I had a terrible experience with this location. The service they provided didnā€™t work as advertised. I tried repeatedly to work with them constructively, continued to spend money with them. When I finally held them accountable to their guarantees they went radio silent and never responded. They had their chance to work with me on numerous occasions now itā€™s time for the negative review. I would encourage anyone who is considering to go here to go elsewhere. They are only concerned about making money and have no concern for their clients or their clientā€™s experience. Getting a facial there isnā€™t relaxing, itā€™s a small store with little privacy and no opportunity to relax. Their Botox is ineffective and the touch up is falsely advertised. They may say they will take care of your needs but they wonā€™t. Iā€™ve also been to providers that offer a cleaner and safer set up than Glo 30 does at this location.

The facials are decent, but do NOT sign up for the ā€œmembershipā€ ā€” itā€™s a rip off and they make it virtually impossible to cancel. Iā€™ve requested a cancellation of my membership multiple times and they come back citing a 30-day cancellation period AND a one-year commitment of the contractā€¦ both of which were never explained to me by their team when I signed up? Iā€™ve spent thousands of dollars at Glo30 at this point, and they are still requiring me to PAY to use the credits Iā€™ve acquired. Iā€™m disappointed and frankly donā€™t recommend anyone spending their money here.

Yesterday my mom went to see Emen and her face has never looked better. She says she was very gentle and informed her of all the steps she should take for better skin. Booking her second appointment right now.

I cannot remember her name but she works at the Shaw location in DC. The best facial Iā€™ve had, ever. Gentle yet extremely effective. The extraction process was flawless. She was able to explain everything to me in plain terms. Iā€™m an attorney and business man and I value the ability to explain concepts in terms that people can truly understand. Spoke when I spoke, and remained silent when I was silent. I wish I could remember her name; she was the best and didnā€™t try to over sell me on products. Explained my skin type, told me the issues I had, and told me that I really just needed to possibly try a new face wash. I bought one of theirs. I am not from DC but go there about twice a month. Iā€™ll be visiting her at-least once a month and I am going to sign up for the membership plan because of her. Young girl but obviously took her job very seriously.

I'm about halfway through the initial membership period of one year, and am overall pretty dissatisfied. The facials are fine, depending on the aesthetician you go to, but the service isn't as advertised. They pitch a customized experience and ongoing monitoring of skin condition, but in reality you just come in and get whatever the "monthly" facial is. You can request changes, certainly, but I haven't had an aesthetician make observations, suggestions, or otherwise do anything other than administer the facial. Unlike other local spots, they don't seem interested in discussing skincare routines or giving advice. Overall, it's fine, I suppose, but I would not have locked into a one-year contract without the misleading advertising.

I absolutely love going to this place! The products are AMAZING and the quality of the service you get is untouchable! The front desk is ALWAYS super friendly and always greet me with a smile whenever I come in for my monthly facial. MAJOR shout out to one of the workers, Samantha! She is PHENOMENAL and never disappoints! I always feel like Iā€™m in good hands when I go to her, sheā€™s very knowledgeable and explains thoroughly what sheā€™s going to do during that treatment and how it will help improve my face! Sheā€™s also a great conversationalist (sheā€™s like my therapist šŸ˜„) overall I give this place a 5 star and nothing less!

I have a membership and so far, I've been in twice. I've enjoyed both experiences and my skin seems to responding well to treatment! Update: Iā€™ve been happy with my results so Iā€™ve upgraded my membership. Iā€™ve already seen improvements in the skin! The Glo30 team really cares about your skin improvement goals!

