Lee Quarry Mountain Bike Trail

Bmx park

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Really good and definitely worth an explore on your mountain bike. Something to challenge everybody including some very steep and high descents, a nice drop-off area where there's five different drop-offs depending on how big your kahoonas are. Also a nice trail linking to Cragg Quarry that flows... People often mention quarry, bike, trails, good, area, great, ride,

Really good and definitely worth an explore on your mountain bike. Something to challenge everybody including some very steep and high descents, a nice drop-off area where there's five different drop-offs depending on how big your kahoonas are. Also a nice trail linking to Cragg Quarry that flows beautifully over multiple mini drop off rocks. Cue a good challenge with mates - having to do every one of these πŸ‘ There's even free and secure parking in the Rossendale Council car park at the bottom of the slope, just off New Church Road.

Very good place with outstanding views from top, hard-going to cycle up to the quarry on loose stone but that is due to my age -lol. Would more suit a intermediate to advanced MTB rider to get the full use of the quarry. Use knee pads as stones hurt. Enough room for about 8 cars on service road before path up to the quarry or 3 cars outside houses on quarry path. Easier to park on service road. Take food and drink as nothing around quarry to buy any supplies

A fantastic place to go for walks, runs or take the bike out. Though please remember to be respectful to the local farm animals and wildlife of you go out on a bike! This area serves as a superb lung of greenery, exciting terrain and solitude for those seeking it. Some dangerous cliff edges in areas so please be especially careful of this is your first time here.

Quite exposed on the hill side and top without trees to break the wind and the trails can be difficult to follow as they aren't brilliantly marked at some points. Despite this there is plenty to go at and you can always make your own route, it caters for a a variety of skills and there is always an option to avoid the more challenging parts of the trails which are easy to identify before its too late. Access from the car park is very steep so a reasonable level of fitness is advised.

Amazing trails for intermediate to advanced riders, big long initial uphill followed by lots of challenging downs and a massive playground for mountain bikers.

Good uphill walk. Views over Rossendale Valley and Moors are pretty nice! Watch out for the holes and drops! Worth a look over Cowpe if fancy another walk. Not bad for a drone shot!

Absolutely great riding, multi use area for horses and mountain bikes walking etc Vast area to get around and some good and great tracks to ride It has pump tracks for the bikes and jumps thrown into the routes. Has all the kind of routes you could need red, black etc but can be cold and bleak at times so make sure your prepared and bring spare inner tubes and puncture kits as it's hard stone and can catch you out

I went up to Lee quarry a few weeks back for the first time and I absolutely loved it, the views are amazing. Its peaceful & quiet. Lovely walk for both adults and children and great for dogs. I definitely recommend taking water and snacks with you. I think bins should be up here though.

Super fun day out yesterday. The trails could do with a little bit of TLC but still an excellent ride. The ride down to the car park is definitely the most fun I've had on my bike in a while 😁

Trail running review: This is an absolute must-visit for any of you trail runners. There are a wide ranging variety of trails/routes to chose from with various degrees of technical difficulty. Steep climbs & steep descents aplenty, with plenty of twists & turns to keep you on your toes! The views are just epic (part of the quarry was used for filming some of season 6 of Peaky Blinders) & it's a totally different experience depending on the type of weather (I've run it in everything from sun to snow). Make sure you pay a visit & bring your trail shoes!

This is a great place for a walk (or bike, horse ride) The water areas (3) are fab for dogs to have a swim. There are some sheep, so need ro be careful with dogs when they are around.

What a fantastic place to ride. The climb to it gets your heart pumping. Then there's a variety of trails to choose from. Some not for the faint hearted. Definitely worth a look

I literally live at the bottom of the hill and ride here 2 or 3 times a week on my EMTB. It's a big place and there so many good trails that you will probably miss on your first couple of visits. Dont get drawn to the big open area, you'll get bored early. Amazing how many people miss the good stuff around the edges. My advice is to explore it properly.πŸ‘πŸ»

Great trail! Lots of different routes and run offs and there's a decent area for pump bikes. Only down side is there's quite a bit of uphill, especially the first trek up. And the signage for the routes could be better
