Sign at beach say non residents need to purchase temp. parking pass at village hall. Inquired at village hall. Was told stopped selling them years ago. That I could park at the Metra station. I am a senior citizen and am disabled. I have difficulty walking long distances. I also live in unincorporated lake villa. I was told flat out there was nothing she could do. They seem to have no consideration for senior. Beach and area was nice was a b day party for my grand daughter.

Beautiful park with wonderful views of Cedar Lake. I took off 2 stars because the police will hound you for simply driving through. This park is only for residents of Lake Villa proper. So if your address has 5 digits, you are not welcome here and they make that abundantly clear.

Always a great place to take the kids swimming. Residents can park in the parking lot, non residents can park on the street or by the Lake Villa restaurant. We recommend everyone visit!

Fun for the kids to be able to play at the park and beach all morning. Shaded picnic tables under oak trees. A little old/run down though and parking is a total bummer; only Lake Villa residents WITH sticker can park in the lot (this is strictly enforced), but street parking is VERY far away, and even that is restricted to businesses. (Unreasonably far if you have kids, a stroller, carrying anything, really). You're better off paying or travelling to another beach if you have young kids with you. (I highly recommend Lake Front Park on Lake Shore Dr. in Round Lake Beach--beautiful park!)

Great little beach on cedar lake. Very clean and well kept and the swimming area is very nice. They have a playground right on the beach, a few grills for use, restrooms, a pavilion and volleyball court. The parking lot is only for residents with a valid sticker. However there are a few spaces that allow 2 hour parking and then there is the metra station that has paid all day parking.

Great free beach. Playground for age 5+ my 2 year old was flying off the slides a bit more extremely than shes used to. Parking is posted for locals only, not sure where to get the parking pass if your not a local. We parked 2 blocks away and walked. Water is shallow and clean enough.

Cute little Park for Christmas lights. It's free. Great for small kids that you just want to give them a light experience without breaking the bank. It is all walkable.

Love living by this quiet beach. Wish the members club portion was still open. You do need to be a Lake Villa Village resident to park here. Stickers are free at Village Hall with proof of residency. A portion of residentd property taxes maintains the park. Pic of one of the several American Sycamore trees on property.

Awesome place to fish! Haven't been there in years and just recently stopped by. Watched some guys catching pigs. They said everyone parks down the street (no sticker required) and ice fishing is incredible.

Very disappointing for a culver'. The hamburger was cold. The cheese was just thrown on the top and wouldn't even begin to melt. The bun Was was dried out. The only thing that saved this lunch for me was the Slaw I won't be going to this venue again . I like Culver so will find another location

I basically grew up in this park! I moved away from Lake Villa in 2007 but I often drive through just to reminisce. Someone posted that the police hound you if you even drive through the park. I have never experienced that. I know the place is residents only but I still stop by. My mom and dad's names are on the plaque at the base of the Centennial Clock so I stop by to take a peek. I will sure miss Lake Villa Days because when I was a kid it was THE event in Lake Villa. The rides, the water fights, Bingo called by Effinger's Hardware family and someone always saying "Ham or a Bacon" on the loud speaker. Times change but not always for the better!! The Summer Celebration is very nice though. Maybe the village can incorporate some more fun stuff for the kids in the future at the Summer Celebration.
