Hawk Hollow Dog Park

Dog park

👍👍 This is one of the best off-leash dog parks around. They have several fenced areas for small and large dogs, and one extra large fenced area that includes a mile loop trail. A great place to exercise your dog and yourself! They have portopotties and dog bags. Bring your own water bowl. Large fenced in area for all dogs. Great place to enjoy the outdoor time with your dog and watch many different breeds and sizes play together.

Small fee for annual membership through Dupage County. $50 1st dog, $10 2nd dog. There are two rotating Large Dog Areas, a Small Dog Area and a huge open walking path (completely fenced in). My girls love it here. I am sad we didn't become a member sooner. On the negative side, there is no water source or shading and limited seating. Would like to see a gazebo or shelter or some sort and more picnic tables in the play areas.

The colors are changing so this makes for the most scenic route and very calming walk path along side with my dog. Different sizes of walk paths makes it where you could take a short walk or a very long walk. Love it definitely one of our favorites.

Absolutely love this dog park! There are three main parts to the park. First there is a small fenced in area for small dogs and there is a sign saying that your dog must be under 25lbs to play in that area. Secondly there is two larger fenced in areas next to each other for all dogs to come and play in. There is no weight restrictions on this side and the smaller dogs are more than welcome to run with the big dogs. My only warning is that the large dog areas are only rotated yearly, so expect to see a beautiful field that you won't have access to. Lastly there is a large off leash trail that is fenced in with tons of creeks and tall grasses for your dog to run through. There are warnings in the summer about coyote areas since it is a large park. Hope your dog loves it as much as mine does!

Beautiful park all year round. Long walking paths fenced in for your doggo to have fun off leash. There's also fenced in wide open fields with picnic benches and even an area exclusively for small dogs. Really starts to feel like a warm community after you've been there a couple times.

I'm not sure why my earlier post was removed warning park goers of car break ins. It's was for public safety purposes. I love this dog park and go often. But in August my car was broken into (found out it has been happening for quite a while). A week later I heard another car was broken into. I now circle the lot looking for anyone sitting in their car watching for a target; saw a guy last week with his sun visor down on cloudy day and hiding his face with his hand when I drove by. When I drove by a second time slowly to get the plate number, he left. Make sure you do not leave valuables in your car! County refuses to install security cameras even tho there are regular break ins and, recently, aggressive dog owners (some dogs really need to keep their owners on a leash). Newer visitors are rude, aggressive, do not pick up after their dogs, feel they are exempt to permits, and allow their bratty kids to run after dogs (dangerous!) and hang from young trees breaking many branches. Some people take their dogs' collars off so if there is no way to grab their dog if needed (I've seen this happen several times). Common courtesy and common sense can make this the best park ever for everyone!

This is a wonderful off-leash dog park. There are also a few different fenced in dog parks within the off leash area. The poop bags at this facility are the best I've ever used, which is just a side note, but also makes the experience more pleasurable. I would say that the outer circle is about 3/4 of a mile, so you can actually get a pretty good exercise with your dogs off leash.

A great place for your dog to run, play, and meet new friends. Obvious care and thought in it's planning makes good use of the expansive acreage. The walking path is meaningfully long and varied. The fenced exercise yards are 3 to 4 acres each, more than 100 yards in each dimension. We especially like the constantly evolving play groups that form, growing and shrinking as walkers encounter each other on the paths and in the exercise pens. A real gem among the great parks in DuPage County, making best use of public funds and allotted land.

My dog *loves* the off-leash trail. He runs through the fields chasing birds. This is a great dog park with separated fenced-in areas for small and all-sized dogs. Make sure you bring water for your dog!

Nice dog park, and like most of the parks, it lacks shade. During the summer, if you're heat sensitive, arrive early or later in the day to avoid the scorching sun. It's never overcrowded. On rare occasions, you can see coyotes or deer running in the adjacent field.

Have 2 larger and highly active dogs. Plenty of room for these guys to RUN! Loop seemed about a mile around. I did 3 and dogs did 2 to 3 times that. Finally returned home and dogs were tired than asking; "Can we go again?" Had an area for smaller dogs and a field for retrieving. I would in summer visit later in the day as no significant tree cover. If heading out mid-day (in summer) would probably head to Blackwell.

I'm so happy my friend had recommended this off-leash dog park to me! I like the fenced area for small and large dogs and it connects to a fenced trail path where you can also have your dogs off-leash!

Perfect walking area... The doggos can race around the grasslands while you walk the trail.

Huge playpens! There's even a separate pen for small dogs. There's a mile worth of graveled pathway and great fellow owners to hang out with. I've been bringing my dog here, twice a day, for the past month (July). I've been to two other off-leash dog parks (Beck Lake in Des Plaines and East Side Sports Complex in Saint Charles). Hawk Hollow is, by far, the best one. No water to play in, but there are a few muddy areas that can be avoided if you stay alert to their locations, but not a big deal. My dog is very well-behaved after his visit! Beautiful park and well-maintained! Here are some things to love: 1. There is a gravel path that is about a one-mile circuit around the park. 2. Two active pens: one for small dogs and BIG one for all dogs. 3. The entire park is fenced in with separate gated entrances for each pen and the path. The main pen is also accessable from the path. 4. Opens at 7am. Closed one hour after sunset. 5. The people here are ok and 50% love for their dogs to play with yours! 6. There's usually plenty of dogs for yours too play with during peak hours. 7. During off-peak hours you might find that you and your companion have the entire park to yourselves! 8. The SUNSETS are amazing here! 9. Porta potty on site! And clean! 10. Poop-bags (for the dogs) are provided! The annual permit fee is $50 (resident of DuPage). You may add your other dogs for an additional $10 per dog. There is a reduced rate later in the year. The fine for entry without a permit is $75 and the authorities do random checks often. There is also a $75 fine for not picking up your pooch's poop.

My dog loves this place! Lots of other dogs and a great place to walk for the people. You start seeing a lot of the same dogs If you go around the same time of the day.

Dog loves this place. Fully fenced, If there was a weak spot she would have found it by now. 2 or 3 separate smaller dog park areas in addition to the large prairie area. Always seems to be a good group of dogs here. Buy a permit or day pass online with Dupage County or you will be at risk of getting an $80 ticket. We come in from the city once in a while and it’s with it for a $20 day pass for us. I believe its $10 if you are a resident of the county
