I love this Apple store!! The representative that helped me was excellent in explaining product differences and finding out my needs to better advise me. I had an appointment and the apple was on time and I was able to get in and get what I needed. I love the history behind the location as well.

The DC Carnegie Library is a historic landmark in Washington, D.C. that has been transformed into a modern Apple flagship store. The building was originally built in 1903 with funding from Andrew Carnegie, and it served as the city's central library for many years. In 2019, the library closed for a two-year renovation, and it reopened in 2021 as an Apple store. The Apple Carnegie Library is a beautiful example of Beaux-Arts architecture. The exterior is made of white marble, and the interior features a soaring rotunda with a skylight. The store which is on the first floor is home to a wide variety of Apple products, as well as a Genius Bar for technical support. There is also a space called the Forum that is used for events and workshops. In addition to being an Apple store, the DC Carnegie Library is also a museum of DC history which is on the second floor. The store features a number of exhibits about the library's history, as well as the history of DC. There are also interactive displays that allow visitors to learn about the city's past. Some of the collection was moved to the MLK library a few blocks away to make room for apple. Overall, the DC Carnegie Library is a must-visit for anyone interested in history, architecture, or Apple products. The store is a beautiful and historic landmark that has been thoughtfully restored and repurposed. Here are some of the pros and cons of the DC Carnegie Library: Pros: Beautiful Beaux-Arts architecture Wide variety of Apple products Forum for events and workshops Museum of DC history Cons: Can be crowded, especially on weekends Not as much selection of Apple products as some other Apple stores Overall, I would highly recommend visiting the DC Carnegie Library. It is a beautiful and historic landmark that has been thoughtfully restored and repurposed. Whether you are interested in Apple products, history, or architecture, you are sure to enjoy your visit.

Used to be one of the first library in DC historical place, small but elegant. Second floor is a museum and bookstore. First floor is a contemporary apple store. It is the location is great, near convention center, chinatown, metro station, Marriott hotel, and a lot of cafe. ~Eric

The history of this building is just something fabulous. It's crazy that just three months ago, I found out it was an Apple Store. Definitely took me by surprise. I remember the remodeling. I remember the reconstruction I remembered the refacing of this building. This place is a historical landscape. I am so glad that they put it in the hands of a company that will definitely take care of it.. You can not let our history completely die or tear it down. There is a small visitor center Upstair. I've been to the carnegie museum in Pittsburgh As a child was definitely an experience. You guys have any Time to visit any his places highly suggeste

Love the building. I can’t imagine another retailer doing what apple did. As an Apple Store same as you would expect. The DC museum portion was closed while we were there. Visit the lower level and heck out the history of the space. Very interesting.

The Carnegie Library I visited for Mac service proved to be a reliable and convenient destination for all my Apple-related needs. As a hub for technology enthusiasts and Mac users, the library seamlessly combines its historical charm with modern services, providing a unique and welcoming environment. The service center was well-equipped with the necessary tools and resources to perform a range of Mac repairs. From software updates to hardware replacements, the staff demonstrated competence and efficiency in handling various service requests. The availability of genuine Apple parts further added to the reliability and quality of the repairs performed. The Carnegie Library offers more than just Mac service. It serves as a vibrant community space, with a range of resources and activities to engage visitors. From a vast collection of books to workshops and events, the library fosters an environment that encourages learning and exploration.

The building is beautiful. DC History and an Apple Store. Parking in paid garage or try your luck with street parking. Metro if you can.

The building is beautiful and the staff is very attentive. On the first floor, you will find an Apple store, but on the second floor there are two main exhibits: The Big Picture, with great panorama pictures (before smartphones), and a room with a timeline on DC history. Totally recommend to go and, please, if you love it as I did, leave a voluntary donation.

Look, this is *mostly* an Apple Store now (and a good one with free photography classes, etc.), but it is still a museum and it has a few very good exhibits. My favorite is a large picture in the basement of the immediate area from a plane in 1991 or so. The entire area then was a series of parking lots and crumbly buildings. How far it has come!

This place is now one of the largest Apple stores in the D. C. area. It's the old Dale Carnegie Library which had been turned into an Apple Store. It's one of the D. C.'s landmarks to visit.

It's an Apple retail/marketing store not a 'Carnegie Library'. The DC History exhibit is on second floor and is very well presented and interesting if you happen to find it. The story of the building is apparently in the basement - did not get down there. Bottom line - this building is nice and Apple store.

Beautiful building. As mentioned by others, this is more of an Apple store with a small museum than a museum with a gift shop. On the other hand, the apple store probably covers expenses to make the museum part possible

The wait time was long, but the Apple staff (Kia) was very helpful in resolving our issue of a new cell phone that didn't stay connected to the wifi, and thus, apps were working properly. It took several managers to conversate with and approve, but they allowed us to obtain a new phone, though we were 3 days past the 14 return policy. The cell phone had the tiniest ding on it cause it was dropped that day as we waited to be supported. I'm thankful for their patience and assistance of the staff resolving the issue of the cell phone.

As an Android user (you know this had to be pointed out) I was in freaking heaven! I found myself daydreaming about playing with the phones and wondering how an Apple watch would look Complimenting my Beautiful skin. Because I have too much pride I couldn't allow myself to daydream for too long! . Mental Health Rating: 9 (-1 for the confliction caused🙃😉😀) . Great energy. Great customer service and an amazing atmosphere! I would say parking was ah little challenging, however I was able to find a spot in front of the library so Don't lose Hope You May get Lucky!

A nice place to chill out and take the city in or read a book on the lawn. It's walking distance from almost anything and just a peaceful place to be. My only wish is that they had a covered outside area or something so I can enjoy it on gloomy days as well.

Awesome historic building, now houses a flagship Apple store. However, being preserved by Apple Inc. Worth visiting when in DC

Stopped in to use the restroom and look around. The history of the library is nicely displayed and you can also buy an apple watch...if that's what you're after.

Newly refurbished building that's now an Apple store and history exhibits. The restoration is beautifully done both inside and outside making a light filled open space.

This is a review for the apple store. Poorly managed. Low level of customer service... My reservation didn't mean I received service, several geniuses were free but couldn't help because they were only for "quick sale" customers. When I did get help, they didn't have the phone I wanted in stock. I recommend making a trip to another apple store. There are plenty alternate locations around.

Not really a library review... I was there for the Apple store. It can't get much prettier than this place. I was in and out for an order pickup, but it's always been a pleasant visit. One star off for lack of bicycle parking near the entrance.

Beautiful restored old building. Basement has some interesting historical photos and info about the building and the man who paid for it. There's a cool large photo of a bunch of suffragettes since the library used to be a popular meeting spot due to its proximity to Union Station and the White House. The first floor houses an Apple store. The upstairs was closed when I was there but it houses some kind of niche library that you might need an appointment for or something. If you're a local and passing by, it's worth a pop in, but I wouldn't make a special trip otherwise.
