We have been to this location multiple times. The food is fantastic and the service is good. The worst part is when you constantly make reservations and always have to wait nearly an hour to be seated because they are running behind. What is the point of making and confirming a reservation if they never follow through? The management here is obviously missing the plot. Edit: Added another star simply because Carter and Torie took such great care of us. This location is lucky to have a group of people that truly care and are fantastic with customers.

Waste of money 2 years in a row. I guess I forgot how last year they ran out of everything before 7:30… prime time that people go to dinner. So of course the same thing happened this year. They’re so adamant about giving everyone a rose that they forget to order the correct amount of food to serve their customers. No market fish (scallops this year) no lobster for the Mac n cheese… and paid $28 for some raw salmon on a tortilla chip presented as a “Valentine special” but more like an overpriced appetizer. $10 for each side that would have been included in my meal. Terrible! Ruined my Valentine’s Day for the second time… I’m not coming back and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. On the bright side our waitress was kind and sweet.

We have visited Kona Grill in the Avalon a few times. They have some great cocktails and delicious food! They can be a little pricey but the portion sizes are decent and the quality of food is awesome. We usually sit outside since it’s in a great space with lots to see around it. They have heaters outside as well so you can stay warm on a cooler day. Service is usually pretty good and there is a good selection on the menu for just about everyone. Definitely enjoy eating there and recommend!!

6/8/23: We had a 5-star service last night and delicious food while watching the dancing colorful fountains and enjoying the lively Avalon scenery. Their sushi was great and the Riesling options were fantastic: they let me taste all and choose the one I liked best. 6/10/23 update: I’ve been your customer since 2015. I just called on the phone at 10:27 am on a Saturday to make a reservation and Cara answered the phone. SHE IMMEDIATELY PROCEEDED TO BLOW HER NOSE THREE TIMES while on the phone with me. Cara was blowing her nose into my phone. I was speechless and disgusted 🤢🤮 I asked: “are you blowing your nose?” Cara laughed and said: “excuse me, ha ha ha” I hang up and vomited. I was just at your restaurant this week and left you a FIVE STAR review on Google! This is disrespectful, obnoxious, disgusting, and repelling!

Very convenient. Right at The Avalon, or inside the Avalon, by the skating rink. We came for early lunch. Lobster sandwich serve on lobster lump, smash avocado, and quail eggs sunny side up. That's right quail eggs sunny side up. Oh so delicately 😋 and exquisite taste. Then sprinkle with micro green 💚. Happy 😊. Tomatoes bisque with croutons is good, but a bit... Too ordinary. On the kids menu was Kona pancakes, a cross between muffins and cake, lightly sweet Our server was kind enough to improvise "chocolate", that's not on the menu to put a smile 😊 on our little ones. Basically swirls in chocolate syrup found from the dessert and mixed in with 🥛 milk. The one odd side is the pungent smell of the chorine and vinegar as we were set to sit close to the kitchen. Not quite sure what was going on there. Other than, happy meal.

We came on Friday evening at 5:30 pm. I reserved the table but there was a little wait for 15 minutes before we got to the table. I ordered chicken satay for starter which tastes quite good. NY strip is 38$ the dish came with steak and baked potatoes; stripebass dish (38$) include stripebass fish and pok choy…prices are similar to Stoney River but personally I rate food taste 8/10. There are no breads offered at the beginning of the meals like Stoney River. The restaurant is next to Regal cinema so you can park at the desk or other parking lots and there was a short walk. There was loud music playing at all times. The restaurant was packed with people so we got less attention. We needed something and had to wait for the servers quite long. I gave it a 4/5 because of the wait, food taste and hospitalities. I personally prefer some good restaurants with less noises and better services. I do real estate with VIP services so I see this restaurant needs to improve on that a little more.

It was a busy Saturday night but still had amazing service. The food was so fresh and great portions. The drinks all were delicious. We ordered the rum drink and the blue raspberry lemonade. Food was the pad Thai, poke bowl and the French dip. If you like French dip this was the best French dip ever. The poke bowl was amazing and one of their most recommended dishes. It didn’t look like much but it had so much flavor. Definitely would go again. Lovely outside dinning area with good shade.

