This was a beautiful and picture-perfect park, especially when the cherry blossoms are in bloom. The park is right next to a marina with shopping, fishing, and is fairly close to the Jefferson Memorial. There are cherry trees by the Jefferson Memorial as well. Like all national parks in the city, these are free and open to the public.

Great park away from the busy part of town. Free parking. Great for cycling and running. Kids play structure on the south side. Really enjoyed spending time here during our visit to DC.

Beautiful park! I recommend coming during the cherry blossom bloom. Be warned that if you come on the weekend during peak bloom it'll probably be really crowded!

Very hard to get a parking spot during peak season for cherry blossom. But it is truly beautiful here, enjoyed walking around here.

Good location to fish, bike, relax. During high tide the water covers the side walks by the water and into the grass so it can be dangerous but if you don't mind getting your feet wet there are some good size catfish there.

Potomac Island is one of the great hidden gems of DC. Most people dont know how to get to it so it remains hidden. With a nice 3 mile one way road loop, you can drive along enjoying the water at eye level all the way around the island. There's frequent overflights of government helicopters of the east side and national airport on the west side. Check it out!

Super crowded because of the time of year, but it has easily been 20 years since I was last at the Tidal basin for the cherry blossoms. IT was worth it and the weather was beautiful.

The best use of green waterfront space for the betterment of everyone. Tranquil parks and sanctuaries like this one can help heal the mind and body.

Nice park by the water body. You can park your car and take a walk, also so close to the national mall, you can walk to those iconic landmarks

This is my favorite place to come bbq and spend time with friends. Easy Potomac Park and specifically Hains Point is easy to get to if you’re driving. Nice for a picnic and a sunset. There’s also mini golf and an actual golf course.

This waterfront area is a charm during spring and fall, perfect for morning runs or hangouts. Though the park shows some age and could use a little touch-up, it remains a fantastic spot. Nearby, the golf course offers great play and amazing views. Whether biking, walking, or just relaxing, the serene backdrop makes it a special place. It’s a quiet retreat from daily hustle with simple, enjoyable outdoorsy offerings. A lovely spot for those looking to enjoy some calm and scenic beauty.

We have been anchored across from the East Potomac National Park for 2 months. It is beautiful. We walk in the park everyday it is a wonderful meeting place. People fishing and picnicking. Walkers, cyclists use it daily. On the Washington Channel side, enjoy the views of the City Warfe, marinas, boats on the mooring balls or at anchor. On the Potomac side watch aeroplanes land and take off from The Reagan Airport. The playground is immense and a child's dream. The only downside is there are not enough garbage cans on the Washington Channel side going up from the entrance to the golf course going towards the bridges. Which has resulted in people leaving their trash behind. Than again, even with the garbage cans a plenty further down people leave their trash on the ground instead of walking the 100 feet to put it in the trash bin. We see Park staff cleaning up trash daily, they work tirelessly to keep the park clean. Sadly the Public Restroom across from the Mini Gulf is closed and out of service. The Restroom on the Potomac side is open and clean. The jetty dock is excellent and we have used it everyday and is in excellent condition. Needs a trash bin nearby. People sit on the benches enjoying the views but leave their trash behind. When the winds pick up and rainstorm happens all that trash is washed into the river and drifts out to sea. I really hope the walkways right along the river are fixed soon. The current and high tides have some areas closed due to damage. The park is beautiful and must be breathtaking when the Cherry Blossoms are in bloom. The trees are also starting to show their fall colours. It is an absolutely beautiful park. Parking is free and within walking distance to many of the sites to see around the city.

Great place to play golf, go to the driving range, run/walk, or cycle in the middle of DC. I think a large basket of golf balls at the range was $16, and there are 100 bays on two levels.

The weeping cherry trees are in bloom and a few other cherry trees! We saw about 10 weeping cherry trees on our drive around the park yesterday. Looks like most of the cherry trees need more time for full bloom.

Beautiful stretch along the river where you can walk, bike, sit and read, or just people watch under the cherry blossom trees

Beautiful. Cherry blossoms are over right now, not very well kept, dirty and paths in poor condition. Lots of trash around too. Not easy to push a wheelchair around on them either

Beautiful park for kids. Clean and safe for families. It's peaceful and easy to navigate. River water definitely helps with relaxation. Traffic is stressful to DC sometimes, but it's worth visiting this park. I also see a good number of people fishing here.

Very nice-clean little park with some very nice scenery (Riverside vistas) to make your ride, run or walk pleasant. It's very level terrain

The new configuration is great! Miles ahead of what was here previously. The evidence is that I've seen more people walking and biking here on a Saturday morning than I've ever seen here before. Kudos to the traffic engineers. The only observation I have is that I've already seen 3 people driving cars drive on the walk/bike path which is very dangerous and defeats the point of the new configuration. With a little enforcement this place could be perfect.

This large area is utilized by bicycle riders, walkers, picnickers, family gatherings in warm, sunny days. Safe and maintained throughout. Restroom included. Several parking lots. Boat launch & boating school on premises.
