Food was excellent! The wife had a taco and I had the steak burrito we split an order of chips and guacamole also some salsa. Everything was very good. I don't usually like when places put rice IN burritos but it was good. I don't see the point other then to make it look bigger. To me its cheaping out just to make it look bigger without using the steak that was ordered. Just charge more and use the steak!!

Love this place, this time I tried their Pozole it was Awesome!! Great flavor, and great balance with ingredients. Of course it comes with a side plate of cabbage, radishes, and diced onion. I also got a burrito filled with Pollo (chicken), beans, lettuce, and sour cream. The burrito was enjoyable however, it lacked a little bit of flavor in the meat. Staff and atmosphere were lively, and inviting. If you're looking for authentic hispanic dishes definitely Campestre's is worth your time & money.

I enjoyed a lovely Mexican dinner with my wife the food and service was very gracious. I definitely enjoyed the variety of salsas that they had from different levels of spiciness. It had great authentic food no homemade tortillas but the sauces were for sure made from scratch. We also tried a couple of their drinks Horchata and Jicama. It seemed to be a small place but they actually have an upper level that has more tables. With the great flavor looking to go back and try new things.

Campestre was easily the best Mexican we've had in the area. We've been to several looking for a place that had good food and good service. Even if you ignore the mistakes other restaurants made this was the best we've had here. On top of better tasting food the service was worlds better. I don't expect the wait staff to speak perfect English at an ethnic restaurant, but they should be able to answer questions about the food and take an accurate order. Our waitress here was knowledgeable and easily answered our questions and got our order correct the first time. The only negative I can say is that they didn't check up on us very often, but at the same time we didn't really find that we needed anything between visits. We will definitely be coming back here next time we want Mexican.

This place was good. Went here for a birthday lunch. I was a bit worried when we first walked in because the place seemed deserted, but every dish that came out was good. For context, I have been to three Mexican restaurants in Round Lake/Round Lake Beach area so far: Rancho Nuevo, Lomeli's, Los Comales and here. All of them were pretty good, but I would say Campestre has been the better of them all.

We ordered steak and shrimp fajitas, I son and I both have allergies against peas we asked the waitress Rice had peas in it she said no But when I came to the table there were peas in the rice we were quite upset she did take it back and bring us new plates My son however they gave him the same plate just wipe the rice off and put beans in its place. I don't think they understand allergies can widely kill somebody If not taken seriously. We like beans and rice together on our plates however at this place we would not be able to get it they're beans look like they were mixed with them they were extremely white I had never seen refried beans like that before. I would suggest if you're going for margaritas this would be the place to go the fajitas Great just skip the beans and rice take my word you'll thank me later.

Was my first ever visit...the Conchitas were awesome!!!! So were the Cameron's and my boyfriend Loved the cesina tacos...our favorite part was Molly..So gracious, So kind and the best ever server...Thank you all !!!! From cook to bottle washer...looking forward to another visit very soon!

Excellent food and service. The 3 different salsas they bring out are amazing and one of a kind. My tostadas and tacos were incredibly fresh and they allowed me to make changes so my food was vegetarian. Aside from the complimentary chips and dipping sauces, you also get a cup of homemade soup!
