Felt great to walk around the park this afternoon, parking was easy and lots of great areas to sit or have a little picnic.

Lovely place to visit. Takes about an hour to walk round the reservoir. There are plenty of routes of the main walk to explore and I will be coming back to have a look. 🚶

Beautiful local leisure spot. Nice place for a vigorous jog! Not suitable for bicycles. Parking is free but the car park often fills up quickly. Be careful on the little road leading to the reservoir, the Grane Road is fast and dangerous, may be hazardous when making the turn off or back on. The supply road is single lane and can be inaccessible in severe weather. Nice place to walk your dog but be aware there are sheep loose around the area and be ready to pop a lead on. Very beautiful place, highly recommend.

Great for a walk a shame about the dog mess left by thoughtless dog walkers

We love going here for great walks with our pup. Lots of beautiful scenery to see, hills, fields to roam and the West Penine Way to climb if you are feeling adventurous. Definitely a must to visit.

Great 2km walk. Wheelchair friendly and good for all levels of fitness. You can trek off to many places from here but the wooded area is particularly tranquil. Well maintained and 2 bins for rubbish which most people make use of.

Calf Hey Reservoir is a beautiful and scenic spot located in Haslingden Grane. The reservoir was built in 1860 and is surrounded by lush greenery and picturesque views. The circular walk around the reservoir is a breezy and easy hike that takes about an hour to complete. You can see the ruins of Hartley House and farm, which was the last part of the village to have people living in it. The area is well-maintained, and there are plenty of spots to take pictures. It’s a great place to visit if you’re looking for a relaxing day out in nature.

Good views but no place to sit! Sit on the rocks, grass and also on poop! You can't touch water just view it from far away. Parking is very limited too. You have no access to sit on grass if you wish to sit then you have to jump because barriers are locked 🤣
