Gross, stains on AC unit, floors not vacuumed in god knows how long. Eerie feeling in whole building. Window seal not wiped down in months. Everything is outdated. Just feels gross to stay inside. 2 stars because desk lady was nice and I didn’t find signs of bed bugs in my room. Mattress looked new.

I'm not even going to go into detail about the drab look of the place. Which I'm sure someone will say something about renovations. However, that was not advertised and I do no see any renovations. Just a sign that says it's coming. So the place just looks dirty just bc. Also, I chose this place so I can have a quiet place to work. This is a convention center hotel, correct? And to top it off, the pool is closed for the entire month I'm here. Nothing I want while I'm here is happening. And I'm staying for a month!

Complete trash! No a/c in hallways pass front desk. A/c in room positioned at head of bed. Dirty, dank and outdated room. No smoke detector, shower only halfway worked. Wall thermostat low battery. Smh. Breakfast good though

There were floors currently under construction, but yet they still had the other half available to getting booked for guests. Not sure if the pipes busted due to "coldness" or construction workers. Rooms were NOT in a single way close to what they had on their website. I'm a truck driver that doesn't complain over silly things and sleeps in a truck more than my own home but after this visit I was wishing I had my truck or atleast a van with room.

Hotel is way overpriced for what you get. The hotel itself is way past its prime. They are doing some renovations to eventually improve it. However, the rooms are small and dingy. The heater & fridge were very loud. It was not very clean... I tripped on a piece of plywood in the hallway. The hotel was way overpriced. On a positive side of the Clarion the staff was helpful and friendly. Nevertheless, our plan was to stay there three nights while visiting family in the area. After one night with little sleep we left, and went one more exit west on I80 to the Comfort Inn and had a very pleasant experience there for $45 less per night for our remaining two nights!

If I could give zero stars I would. Cindy you’re rude. The night guy your super nice. Thank you! However, the rooms are old, smelly, and outdated. This is not a hotel it’s a motel. It was so disgusting that I was itching. also someone stole my Stanley cup. I know I left it in the room but somehow housekeeping says they didn’t see it. Nevertheless, I’m not shocked that they didn’t return my $50 because of the demeanor in the overall look of the hotel. my advice. This is a place for people who do not have a choice. If you have a choice, please choose wisely.

My son was to stay here for a week for job training. Company was paying for it. He woke up with bites all over him. He couldn't use the shower as it was absolutely disgusting. They was a ball of mold growing behind the toliet. He went down the street and checked into a new hotel and payed out of his own pocket. I can't believe they would even rent out rooms like this. I wish I could attach the pictures.

Booked us a room in a wing under construction without telling us. Front desk lady said it’s fine just walk through the plastic cover over the hallway. Felt like a joke but it wasn’t

I would put a zero star if it was available. This was the first time ever that I was disappointed in a hotel. Was never informed when I made reservations that they were remodeling and under construction. The heat/AC was bad. One minute it was stifling hot then it would be freezing. Then we noticed a cockroach in the bathroom sink. We had to step on an unstable sheet of plywood to get in and out of the hotel. There was no steakhouse/bar that the website said was in the hotel. No amenities were available. No idea where the free continental breakfast was because of the construction. We ended up paying for an Uber to go for dinner and breakfast. I will never recommend this place. Horrible horrible service.

Place looks like a war zone. NO mention when I booked this that the entire place would be torn apart for "renovations," with no food, no drink, no fitness center, nothing but plywood, debris, smells and plastic tarps. Holes in the ceiling over vending machines, chunks of ceiling panels randomly strewn around...they should NOT be open with this level of devastation. NOT a 3 star, I'd have been better off at the Motel 6 next door. Wow. Just. Wow.

Great prices ... the rooms very clean, service by staff sincerely goes out of their way to help, perfect place for meetings, conferences, and training. I would rate even higher but for the pool is naturally closed for the season. The hotel is in a decent location.

Staffs and people are friendly and helpful. Rooms were bigger than I thought. Rooms are clean and it was so easy to find. Parking are great! Comes with breakfast is a plus! Will come back again. It’s really quiet for it to be next to everything.

