Unexpected. We came across the Fairies Chapel by accident really whilst walking the dogs. Stunning rocky gorge and series of waterfalls. Love the whole of the nature reserve for its beauty and historical interest

Scenic location with Information boards present that detail it's history. Stopped off here as part of the Healey Dell trail. Recommended and recommend the overall trail walk too. A place I would like to see in all seasons.

A beautiful location and one I would recommend if you love the majestic beauty of nature. Unspoilt natural spot for walks, running or biking, however, will need to leave the bike if you want to explore off the beaten track. Please ensure you have good grip due to uneven surface

A wonderful place to visit, good for the soul. Fresh air, beautiful scenery, good paths. Saved our sanity during lockdown, kids will love it and it's all free!

Really good place to relax & just walk around this amazing nature reserve. With real scenic views. Excellent place to go and relax in the peace and tranquility of this amazing place. I was lucky enough to be raised in whitworth where Healy dell nature reserve is located and the place brings back such happy, nostalgic memories, I truly do love the place. Take a stroll over the 7 arches bridge and look at the scenic view, or go to the pond area where there are wildlife present on the lake. Or walk to the top of bluebell hill and see all the scenes you wouldn’t normally see. The fairies chambers are very good too with huge rock formations & fast flowing white water. This is an excellent place to go even after lockdown and especially in the spring and summer. This is a big nature reserve and there are benches every where so you can sit and relax whenever you want. Ideal place to go running, biking, having a picnic or just walking your dog.Really easy to get to with local buses etc & there’s a shop nearby too for snacks and refreshments.Excellent, Highly recommended.πŸ‘

Beautiful scenery, especially in the sun. A bit of a fair walk, but the surroundings are nice to see.

Beautiful walk and scenery. Though found directions confusing and parts overgrown . I assume the road our Sat Nav took us, is the residents job to resurface, hence very rugged. Around 3 mile walk. A few steps to Manage, but nice

This is a good place for general walkers with mostly flat terrain. It seems especially popular with dog walkers with various trails and walks. The scenery was a mixed bag with some gorgeous streams, waterfalls and flora/fauna but also some run down sections. In comparison to other walks I have been on i wouldn't rate it as highly but it was good to get out and get some fresh air around. The path we took was about 50mins but there are longer ones it seemed. I would recommend this if you like short flat walks with some decent scenery scattered around but I wasn't very enthused.

Beautifully magical little walk...so much to explore. Took our 2 almost 3 year old and he loved looking for fairy caves and splashing in the water. Will be spending a lot more time here in future. πŸƒπŸ‘πŸ»

Brilliant walk with stunning views to say it's a five minute drive from Rochdale town centre is some contrast. The spot is full of information boards and maps which feed you some history into the area, will definitely be visiting again.

Healey Dell, well worth a visit. Boxing day walk with my Fiancee and dog to Fairies Chapel. Quiet, peaceful. Just perfect location.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Beautiful walk on a sunny afternoon with my wife and kids. Not busy at all and we had a nice quiet walk where we could take our time and enjoy the views by the river and the kids even managed to put their feet in the freezing water for abit of fun! Be warned that one side of the river bank is a shee...
