Nice full service restaurant with a bar and awesome outdoor deck facing Fox Lake. Food and service were great. Since the restaurant is set on the lake front, you have to drive down a long road though a residential neighborhood to get to it but it's not hard to find.

This is the first time I've been there and I am glad I found out about it. The fishfry was delicious and it's all you can eat on Friday. The service was excellent and the view was great. Reservations are accepted and they give veterans a discount too!

Beautiful place to come over summer and sit outside right on the water. Delicious food and decently priced cocktails.

This place is fantastic, the food is very good and the service is on it. I love the Friday fish fry and on Saturdays they have jambalaya, my husband's favorite! I love French Martini's and she makes them perfectly! Rhonda is awesome and typically our server, but they have others that are just as good! Patty and Vince are the new owners and they did a great job in turning this place around!

This is the third or fourth year my family has celebrated Father’s Day at Fairmont Shores enjoying an excellent brunch, great staff and great view of Fox Lake! My wife and I have enjoyed their famous meat loaf stack during the summer. This is a great family friendly restaurant which I highly recommend!

We come here almost everytime we're on the Chain. Excellent food, very reasonable prices. Southwest Avocado BLT is delicious. Mango Shrimp salad special is wonderful also. Meatloaf Stack is huge! Beautiful view from the deck overlooking Fox Lake.

The view of Fox Lake-wow. The food-delicious. And the service-super friendly and helpful. A great lunch today (and the best Arnold Palmer I’ve ever had). If you are in the vicinity of Fox Lake, you should definitely make this your destination for lunch or dinner.

I would not recommend. Had to Wait over an hour and 20 minutes for 2 burgers and a meatloaf platter,. And I’m not the only one. There are two tables beside me that have been waiting for food just as long as me. If a friend wasn’t treating for dinner I’d settle up on the bar bill and leave. Friendly waitress, was attentive and when asked about the order several times she was polite and said the kitchen orders were backed up. The owner who is supposedly on location isn’t making the rounds apologizing or anything. When the order came out it was messed up. Waitress was nice and took the one messed up order off our bill but based on the wait time for food I don’t think I’d go back.

This place is a gem. I can't believe i've never heard of this place. Very good food. Pricey but good portions ($75 for what you see in the photos. Ordered 2 ML only 1 Daiquiri) . The brushetta (8 pieces) is AMAZING. Our Waitress was very attentive and had great suggestions for drinks and dipping sauce for my sweet potato fries.

At the moment you step in that place the personel give you an agreeable feeling. Very warm team, it is a lovely place to go out with your friends or with your date. Excellent cuisine, creative chief cook and stuff, reasonable cost and courteous service. Highly recommended.

Service was great, servers were really nice, food came out quick but it wasn't as good as it used to be over the summer. Kids menu was expensive, hot dog or chicken nuggets were $10.

I really enjoyed my overall experience here. The host was pleasant and had a warm welcoming. We checked in, was given a waiting device but wasn't told how long the wait would be. No biggie, didn't think much of it. We grabbed a few drinks at the bar and waited outside at the sand by the lake. We waited about 45 min or so in total. The waitress was friendly, suggestive, and quick with service. The food came out quickly which was nice. I enjoyed my Carolina ribs. They were tender and the sauce was pretty good. Wife enjoyed her coconut shrimp, the chicken tenders were pretty good and my mother in law liked her salmon 😋 Definitely a place to visit but be sure to Google your way there, it's definitely hidden deep in a residential neighborhood.

I came here with my parents for Sunday brunch as the food was absolutely fantastic as well as the service as we will most definitely be returning to this place for more.

Love this place. This was my buddy's favorite restaurant as a kid, and it continue to not disappoint over 20 years later. We used to come here for the wings back in high school. I feel like the quality may have actually gotten better than it was back then, which is a near impossible thing to say. The food seem fresh and cooked that day. Not like many other restaurants, specifically chains, that tend to serve what is obviously something frozen than warmed up again. This isn't a regular menu item, but their Fried Chicken when available is amazing. They also make a killer rack of KC style ribs. It's nice, clean, not too busy and right near the lake. What more could you ask for? They are quick and friendly too. Me and my wife love taking our kid here.

Truly a fantastic place on the water!!! Our son claims it's the best chicken tenders and fries he's ever had. Overall, great consistent food and friendly, attentive service. Stopped here on a night with live acoustic set from a local musican (perfect volume to still carry on a conversation) which made the experience a 10/10. Highly recommend!!!

