🇸🇾Baladi🇸🇾 Baladi has been the best food experience I have had in Europe . The waiter was so proud to work at the restaurant and offered a very caring service with fantastic recommendations. The dish we chose was the Mixed Chef’s Plate (22.90€) - could not be more satisfied. We asked the waiter if we could sub out the tabouleh for Muhamara and he was able to do so - again, so nice. This dish was flooring with the power of flavors that lived within it. I was craving more and more with every bite. The chicken shawarma was the highlight meat - can’t miss this - and the salad was like if pico de gallo turned into a salad? So light and packed with flavor. Just wow! This is a must visit here in Brussels. Cheers to the team on the great atmosphere, food, and service!

Fantastic! I wish i could give 10 stars! Best experience I had in years!!! These people know their business, they know good food and they know client service! Cannot recommend it enough! Everything was excellent! From service to decoration, kindness and polite and very clear on food info, to music, food quality to leak your fingers after, drinks, ambiance, really i have nothing to complain. Options for all diets, super decent prices and i am gonna go back again and again! Thank you!!

Incredible food! Vegan shawarma is out of this world (seriously, no idea how they make it so tasty 😋). Cocktails are AMAZING! Can definitely recommend the Baladi cocktail. Fair price for Brussels and for the food quantity and quality. Only little issue is that it is sometimes hard to order when upstairs, as staff doesn’t pass by too often.

I was avoiding cauliflower until I tasted Baladi's recipe. The atmosphere of this restaurant is cosy and relaxed , the staff is kind , fast and joyful. We enjoyed all the plates that we ordered. Premium ingredients , well cooked food. The owner , friendly and approachable, is a hospitality expert. THANK YOU

The food is really good, full of deep and traditional flavors. Very colourful and tasty. I recommend the hummus, the beef shawarma and the lamb sausages. However, the service is not the best. We had to wait almost 45 minutes for the dishes, and the waitress didn't know how to explain the dishes or cocktails. Not very friendly either.

A taste of Middle Eastern food but the prices and the portions make it an okeish restaurant. You can skip it and search for a better option around. The recipes are simple. They offer a combination of the usual stuff (hummus, tabbouleh etc…) and some more interesting entries such as Shawarmas. They had 2 or 3 signature cocktails that worth trying. Slow service and not so kind staff. They complained when we asked to split the bill. We are in 2022 and it’s unacceptable that there are still restaurants that are rude to their customers. They probably count on tourists as main target. As a local resident, I would not go again.

Delicious but … The menu says shawarma, but what we got was grilled chicken meat (fajita style). The menu also said the meal comes with bread but it didn’t The drinks are fantastic. The service is not friendly (staff seems to be overwhelmed) No AC despite the heat

A spot with great variety in dishes (vegan, veggie, meat) that are all flavorful, fresh and authentic. The portion sizes are generous, which also makes the price worth it. Everything on the menu is delicious, even the cocktails and the homemade ice teas. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is well-located, nicely decorated and has a cosy atmosphere (with Fairuz often playing in the background). Definitely a favorite in Brussels!

What can I say? Food is on par, if not even better, than all the MENA restaurants I tried in my life (married to a Lebanese woman, I tried MANY Lebanese, Syrian and Palestinian restaurants). Ambience is cozy, beautiful, historical, silently revolutionary. Love it. Service is good as well. Can't say more, I think we were lucky to pass by and give it a chance. Will come back, will bring friends. Thank you!

Not your typical Syrian restaurant Great experience! Besides making you feel home and welcomed, the owners offer delicious food (and it’s such a great value for money), cocktails and plates have their own Baladi touch, making you leave the restaurant wondering about what else they’re gonna come up with to further please your taste buds... Thank you!

Not an expert in Middle Eastern food by any means. But enjoyed my meal here! Ordered the main platter with beef sharwarma and fried chicken. It was nice and balanced. I love the hummus and fried cauliflower in particular.

So good! 😍 My first time visiting this restaurant that I was recommended through my friend. We took 2 cocktails some side dishes and a lamb sausage wrap. Price/ quality is right ☺️ Service wise, it could have been a bit better. As we had the feeling that we were overlooked a lot even though the place was almost empty at the time of arrival. Not actively providing us the menu or asking what we wanted to order or asking if everything was alright and if we wanted dessert/bill or not. Interior was super cute.

Great addition to the Brussels middle eastern casual food scene. Both meat and vegetarian options were good and the halloumi was some of the best I'd ever had! Pretty minimalist food but I wouldn't have minded the addition of more spices to some of the elements!

What a place. Amazing. So glad we stopped here to have food after beer. Bless this place. Don't forget to try lamb sausages (sandwich or plate) and palestinian beer (blonde or dark). So so good.