Went here with my friends yesterday and it was amazing! Our waitress Nneka was incredible - very attentive, checked in on us a lot, made sure we had everything we needed and overall created a wonderful atmosphere. The food was very delicious, the music in the background was so fun and we will definitely be back!

Jason our waiter was absolutely amazing. We stumbled across this restaurant with plans of going elsewhere. “Something” told me to come in here. I’m so glad we did. The Ribeye meatballs were amazing as well as everything else we ordered. We will be back and I am requesting Jason to attend to our table !

I must say, my dining experience was fantastic! My server Matt was great and the manager Hugo was as well. My highlight was the KG burger!!! I added bacon, avocado and lobster butter sauce and it was hands down the best burger ever!!!!! If you haven’t tried it, what are you waiting for?! I can’t wait to come back and get it again. Thanks Kona!!!

Decided to take my mom here for an amazing dining experience. The service was good but the there was an hour wait time. So we ended up killing the time walking around Avalon and watching people skate on the ice. We decided to order a couple of soups. The sushi was amazing as promised.

Went on a Saturday afternoon with the family. Let me start by saying out server Cassandra was amazing! Very attentive and accommodating. Checked in on us regularly without it becoming overbearing. Wife sent a drink back and she was very gracious and got her another. Started with lettuce wraps which allows you to build the m yourself. We enjoyed it as it oet us determine how much of the ingredients we wanted. Kids had a cheeseburger and bento box which they both enjoyed. Wife and I both had the 10 oz Prime Rib that came with mashed potatoes. Broccoli and green beans on the side. Our meals were absolutely delicious! This is now out go to spot when we want a steak. We highly recommend and look forward to our next visit!

Our waitress Cassandra was super nice, detail oriented and accommodating, great customer service. The food was delicious and we will definitely be back.

It was a beautiful Saturday so two of us decided to grab a bite prior to catching a movie next door. Seems like I've been missing out! It was mid-afternoon and not super crowded so we were seated quickly. We ordered beverages and three items to share: the Chicken & Shrimp Lettuce Wraps (generous serving for two or more - nice and flavorful), the Avocado Egg rolls (they were a little uneventful for me) and the Shrimp Tacos (3 tacos). The tacos were the star as the angry butter, chipotle mayo and Asian slaw had a really nice heat and crunch to them. The young lady that waited on us was helpful in recommendations and attentive throughout our meal. We were too full to get dessert so I'll make another trip in soon to try a few more items, including the Butter Cake!

Really great restaurant in a really great location. The Avalon is a great place to walk around. The vibe at Kona is really great. I ordered the New York Strip with California rolls. What I ordered was pretty good; not the best but good. Service was good. I gave 4 stars because I think it was a bit pricey for what it was. Friend of mine ordered the salmon and loved it!

I love this place. The food is amazing. We ordered the KG sliders, husband had Long Island ice tea, which he said was better than most places he has had them. He had the Shrimp pasta and I ordered the Barbecue chicken flatbread and carrot cake. The food was delicious.

Another delicious dinner at Kona Grill in Alpharetta. We ordered the Avocado Egg Rolls appetizer, and then shared the Crunchy Spicy Tuna Roll and the Cilantro Lime Chicken. All were amazing and generous portions. The Crunchy Spicy Tuna was perfectly balanced and not too spicy. Our server Grayson was attentive and wonderful at suggesting menu items we had not tried before. When you go, enjoy the outside patio by the fountain.

This was my first visit to Kona Grill. Our drink orders were handled promptly but our food took an extended time to be served. They were short staffed in the kitchen and this definitely affected our overall experience. However, once the food was delivered it was very good. I will be revisiting to try other menu options.

In short, AAA. Awesome Food, Awesome Presentation, Awesome Service. Decided very late for dinner and reached here around 11:40 pm. Waiter asked us to get the order in before midnight. Meatballs, Calamari, Shrimp Tempura, Salmon, Ribeye, Cheesecake and over all Wagyu beef, were all superb. Decorated nicely. Wagyu melted in the mouth as soon as our eyes were set on it. Delicious enough that I could not even wait to take a photo. Wednesday night, so late, the chef took his own time to prepare everything. We also ordered Pad Thai but did not like that much. May be with the other items it could not stand a chance.