Second time visiting before reviewing cause I wanted to make sure. It’s a very lovely space off of the lake with great unobstructed views. I sat out on the patio and had EXCELLENT service by Angie even though she had a full deck. The owner lady was out there pitching in as well and she was just as wonderful and attentive. I’ve had the Cobb salad both times I’ve been here and have been happy with portion and flavor… but it’s a salad sooo 😂 It’s a great patio space , good location, and great service. And girls… the bathroom is 👌 they even have sunscreen in there which I think is a great sign of good ownership.

This hidden gem has been an important place to me for almost 30 years. If you are boating on the chain it's worth a visit. If you are driving be mindful and patient with parking. It's worth the wait. I highly recommend the Friday fish fry, it's all amazing. One of my family members raves about the hush puppies. I love the fish.. The bartenders, waitresses and kitchen staff bust their butts and it shows. The inside has been remodeled recently and still has its original charm in tact. Well worth the trip if you haven't been here.

We had dinner there yesterday overlooking Fox Lake. The menu is filled with a variety of home style "comfort" food items. Two of us had the meatloaf stack and it was just great. Others had a chicken wrap and hamburger. Everyone enjoyed the food and service. Highly recommended.

The food made up for the bizarre atmosphere. Seems like it's permanently half renovated, with updated bathrooms and deck but the main area inside and the outside look the opposite. Not wheelchair accessible (as far as I could tell, the only way is up stairs). The food was pretty good, the bruschetta is raved about and it's good but very americanized. Service seems chaotic but was relatively quick and good. It was nothing more than an alright experience.

I had the worst experience at this restaurant and will never return. My review today is to inform other people of color that you may be treated differently because you aren’t white. I took my wife to lunch after she got off work for a few drinks. We got to the restaurant and we asked to be seated outside. The hostess sat us and let us know our server would be with us shortly. We were approached by Rhonda and she asked for our drink order, my wife ordered her drink but I needed more time to decide so she left to get her drink. I’d say it took about a good 7-9 minutes for her to bring the drink back. I then gave her my drink order and we asked for nachos as our appetizer, she then walked off without asking us what we’d actually like to order for our lunch or even giving us an opportunity to ask for anything. Rhonda then continued to serve EVERYONE else in the restaurant except us. As a Black/Hispanic man in a predominantly white area, this started to feel like I was purposely being ignored. She finally dropped off our nachos and walked off! Never once asking if we needed anything or trying to actually provide any type of service. We then kept trying to get her attention because clearly she was more interested in serving all of her other patrons. I finally flagged her down to ask for our check and she just walked off and did acknowledge me. We then walked into the bar area and she said without even making eye contact that ” he a (Hispanic male bartender) had our tab and would check us out”. I was extremely irate and said I wanted to be checked out now because clearly I’m being refused service because I’m brown. The Bartender then tried to correct the situation by offering to wave our bill. I asked him to charge my card so we could leave. We then came home and my wife called the restaurant to speak with the manager. She got on the phone with Erin ( the manager) to inquire if this was acceptable behavior and to let her know how her staff’s behavior affects the way we will always remember our experience at this restaurant. Erin then told my wife that Rhonda did not make me feel like she was discriminating against me because I’m not white. Erin, you don’t get to explain how your staff made someone else feel. It was very clear how she wanted her nonverbal communication to come across to us, message received. Erin then offered to buy us some drinks to apologize to us. That’s not what we are looking for. I’m actually not looking for anything from this restaurant! You made me feel uncomfortable and unwanted.

This place is my preferable place. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to that place. everytime I want to go to a proper supper, this restaurant comes instantly to my head. superb and all kinds of food and a large list of dishes.trained staff members, and great ambience. Also, the cost is reasonable. I sent my friends to this place with no hesitation.

Pretty big portions of food and drinks. Was bummed we weren’t able to sit outside because bees were really bad. They also don’t allow any substitutions on food which is frustrating. Server said they’d ask but they didn’t do it.

We were lucky enough to have our entire family of 13 for dinner this afternoon and it was fantastic. The food was good and the views were beautiful. Our server Berto was just so attentive and did an outstanding job. He really made the experience great. Thanks Berto!

We have been here numerous times over the past 10+ yrs. stopped in tonight and were told it would be a 2 hr wait because of Covid-19 and they couldn’t accommodate any more seating outside as they were only allowed to have 25% occupancy outside. We will not be returning until restrictions are lifted as the governors orders are void and do not need to be enforced.
