I honestly can’t fault this place. We drove from Glasgow purely to take our son who has celiac disease and for him to actually enjoy a treat! They were fantastic with him and the service was 10/10

What a yummy breakfast I had this morning. French toast maple syrup and bacon with a side of smash avacado. It’s was delicious. Very reasonable prices too. My first visit won’t be my last. Next time I am bringing my friends for brunch. Well done guys. 5 star.

After driving for about 7 hours from the deep south we hunted for a spot of lunch. Walked up, down and around Ayr and found this absolutely wonderful cafe! May & the two gents accommodated us two hungry gremlins with freshly made sandwiches and fries! I wish I took a photo of it as it looked as good as it tasted. Our coffees were made perfectly & to end our little feast we had a slice of carrot cake each, these were heavenly! If we’re ever in the area again I would definitely go back for great coffee & some amazing food plus a nice chin wag with May! 10/10 experience, food, drink & people. If I could give more stars I would.

Had a really nice breakfast here at the weekend. Was just looking for something simple for me and something a bit more interesting for my friend. So this place was a perfect mix between the two. The price was reasonable and the service was great, very friendly and pet friendly too!

We came here for lunch and the food was outstanding. We had the loaded Katsu fries and a soft drink each. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating as we had came later in the day and let us eat even after they had closed with no pressure to finish up. When we leaving they gave us some free cakes to enjoy, as they would have been going to waste. Highly recommend

We've been meaning to drop in for more than just a brew for a number of visits now, however that's yet to happen. Regardless, we always come back to Thyme when we are in Ayr as this is hands down one of the best coffee shops in town. Quick service precedes a tasty, well rounded brew served by friendly staff in a chilled, horticulturally inspired shop. On top of the coffee, Thyme has an extensive food menu and offers indoor plant sales to boot for those with green fingers.

The new owners have a fantastic variety on the menu and servings are very generous. Toasties are doorstops on fresh bread with generous filling and tasty homemade soup. Will definitely go again. Staff are friendly, polite and helpful.

Would highly recommend! I have visited this cafe a few times now since new owners have taken over and each time I have loved it more. Very generous portions, super tasty food, an excellent selection of cakes and extremely friendly staff. I will definitely be back!

Just missed breakfast but the server was so nice she got us breakfast rolls, which were delicious. The Lemon Meringue Pie was to die for.

Food was excellent, sandwiches made fresh with a decent amount of ingredients. Person serving was running solo and doing an amazing job keeping up with a substantial crowd. Reasonably priced and worth a visit.

A great little place for lunch. Extensive menu with plenty of choice, and everything I tried over the course of a week was excellent - decent portions of really good food. Also great coffee, and all at a reasonable price.

What a fantastic hidden gem of a place! Absolute stroke of luck, was a little hungry, timing found us walking past and looking at the menu. We decided to give Thyme a try, well it did not disappoint, Coffee was fantastic and the 3 different sandwiches we ordered were among the best we have ever had. Slightly different from the normal, but the flavours were amazing. Unfortunately not in Ayr very often, but if we are back in the area I know where we will be having lunch.
