😠 Really rude staff. Poor facilities - only one toilet for about 100 campers in Our section on a busy weekend, it was blocked and not cleaned out the entire weekend. More toilets (approx 4) available in the family campsite but this is a further walk away. The two showers in our campsite were broken... Really rude staff. Poor facilities - only one toilet for about 100 campers in Our section on a busy weekend, it was blocked and not cleaned out the entire weekend. More toilets (approx 4) available in the family campsite but this is a further walk away. The two showers in our campsite were broken and we had to queue to use the only one available in the family campsite. When we asked for some help with our tent we were sworn at and I could hear them talking and laughing about it when I walked away. Very unprofessional. Put us off asking for any further help during our stay. I have a disability so was quite uncomfortable for the remainder of my stay knowing the staff members would not assist with any problems we had. Could be a lovely place if the staff were more professional and had some basic customer service skills.

Great location - a short bus ride or drive into Brighton. Stunning views, which the pitch lay out makes the most of. Fairly basic facilities, but there are warm showers in wooden huts which are something special in the sunshine. Lockers and a charging point are nice touches. Car free camping field which makes camping with toddlers less stressful.

The location was very good. Very rural feeling and little to no noise other than the pleasant sounds of nature. The facilities are 'natural', back to basics style which I liked, but isn't to everyones tastes. Long drop toilets, bucket showers etc. Plenty of hand wash stations and also natural/non poluting products were available for use which was good. Some of the staff (ladies) were very friendly but others were not so good at comunicating, to the point of being a little rude and a long way from firendly or welcoming. The bell tents were not good quality for the fees charged. Having been to a number of glamping sites over the last few years, these were the worst. They didn't come with any basic supplies which other site do provide, regardless of covid which can feel like an easy get out of providing a good service at times. The beds were small, the double bed being too small for me at over 6 foot. The stand out worst thing is that the double bed doesn't fit the small bell tent size. The bed was pushed against the side of the tent which led to it being damp. The whole tent was quite damp and dank. There are much better options out there now, offering superior facilities for similar or lower prices. i.e. Fontmills or Wowo both in Sussex. If you're bringing your own tent and like the natural, basic camping style then this may still be for you. If you're looking for something with a little more comfort or style, perhaps not.

We stayed in an empty bell tent, it was ready and waiting on arrival. They are fantastic value for money and easily fitted myself, partner and our 2 mates in. We found the staff and facilities really good. You just want hot showers and clean toilets. We charged our phones up from a plug from the toilet block and then caught the bus off into town, really recommend getting the brighton and hove bus app its really handy for e- tickets and live times. The staff were super helpful we would defiantly go back.

Stayed at the Secret Campsite near Hastings. Great little campsite, very peaceful and perfect if you want to feel like you want to camp in the wild but still have your creature comforts (there is a loo and hot running water for a shower). The Hosts are great people, super helpful. Don't really understand some of the one star reviews here, this is proper camping - not glamping. We loved it, will definitely be going back and we are taking all our friends!

Stayed at the river site 2 weeks ago, had a wicked time. Went with a couple mates, rented an empty bell tent, which worked out amazing as my other friends struggled with their own tents, mine was ready and waiting for me when i turned up!!! Which gave me time to have a couple cocktails!! Had a pizza too which was really nice! Really great facilities, super clean! which is always a nice surprise when camping! Will be back for sure!!!!

We had a wonderful long weekend at the site near Hastings. The site was amazing and so idyllic. The owners are so friendly and helpful. We went for the bell tent and camping bed option which was bigger that I expected and the camp beds were surprisingly very comfortable (we had a quilt under and a quilt over). The toilets, showers and washing up area are all eco and chemical free, there was always plenty of hot water. You can hire a fire pit and buy logs. We'll be back! Thank you

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Pop-up’s little secret near Hastings/Camber. Everything about our camping experience was fantastic from start to finish. If you are looking for a campsite which offers you a real camping experience with open fires this is the place to go. The pitches are really nicely spread as well which makes it all the more comfortable. Also for anyone camping with adventurous children this is definitely the place to go to. My children loved running around playing games in the woodland, mucking about on rope swings and cargo nets and playing massive games of hide and seek with all of the other children there. I really can not recommend this campsite highly enough!! Make sure you go and see it for yourselves!

We had a fantastic stay at the Woods and Meadow campsite. The facilities are rustic and very functional. On arrival we were greeted by the warden, who was really helpful and friendly. The meadow is truly beautiful. Definitely worth the walk to the New Inn, amazing food, staff and affordable prices. We will be returning!!!!

An absolutely brilliant weekend! From the moment we arrived our hosts Jules and Tizz made us feel incredibly welcome and worked incredibly hard to settle us in and get our tent set up. The campsite itself is in a beautiful secluded spot and given that it was full, didn’t feel at all busy. Toilets and showers were clean and in working order throughout the weekend. Our friends and their families all had a brilliant time. Will hopefully be back. If you’re looking for a fun and friendly camping experience - Jules and Tizz will sort you right out. 😁

What a wonderful stay!! Back from an amazing weekend with my family and friends. We stayed at the Hastings site and it was just beautiful. Set in and around woodland, the children could explore and be free after weeks of being indoors. The hosts were just wonderful and couldn’t do enough for us. Each day they would pop by just to see if we were ok and needed anything which was nice. I had a problem with our bed and the lovely ladies went out of their way to fix it and find a solution. We had our own toilet for our group provided so we didn’t have to share with too many people. Coming out of lockdown we all wanted to reconnect and relax and this tranquil place was just perfect! Thank you for such a wonderful stay we all can’t wait to come back x x x