Easily top 5 restaurants in Brussels. Staff is super friendly and professional. Food is perfect. Location is amazing and the interior design of the restaurant is beautiful, cosy and just perfect in one word. In my opinion the greatest thing they offer besides their delicious dishes is their cocktails both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. A must try Habibi and Baladi cocktail 11 out of 10. I already made a reservation for next week aggain!

This place makes the best Syrian food, and best shawerma in town. I waited for so long to find good Shawerma in Brussels, and finally Baladi is here.

Delicious Syrian restaurant! We tried the beef shoarma plate, the vegetarian chef's plate as well as a dip mix of baba ganoush, muhammara and mutabal, finished off by an assortment of homemade Syrian pastries. The homemade lemonade was excellent as well, and the Palestinian blond beer very refreshing! 10/10, would definitely recommend!

This place has a great ambiance. Small and very cute restaurant. I tried their soup and chef's plate that is a mixed one and everything was so delicious. Also they are making very original ice tea and lemonade that you must try. 👩‍🍳The service and staff was very good. 💶Prices are normal for Brussels' standards. 📍The location is great. 7 mn from the central station and very close to the grand palace.

Small Syrian restaurant in the center of Brussels. The place is nice and cosy and not decorated in a very Syrian style. It looks more like a cute British teashop. The food is delicious, but the wait can be quite long. It is worth it though. The drinks are on the pricey side, but taste good.

Do you ever stumble upon a place by accident, and it ends up being one of your best discoveries? Well, that is Baladi for me! This was my second trip to Brussels. My friend and I were on a mission to find a free and clean bathroom. On our quest, we passed by Baladi. We were instantly captivated by the ambiance that was exuding from the inside. In a haste, due to my very full bladder, I snapped a picture of Baladi so I wouldn’t forget about it. Then I turned to my friend and said with much conviction, “we are eating here tonight!” Fast forward to several hours later, we are dining at Baladi. I didn’t have any expectations. I was simply excited to try Syrian food and I liked the vibes of the restaurant. Boy, was I in for a treat! The staff are welcoming and provide superb service. We were instantly seated and shortly after they came to take our order. Our waiter provided helpful guidance when we failed to be decisive. We received our drinks promptly and within minutes our starter was delivered and shortly after, the main course. What I ordered: Drink = Habibi > I 100% recommend. It was equally delicious as refreshing. Stater = Lentil Soup > I LOVE lentil soup. I can never resist when it’s on the menu. Bladadi’s lentil soup did not disappoint. Main Course = Fried Cauliflower Plate > My mouth is salivating writing this. I have no complaints. Everything on the plate was delicious, the combination of ingredients, the flavors…perfection. If you’re in Brussels, do yourself and me a favor, and check out Baladi!

Simply the best syrian food ever, the "assiettes" with keftas and falafels where amazing, just like the drinks. The personnel was very kind and helped us when we didn't know some dishes, a must in Bruxelles!

Exceptional staff, ambiance, and decor! As an Arab, I’m always skeptical of eating Arab food outside our countries - yet, Baladi makes a kofta that will inspire you to take 30 min trains from anywhere to eat it. Their mix of healthy drinks and alternative teas to Brussels’ overwhelming beer variety is fresh and innovative. While the hummus wasn’t the best there is, it is strikingly creamy and has that umph Syrians add to it, rendering the cuisine here authentic and worthwhile. For 21 €, you can have the sample of everything! The sweets were over the top. Fantastic experience - and worth a visit near the grand plaza.

They have a fantastic array of vegan and vegetarian options. Though the soy meat in my shawarma was slightly overcooked, the rest of the meal was delightful and I found the staff so warm and kind. 👍😁

Very delicious authentic food with special flavors. The waiters, waitresses, and cashiers speak Arabic, English, French, Dutch and even one of them speaks Spanish. The decoration is modern and classic at the same time. Qiet music and nice owner

I went there to try the Shawerma (because it is my favorite syrian street food), and it was the best Shawerma in Brussels so far. But the most amazing thing was that I found tamerhindi (syrian traditional drink), and it was really nice. The dips are super good. I definitely recommend this place, and for sure, I will go again to try the rest of the dishes, starters, and drinks 😊.

It’s my first time tasting middle eastern food. It’s flavorful. I ordered a platter with grilled chicken and lamb sausage. The chicken is delicious but I do not know how to describe the flavor of the lamb sausage. It came with bread which I found it’s the best part of the meal. The restaurant is located probably only 200 feet from the Grand Place. So it could get very busy. The service is okay. A bit slow.

Wow, wow, wow. First time eating syrian food and in love with it. Very tasty. Drinks were a great accent to the flavorful meal. Nor sure if it's family run but had that feel with the staff. Not sure why it's not busier. We walked in at around 8pm and there was no wait, granted we got the last table. Wasn't a fan of the cauliflower (too sweet) but my wife loved it. Definitely requires a result whenever we're back in brussels. Love it!!