This hotel needs work. As a truck driver my company uses this to house the employee but it’s the bare minimum. This one was better that the last but … idk I wasn’t pleased but it beat staying in the truck with my trainer for a month. The hotel staff is great and so is the breakfast but the actual look of the rooms and hallways is pretty creepy and the setup of the bathrooms are annoying. You have to open on closed the door just to pee or shower lol pretty ugh because I don’t like everything to touch me. The towels was ok check them before use lol smh

Went to a wedding here and tried to ask the guy at the front desk if I can switch rooms or get a refund because I don’t get any sleep because of all the noise and he said well since your the guest of the party can’t you just ask them? Excuse me it’s your job to help me if I’m asking for help not tell me what you think I should do. There should be security if you’re so damn scared of confrontation. It’s your job not mines. To top it off we’re from Wisconsin so we drove all this way and for what?? To be treated unfairly. Never will come back here again starting my new years off pissed and mad sign a black women.

My stay was 9/5-9/6/2022 Yikes. Blood on my comforter, black mold all over the bathroom and towels, and old, set-in dirt and oil on the shower tiles. This place is very old and doesn't get cleaned well and it shows. I've stayed in two rooms here. Both of them smelled VERY musty and moldy. They're remodeling some rooms right now but really, why even sell these moldy rooms to people in the meantime? Money at all costs. And even more funny, despite how disgusting the room was, I still had to pay an EXTRA $58 for my pet (a HAIRLESS small dog). I won't ever stay here again. The hotels around here are a dime a dozen and you can get so much better for so MUCH cheaper. If you still want to try it, ask to see your room before you pay!

This hotel was newly remodeled and it was very nice for Joliet! The rooms were big beautiful and clean!! The bathroom was very nice and clean! The towels were fluffy and clean! I highly recommend this hotel if you’re staying in the Joliet area!

Good size room, very clean, mostly updated. Now for what drags the overall rating down. No trash cans in the room, fridge was filthy and stunk, only hot water would come from the sink, water in the tub came out brownish for the first few seconds. Other than that it’s a great place. Definitely the best CLC hotel in the area. I will continue to go back just a few things could stand to improve.

We got here a day before our reservation and Jennifer at the front desk was still able to get us a room. She even made a point of trying to make it overlooking the spot where the pool was because our son was sad the pool was gone. The room was spotless and equipped with everything we could want (microwave, fridge and coffee maker). The next morning, at breakfast, (I’m sorry I didn’t get her name) the woman who was working the breakfast bar made a point of talking to people and asking our son if he liked his pancake. Every interaction we’ve had with the staff has been friendly and polite. I will absolutely keep this place in mind if we ever need to stay in Joliet again (and we probably will).

My reservation was for Quality Inn and so I was confused that it said Clarion on outside. At the desk there were signs for both. Got to the room and it was a very chilly 57°. I like cold, but not THAT cold!! I tried to adjust A/C from thermostat and also from A/C directly. I couldn’t turn off blower or even the A/C unit! I know they are remodeling, but I skipped a shower that night. The bathtub porcelain was peeling off. Internet was good and staff was friendly, but they didn’t know how to turn off the A/C either. Hopefully their remodel will upgrade the place.

I was there to get a drink and some wings. I do not drink often, my opinion on the drink is therfore irrelevant in my opinion. I do not have enough experience drinking to have an opinion towards alcohol. The wings where okay. I have had way better but never worse. It's chicken, you have to be a pretty bad cook to f-up chicken to the point it is indelible. Close though.. Now the service, REMARKABLE! It is a lounge where I was. The staff for me to give them praise could possibly take the rest of my day. The staff was not over-bearing. I am not a social person, this is something that at times I can be hyper sensitive towards. How ever I felt that they where prompt and observant as well as friendly. The staff is what made this entire experience. I would go back for that alone.

Very friendly. Front desk is nice and the restaurant is pretty good. Great location. Only small complaint, laundry room only have 1 washer and drier and no business center with computer.

Maybe it will be better after the remodel but my room was nasty. Air conditioning barely works. Always hot in the room. I was supposed to be there for 2 weeks but only slept there 2 nights and left my bags in the car so my stuff wouldn’t stink. The odor in my room was awful. They gave me some spray but it just made it smell like chemicals. Pool isn’t operational. It’s a construction site. My shower was nasty. Felt like I needed to wear water shoes to take a shower. I checked out and left. Just awful. Worst hotel I’ve stayed at probably ever. Went down the highway to a way nicer place for the same money.

Stayed here for 1 night as we’re traveling across the country. Breakfast is great! Room is clean and bed is comfortable. However, we can tell that there was a dog peed in the carpet and I think they tried so hard to get rid of the smell. But it didn’t bother us much as the smell fade went ac turned on. So far, everything is good!

This place is being renovated and is a dump right now. Couldn't even find my room because the room numbers are on the floor and some were tipped over. I also tripped over a piece of plywood that was placed under the carpet and bulging with no sigh. Very unprofessional to rent rooms when the hotel is in this disarray.