Great location, good service, decent drinks, however the food could definitely use some improvement! Ordered 2 appetizers. Edamame was way over salted, tasted nothing but salt. Chicken Lettuce wrap was grossly sweet!! Very disappointed.

Smiley was an absolutely wonderful server. Kona grill is amazing but is even. Better because of her. The service was of a Michelin star restaurant. We stop by here as often as possible, and from now on we will always ask for Smiley!

We came here just bc we were shopping into the area and the happy hour selection is everything! We tried the shrimp tempura and the macadamia chicken bites - they were blah; mediocre/ average. We also got the bbq chicken flatbread, the shrimp fried rice, steak meatball fillets, and the hamburger sliders- they were amazing! So delicious and all were in the $6 happy hour menu! I got a frozen Kona margarita it was great and it was on the happy hour menu as well. My husband got the beef short rib entree and it was so tender and delicious. Desiree was the best server in the atmosphere. She took great care of us. Only suggestion: the hostess at the front- black tall young lady with glass- tell her it’s so unprofessional to have AirPods on while talking to customers. It was as if she was bothered by our presence or preoccupied just bc if the AirPods. Only reason I didn’t give 5stars bc we almost wanted to turn around at the door once I saw the AirPod. Bc I figured it would be downhill from there if the hostess is I bothered. But glad we kept going until we reached Desiree. Oh, and we got a dessert too but I can’t remember but it came with ice cream and it’s a must try. Try to sit in Desiree section she will check on you like the waitress at Stoney River and Ruth Chris.

Travel to Georgia to see my niece and we decided on this nice restaurant Kona Grill it is located in a great semi residential shopping district called The Avalon. We waited about 30 min which not bad normally it is recommended you make reservations. I started of with a wonderfully refreshing drink called Patio Bubbles. This drink was amazing I almost opted for another 😄 And then the food came and well it was good but preparation was a bit slack. My daughter order calamari and boy was it over cooked my lawd 😩 you could barely chew it. I have the lettuce wraps they should have been chicken and shrimp but no shrimp was in it. And I prefer fresh chicken only way I have ever had a lettuce wrap but here they used ground chicken but the flavor and spices were good so I ate it. My niece ordered the potstickers which were dry looking and over cooked. We decided not to do entrees. As for the restaurant it was a relaxed inviting atmosphere and clean. The staff was attentive and friendly. I did not like the furniture option the table I was sitting at was vandalized by people carving there names into it. I’m sure the owner or manager may think this is cool but it’s rather tacky for such a nice setting. Over all it was a nice experience but I’m not rushing back. There also another location in my city so I may give them a try just compare

Went here with some friends before a concert. It was a good choice!! We decided to order a few apps and some sushi. The mail soup was great. Will say $12 for one bowel is a little high. Then we had the lettuce wraps and those were incredible! Next was the calamari. It was definitely over cooked but the sauce was great. The first sushi roll, a rainbow roll. Standard roll but well made. Finally the Picasso roll. Now that blew us all away. The service was outstanding! Tomas waited on us and I suggest asking for him. The reason for the 4 stars is the overcooked calamari and the over priced miso soup. I will definitely be back!!

Omg! Amazing place with amazing outdoor seatings beside the fountain and food was yummy. Get the avocado egg roll it was mouth watering. Tried the lemon pasta and friend rice which did not disappoint either. Sara was so friendly and helpful with picking drinks to our liking and always checking on us and refilling water on a summer night. Love her! Must go place!

Destiny was amazing very attentive. She knew exactly which sushi to suggest for our taste. She was quick to bring us everything I need. Gina brought us our food and made sure we had everything we needed before she left. Will definitely be requesting her every time we come. Post dinner drinks with Tiffany were also delicious.

Had a great time with Family. Tables are nicely spaced. The decor is beautiful. The menu is extensive. They have a wide variety of food from breakfast to sushi and hot entrees. I had Salmon with fried rice and soy glazed brussel sprouts. The only issue with food was my fried rice was overcooked / scorched but they happily replaced it. Wait staff is super friendly. Overall a great place and I look forward to visiting again.
