Only been in here twice but the Staff!! May I just say it was so fun to be in a chippy Lol! I was waiting for a sausage and the kids were playing up but the Staff gave them free drinks and entertained them until we left, Thanks guys.

went on Saturday 13th may , to collect my order was quite shocked to see a young lad filling curry tubs up then licking his fingers , touching his face too , all people in there had dirty aprons on to ! not a good sign if they can't keep themselves clean you could tell they hadn't been washed in a while , should of said something really , dread to think whats going on round back ! used to be a good chippy but with other shop opening i think standards have slipped , won't be back and the food went in bin , needs new manager with experience

At Kay’s fish and chips shop you get the old traditional English dishes. From fish and chips to sausages, pies, puddings etc. Excellent English food at excellent prices. Food service staff very friendly and polite. Makes a change from all the kebab & curry houses and stuff. Excellent food, I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in the area. I highly recommend “Kay’s Fish & Chips “ for traditional- English, fish and chips 🍟.

Poor quality food with high prices. There’s nothing special about the chips, curry, or gravy but they give you tiny portions for the price you pay. The other well known chippy in Rawtenstall offers better value quality food.

Order a load of food, bits missing, largely cold, massively overpriced for the Thai chicken box, pathetically small for £10! Nearly £60 for 4 people in total. Chips portions are tiny. Contacted and asked for a refund on at least the missing items. Never got back to me. Will NEVER use again.

Another fabulous fish and chips from kays. orderd online and was wrapped ready to go. Always prepared on time. Tuesdays is the new chippy tea night :) Best chippy in Rossendale

Loved the food. We had cod fillet and chips. Salt and pepper chicken strips. Very good portion sizes. Wouldn't say value for money. However you get what you pay for. It was very tasty. Batter light and crispy and not greasy. Waiting time reasonable. Uber eats offer advertised in the window was not available which was disappointing. But would go again.

It's a chippy. But it's a really good chippy. The large fish and chips isn't cheap, but the fish was fresh, meaty and flaky with really crispy batter. Delicious. Loads of really nice chips as well. Will definitely go here again.

Order from here a lot. Recently as a weekly treat for a while. We either pick up or get it delivered. Reason for three is that my partner loved his battered sausage, chips and gravy. And we always have enjoyed our other meals. However today… I don’t know what’s gone on. I’ve ordered sweet and sour chicken. And it’s nothing like that. It’s just spicy and spicy. It’s the small shredded chicken too. They’ve obviously run out of the chicken bites and mixed the sweet and sour sauce with the salt and pepper chicken. The amount of chillis I’ve pulled out is ridiculous. My mouth is on fire and my lips feel swollen. Can’t even give it to the dogs. A heads up/communication would have been gratefully appreciated

Well, what to say,...2 lots of fish un chips and peas!!! in a box. Well I say 2 peas only ordered one, serving assistant over keen and did not listen to my order. started to blather one portion in salt and vinegar after stating only salt on both.. ordered one carton of peas but got x2.. pretty useless as a profession! On starting to eat the portions, both cartons of peas, just like warm to cold on the top as if sat in cartons ready to serve on counter.. not nice cold peas.. so to the fish and chips.. Well we both agreed the chips were PANTS! not even a decent portion but not an real issue as we both left 90% of the portions given.. fish, greasy, wet and leaving a real fat stuck on both the chips it eas sat on and the box liner, to be honest it was OK, I ate all but under duress as not to waste the £22 bill,my partner ate 2/3 of it and gave in..OVERALL OPINION WE WILL NOT BE VALLIBG AGAIN,UNLESS FOR MY MONEY BACK. perhaps owner might get in touch to discuss so I can get a refund bext time im passing, but we had to be somewhere hence calling as we passed, and not having the heart to go back in..

Cant even cook chips right awful . Dont bother waste of money . The spicy curry just tates of dirt .

Salt and pepper chips are not great, just a few spring onions thrown in the box, no seasoning which was very disappointing. Avoid the halloumi bites they were awful. The fish was lovely though, really soft and curry sauce was yummy. Slightly cold when we got home but fish and chips just doesn't travel well.

Everytime we get food from Kays they miss off food from the order and everytime we give them another chance, one time they missed off 4 out of 9 items. Not ordering again as they never seem to get it right 🙄 and we're fed up of ringing them because they don't seem bothered. Oh, and don't get the halloumi popcorn..... it's foul.

We order form here A LOT and the food is normally good, that’s why there’s two star and not one, but tea is ruined. this time they ran out of beef rag pudding and sent a steak and kidney, which would be fine (never called to let us know so if they’re out you will get what your given when your ordering) but they didn’t send the full meal either so I just get a steak and kidney pudding for my tea and told I can order again or contact Uber. Not impressed, plenty of chippys around

Very Poor. The food came and it was cold. There was missing items out of the delivery, really disappointing. Spending over £30 on a chippy, I just wouldn't expect it to miss items or come cold. Not happy.

Wife loved the GF salt and pepper meal. Everything was well handled and Kays even went that extra mile to lable the speakers bag 'I'm gluten free'. Very thoughtful 👌

Food always spot on,unfortunately uber driver phoned me and I gave him exact address and how to get to me. He left it at another address nowhere near mine and lied to uber eats who in turn refused my refund. Complained no reply. Poor delivery service and £22.00 down. Shame

Good food but the service charge and delivery price on uber eats is ridiculous! We only live 10 minutes away yet we have to pay 6.50 altogether just to get it delivered. Plus its usually cold because they do two delivery stops before they get to us.

Visited tonight for the first time. I thought I’d stepped into Vogue as the music was very loud. Lots of staff around, chit chatting. Young girl attempted to take my order, I think I must of been talking in Japanese as she didn’t understand what I was saying. I again told her my order after she tried to recite it back to me, completely wrong. She seemed annoyed that I had to correct her a few times as she didn’t say Thankyou or goodbye once she’d given me my food. Yes she did get the order completely wrong, ended up with 2 unhappy children and a grumpy husband as he was missing his mushy peas. Food was good, service was poor.

Been a few times a d can highly recommend their salt and pepper chicken and chips with spicy curry sauce. It's delish! Can get busy both in shop and delivered so would recommend collecting. Staff are super friendly!

I was informed this chippy was best in Lancashire 🤔🌈..got to be honest it would be hard to beat 💓...the premises spotless..staff so friendly..pie and chips 🍟..curry sauce and a can of coke on the house 🌈....I considered the gesture was a thank you 🚑..considering I'd double parked my ambulance outside his premises....well we thank you for your contribution and services you and your staff provide to all communities and surroundings....Would highly recommend...And my food was perfect 👌 👍
