My wife and I just returned from a 1-night getaway at BH - a beautiful little boutique hotel. The front desk was very friendly and instructive. Our particular room opened to the outside (code lock and dead bolt) on the first floor and a view of a very well kept courtyard. Each room has two chairs and a small table outside the door which was nice for morning coffee (gratis in lobby, along w 2 gourmet muffins). The room and bathroom were extremely clean. Clearly, a lot of attention was paid to detail in the decorating throughout the hotel. In the room, a small bottle of wine, granola bars, soft drinks in the mini fridge (all gratis), as well as some chocolates and cookies with a handwritten note welcoming us for our anniversary. The bathroom was simple and equally nice, with a very large walk-in shower with Kohler dual rain/hand held shower heads. Fireplace was lovely. We Ubered back and forth to downtown Lake Geneva for a $25 fare/10min (each way). Parking does appear to be very limited, although it was not a problem during our stay. They have a small musical venue (like a large 1-room schoolhouse) a stone’s throw from the hotel. The only con/suggestion: “smooth jazz” played throughout the hotel during regular hours, including outside the rooms starting at 9am. For a place that is music-themed, it was brutal (sorry, Kenny G fans). Overall, I’d definitely recommend BH if you don’t mind having to drive/Uber everywhere and would prefer an elegant boutique hotel experience over paying the same (or a lot more) for a large, crowded, mediocre hotel downtown Lake Geneva.

For our romantic Wedding weekend, we wanted to stay somewhere that gave off elegant energy and the Belfry was just that. Bonus, the Belfry was walking distance to our venue, Boxed & Burlap which worked out beautifully for our family and bridal party. The Belfry, accommodated our family and bridal party with early check ins, late check outs and staff that went the extra mile to make us feel special for our first night as Husband and Wife. The boys in the party utilized the large suite to get ready in and the breath taking backyard was the perfect spot for the groom’s family photos. Thank you for making our stay so special, we can’t wait to come back for our anniversaries to come.

AMAZING get away just a short drive from Chicago. Staff is super friendly & responsive. They have Keurig coffee makers, granola bars, bottled water & bottle of wine in room; all complimentary. Rooms are super nice. Spacious & get very dark. That along with comfy beds sets you up for a fantastic night of sleep. Check out a show at the theater right next door. We loved that we were not in the craziness of downtown Lake Geneva, but only a short drive away Enjoyed playing dominoes in their garden area. Definitely will return.

Beautiful gem of a boutique hotel with stunning rooms and a calming atmosphere. Quiet patio with bountiful flowers adding color to the calmness as you relaxed in the chair outside your room. Delicious homemade muffins for breakfast and a complimentary bottle of wine enhanced the stay. Friendly and attentive staff, all within walking distance to the great Belfry Theater. Have told many friends about this relaxing and fun gem to getaway. We will definitely be back soon.

First the pros - front desk staff was very friendly, the hotel is beautiful. The cons - we opted for the suite with the fireplace - at $270 per night. The room was situated where the roof top air conditioning unit was so it covered the view completely with the bedroom and sitting room and was noisy so we could not open the windows. You were able to see the road from the bathroom and bait shop. Had I known that - I would have never stayed in that room or paid that price. There is also only 7 parking spots at the hotel - all of which were occupied so we had to park on the grass opposite the hotel which was annoying. The restaurant looked beautiful but seriously only a tasting menu? Due to the proximity the hotel is to restaurants I would think it would help to provide a menu with other options. Finally the part time front desk staff was annoying - its like it is a part time hobby and not a business. If your going to charge that much money for a room - you should have the basics like parking. I would have talked to someone instead of writing a review - but noone was there. Would not go there again. Very disappointing as it was our anniversary.

Beautiful boutique hotel! Staff were super sweet and helpful. Impeccably clean. The bed was comfortable. Lots of attention to detail. Our coffee maker in the room would not turn on so when mentioned to staff they offered to bring us French pressed coffee instead and also suggested a fantastic coffee shop that is almost next door. We loved our stay and we will be back.

The Belfry Inn does everything 100% right. From the cozy room, complementary wine, and muffin in the morning, the stay was great as always. Taking in a show at the Theatre after dinner at their restaurant named Opus is a perfect evening!

My wife and I loved The Belfry House. The rooms are luxurious and the staff is great. We were surprised by the complimentary wine and snacks. The rooms are as up to date as it gets. We don't revisit many places but plan on coming back to stay here.

A show at the theater followed by a night at the Inn makes for a perfect evening. This has to be the nicest room and most friendly staff I have ever experienced. Chocolate around every corner, muffins for breakfast, complimentary bottle of wine and a fireplace at the foot of the bed. There was a nice TV but the other amenities meant it was never turned on. We will be back.

From the moment we arrived, we fell in love with this boutique hotel. The front desk staff was so friendly and provided us with all the information we needed. They had baked muffins for us upon arrival. The hotel was so clean and the rooms very well decorated. The attention to detail and all touches they provide are amazing and much appreciated. We will definitely be staying here again.

Perfect visit! Two nights in the hotel…it was beautiful, warm, and the most comfortable accommodations. The concierge AnnMarie was phenomenal and made our stay with her warm hospitality. The theater is next door so perfect for being close. The theater staff was so welcoming. Definitely will stay at the Belfry House again especially if going to the theater. Wonderful relaxing time! Definitely plan to return!

What a lovely anniversary weekend get away, tastefully decorated for Christmas all throughout the entire place! QUIET, beautiful and super clean. The no kid policy is a true winner for us, as we've stayed in other higher end places where kids are out of control running up and down the hallway, and slamming doors or screaming. (abbey, geneva grande, to name a few....!!!) The hotel staff was wonderfully accommodating, Customer service of that quality is so hard to find these days, and the entire staff-everyone- was wonderful. highly recommend, and will be returning next year sometime!
