe itself is a must visit and the fact it is accompanied by such a lovely park space makes it all the better. Oh and if you're passing through, check out the Fairy Dell (pictures attached) for a magical experience. Finally... There's bowling greens, a football pitch, a dedicated pump bicycle track and a full skate park to boot.

Arrived in a beautiful surrounding little village, went to look for the fairy dell, after finding it,was surprised to see a little village of fairy houses, all by a running stream, all shapes and sizes. Plant pots bees hanging in the trees, and fairys on swings, was amazing. After leaving there was a beautiful mansion, that had been turned into a ciztens advice center,a skate park, basketball,a brilliant park for kids of a younger age.

Very helpful staff in the cafe. Good atmosphere and very tasty food. The park is very clean and not too steep for people with mobility problems.

Me and my family love Stubby Lee Park it's very charming. With a beautiful walk through the fairy dell to the playground where my kids can happily play for an hour. It's a beautiful setting with lots of interesting things going on.

Brilliant park, loads to do if your little one loves biking! The cafe is run by very friendly thoughtful volunteers and delicious food made with veggies grown and cooked on site. I lost my work phone in this park and they went out of their way to by a charger specifically for my phone to charge it to get it back to me. Thanks you volunteers at Stubby Lee Park Cafe

Wow, presently surprised. Beautiful open fresh park. Plenty of things such as tennis courts, skateboarding area, streams, duck pond, football area, gym and play area and the magical tinker bell woodland area as-well as the sunken gardens. We’ve been meaning to come to this park for ages and it was well worth it. Lovely well half a day spent.

Lovely gladed area by the river with hidden displays, lots of places to picnic and walk. The children play area is suitable for all ages and well maintained (can get a little muddy in wet weather). Skate park is good but under construction on one section. Has tennis court and the stables cafe has excellent food.

Today there was an event to celebration. Stubbylee Park has received a Green Flag award. The Mayor was giving a speach to congratulate all thoses involved for their hard work. The park has a lot to offer. It is well managed.

Varied array of play equipment. Big slide has grass edges, worn away and slippy. Who would put deep steps so far from it? Some nugget with long legs!

Fantastic little hidden gem, I visited alone with my baby son the park is neat and tidy and well kept. There's a fairy glen running down one side that's good for little children playing spotting the doors. The incline is quite steep in places and the cafe is good if a little expensive. Hot drinks and food aplenty, perfect for a cold winter's day. Though alone I felt safe in the park parking is on the main road running alone side or in the top car park bit you would have to go along the main road to access. Toilets are clean and accessible for prams
