I generally think that Residence Inn hotels are solid, but I was disappointed by this one. Somewhat spacious and nicely styled room but a huge complaint and problem is that the AC/heat blows directly onto the bed. This is not a light air flow but strong enough to actually blow my hair around. My eyes and face got completely dried out every night. I tried moving the vent direction, but no matter what, it blew directly onto the bed. There was no lotion provided in the room, but I asked at the front desk and they gave me some poor-quality watery lotion. The toilet sits very low to the ground. You cannot turn the shower water on or off without getting wet. Whatever the temperature is right out of the chute, you are going to feel it. The breakfast is free, that's the upside. The hot food selections are pretty lacking. There were three each day: scrambled eggs, some kind of breakfast sandwich to go, and a rotating protein -- turkey sausage, chicken sausage, pork sausage, bacon. Most of them were pretty tasteless. No potatoes. The juice was also very low quality.

Rooms are spacious, clean. I didn’t notice the kitchen when I booked the room and it came as a nice surprise to have a full kitchen and separate room, couch, TV in both rooms. Location was perfect for where I needed to go during my stay. I easily booked my uber and there were always so many ubers available when I needed a ride.

Great location with cute restaurants around. The lobby is really pretty and spacious. The underground parking is a great bonus. Rooms are average. Not sure why the washroom, in its entirety, it not separated with a door. When sharing a room with a child, you need the noise to be at a minimum. The toilet and shower are closed off, but the sink area is not. The streaming is terribly slow. It's like this at all of the Residence Inns.

A 10 minute walk from the metro station. Very good place to take a family when visiting Washington DC. Good nice rooms with kitchen facilities. Breakfast is good, fairly standard for this kind of hotel in the US. Short metro ride into DC. Children beds was not made when we arrived late and jet lagged and one set of bed linen was missing from the room. The receptionist fixes it and we got what we needed fairly quickly. Big new and nice playground outside. All in all I would recommend this to friend and family visiting DC with kids.

Absolutely fantastic! Our suite was perfect. The staff (David) was so helpful, kind and so accommodating! A variety was offered for our breakfast needs. The nearby choices of eating was all within walking distance. I would stay there again in a second.

This hotel should get more stars than it has right now. Perfect location and amazing employees. A huge shout to JOHN the receptionist that makes our long stay here feel welcomed and comfortable. From day 1 itself, he makes it an effort to know our family by name and my kids loves saying hi to him everyday at the reception area. He makes sure that all our issues are taken care immediately too and even deliver the item himself thru our front door if needed. He has the real spirit of hospitality. We will definitely request our company to place us in the same hotel if possible every-time we will be at the area. Hotel amenities: the chairs and sofa in our room needs to be updated. Hotel staff: they need to get a bonus for their ownership in keeping this place clean and comfortable. Everyone is so friendly during our one week stay here.

We flew into DCA on a Thursday morning, and navigated the DC Metro for the first time & entirely by ourselves- first rail & then bus. We arrived at the hotel early, planning on just stowing our bags & changing as it was super hot & humid out, instead, we were greeted by John, who is phenomenal! He is an exceptional employee and remembered our names and called us by name our entire stay. That is rare! I work in customer service & he is top-notch. He checked us in early & upgraded us to a suite from the studio we had rented. He also located the only box fan in the building & had it delivered to our room. Our room was comfortable and ready to go. Exactly as you would expect. I included pictures of our view, too. We stayed on the 2nd floor & road noise was minimal. We also were on a corner so we had no neighbors! Between us and the next room was the stairwell. Room 201. A few things to note- dishes are minimal (but we didn't ask for any either), water pressure was hot & amazing, the bed was innerspring & we slept just fine. Three things that we had to adjust to were the wifi is slow, Verizon cell service is spotty, and the hotel is a LEED hotel so the AC kicks on when you enter as there is an occupancy center, but the room cools down quickly & it wasn't hot just a little warmer than we are used to (probably 74ish degrees. Overall, it was a great stay in our room. Breakfast is above average for a hotel breakfast. Lots of choices- meats, eggs, bagels, cereal, fresh fruit, and more! Coffee & water are available during the day in the dining room as well. Before heading out each day we'd fill our water bottles with ice & stop and get cold water. Super nice touch! There is a market in the lobby to grab a few things. The pool, gym, weight room, and laundry room is on floor 2. We did not check those out, but they appeared clean & there is a lifeguard on duty. The hotel is clean & the staff is friendly and pleasant. The walk to the Ballston Metro Station is roughly 5 blocks. Tons of food options very close- Ballston Quarter is across the street & it's a mall. There is a Harris Teeter a block away to grab some groceries. Starbucks is on the same block as well. The neighborhood is clean & we felt extremely safe. We rode the metro to and from DC each day & we found it to be super clean, efficient, and easy to navigate for 2 people that have never ridden a subway. Download a few apps & do some reading ahead of time. We would definitely choose this hotel again if we were to return to the DC area.

Wonderful hotel in many aspects. Staff was very professional. Knocking a star off due to the internet. Speeds were absolutely abysmal. I got a peak of .24mbps (thats not a typo) and could barely even load documents in my email. There was also no way to relog into the sign in page after the second day to even attempt to pay for better internet, even though in 2023 you'd think that functional, free internet would be a thing. Hotspot ended up being faster.