I love GLO30! I am docking it one star because it was a bit of a hassle to schedule appointments at my preferred location when I first signed up. When I signed up for the membership, there were no times available, and I had to email them, and they opened up more spots. I've learned to just book my monthly appointment months in advance (4-6 months out) to ensure I get a date/time that I want. I've had no problems since then, but it was quite frustrating to sign up for something like this and not be able to book easily. As far as the facials themselves, i started in February, so I'm 7 months in, and I'm in love! I plan to continue after my year ends. I look forward to my visits each month. I have been seeing Samantha exclusively - she's fantastic! Her extractions are effective but gentle - I've had facials at other places in the past that have left me irritated and inflamed for a week, but not here. Her massages are the best, and she's very friendly and informative. She answers my questions intelligently and patiently, and recommends products when I need them without being pushy. Yesterday, Samantha asked me how my skin was doing before our session, and I told her about some pressure I was feeling under my skin that I usually feel right before a monster zit pops out (we all know that feeling, right?), and she gave the area some extra attention during the facial, and today I am feeling no pressure at all. I am confident (though knock on wood!) that her magic has kept the monster zit at bay lol. The products I've purchased through GLO30 have all been wonderful. Since I have a discount on products as a member and earn points for credit, I've stopped shopping elsewhere and subscribing to beauty boxes (e.g., Allure - as fun as those things are!) because I know I'm getting quality at GLO30. I've received the facial of the month each month, and they're each unique, creative, relaxing, and fun. I don't have any major skin issues these days (I didn't when I started), and do GLO30 mostly for relaxation and self-care, but one friend (who is obsessed with skin care) has told me recently that my skin appears to be glowing more than usual. Overall, I'm happy I signed up for this and plan to continue in the future.

I used to go to a Medspa where they did botox by the unit and never again will I do that. I love Glo30 for botox because their pricing is so upfront. It is also really affordable, the nurse is great, and my forhead looks smooth! I was pleasently surprised to not walk out with red bumps all over my face because the nurse did this really nice mask after the botox injections

I used to go to glo before covid and started going again about 5 months ago. My skin has literally been glowing since I picked it back up! Sabrina at the Shaw location is amazing. Iā€™ve had Samantha, too, also awesome. Itā€™s something I look forward to every month!

This is the highlight of my month, every month. My skin looks radiant, huge texture improvements, pore reduction, the works after 6 months of regular facials. I also have very sensitive skin but have never had a reaction to anything used during my service or from products Iā€™ve purchased. Samantha is incredible but Iā€™ve loved everyone Iā€™ve had. 10/10

Agree with Claireā€™s review below. The membership is advertised as a personalized experience depending on your skin. Iā€™ve never gotten a facial before and I went in expecting them to ask about my skincare routine, concerns, areas I was trying to address, etc. There wasnā€™t really much of that. They basically said ā€œthis monthā€™s facial is microdermabrasionā€ and just ran with it. They did explain the steps as they were going through and the facial was fine. But I definitely did not feel like I got what I signed up for - which was a customized treatment plan based on my skin and concerns. My first facial was in November and I canā€™t make it back in until January, so I donā€™t know if Iā€™ll get what the ā€œDecember facialā€ was supposed to be or if they skip over the ā€œDecember facialā€ and give whatever Januaryā€™s is or what. They also advertise that they measure your skinā€™s pH and hydration levels but I have no idea if they actually did that. They also advertise your first time there theyā€™ll create a year-long plan on how to improve your skin, but again, that wasnā€™t discussed either.

This place has truly been an incredibly addition to my daily skin care routine. The staff are so wonderful. I go mostly to Samantha and Tsegi at the Shaw location and both are wonderful- really gentle touch but still effective. I love my monthly facials and the products are top quality. Highly recommend!

Ignored my emails about cancelling my membership so I continued to be charged by them. Charged me for a no show after never confirming my appointment request or contacting me about the appointment. The location isnā€™t very clean inside and you can hear everything going on in the other facial area or by the front desk. They refuse to work with you if you have credits built up from being out of town for a bit or being unable to book an appointment because of the limited staff. You canā€™t pause your membership to use up these credits either. They just want your money in any way they can get it, no care for making the experience positive for customers.

Going to Glo30 was a great experience! Office was clean and staff were super friendly. I had the pleasure of getting my Botox done with Karlyne. She addressed all of my questions and concerns and did a great job. Results have been amazing! This is my third time coming to Glo30 and I plan to keep coming back!

Always look forward to my appts with Karlyne. Sheā€™s super knowledgeable and always takes great care of me without pressuring me into any treatments. Sheā€™s helped lay out a full treatment plan specific to my goals. I would highly recommend booking with her!

I have visited both the Shaw & Bethesda locations. Both are very clean facilities with such friendly staff. Iā€™ve been getting my Botox injections done by Karlyne for the past 6 months now, she is so nice to work with. Very professional, personable, and communicated with me throughout the appointment. My results always turn out amazing.

Sam is worthy of a review even if I donā€™t want her schedule to fill up. I would argue that Sam is one of the best, if not the best, estheticians in DC. Sheā€™s honest and truly works with you and your goals.
