I've been to many Popeyes in the USA and some in Canada and the one in Round Lake is the best one in North America. It's clean, service is fast and they turn over so much food that it's always fresh and hot. They stay close to the original flavors and consistency. The chicken tastes good. The biscuits are baked well. The rice tastes clean and has the right texture and the red beans are not too thin and usually have the right flavor. Worth going to if you're looking for a good Popeyes.

This location NEVER fails me! They are always polite and personable. I always receive my food piping 🔥 hot and my family loves it. Once again I drive to this location from the Antioch area and by the time I get home it's still very hot...love, love, love! Additionally this location has awesome coupons. I've posted before and I'll post again as choosing where to spend your coins matter! We need to keep these restaurants alive especially the ones that work so hard at customer satisfaction and truly deserve your business.

Haven't been to Popeyes in a while and I was dissapointed with my first visit back. The tenders where thin.. as in the chicken was the width of my pinky finger. I had more breading than chicken for lunch. The tenders were also stale, but I came after lunch around 3pm.

This is now the third time they have forgotten a side of mine. I live near(and didn’t want to start the car and drive and waste gas) and decided to walk back to get my side dish that was forgotten and I try and go inside and the doors were locked before 10pm which said they close at 10. I don’t have a car because I chose to walk so I was humiliated and had to walk through the drive through, where I had to prove my order, and asked to talk to the manager as to why they closed before they were supposed to and not once did I get an apology. The manager was so rude. This location has bad customer service. The convenience just isn’t worth it. The last time they forgot a side dish and I never even received that.

Drive through worker was exceptionally rude to my father, a senior citizen. Horrible customer service, an employee should NEVER tell a customer the words "I don't care" He cared enough to say he could barely hear my dad and cared enough to whine when my dad spoke up saying "now you're too loud, loud as Hell." Very unprofessional behavior, he sounded like he was on drugs too. Management needs to talk to workers and teach them basic customer service skills and maybe also invest in better headsets.

Wasn't happy. Under all the batter were really small pieces of chicken. I felt like I didn't get my money's worth. Will be trying KFC next time. They also put jalapenos in the mashed potatoes. Not all of us like peppers in our food.

So glad to see that they brought back the Cajun Rice. Not happy the way I was forced to eat it. Generally, a drive-thru, is for eating on the go. This is how I was forced to eat my rice with a chicken sandwich. WITH THE LID! No fork, no spoon, not even a spork. Your employees need to pay attention to customers needs. I expect better service from $15 hr. and so should you!

Absolutely disappointed, I went through the drive through on 11-6-23 and was excited to order tender family meal and a spicy chicken sandwich. To get home and see that the fries was under cooked and looks different from the way they normally make them and my tenders to be majority of small pieces and fried breaded batter with no chicken. Chicken sandwich didn’t have much sauce,They will never get my money again.

This marks the very 1st review for a Popeye's and this location is truly the best around, at least any location within a 20 mile radius from my house in Beach Park. This past May was the 1st time in at least 2 years dining here but I can see how my folks love this location compared to any other location in Lake or Kenosha County. It's kept ultra clean/sanitized, food is always hot & fresh and obviously tasty and the customer service is top notch. The Waukegan location which is the closest to where I live is the absolute worst I've been to. Keep servin' up that delicious grub and I'll gladly come back and visit for more!

Just was at this location and it was packed per usual but had to leave them this review from the girl who took my order and repeated it to me to the young man that gave it to me at the window they did amazing and with a smile. Asked for Louisiana sauce and he was not stingy with it. The food as always was good! 👍🏼👍🏼

I call this superb place every couple of days as I enjoy the good air that is exist in this place. The staff is exceptionally cordial and well trained. The service is extraordinarily quick. Not to mention, the food they cook is excellent. I came many times and I was always joyful. The expense is reasobable. I highly recommend this place to my friends and family.

I never had a complaint about popeyes at other locations. Just this location I moved to Round lake 2 yrs ago and bought chicken here multiple times and each time same thing but I blew off complaining until last night. Why in the hell do you over cook the chicken??? So much so the dark meat is even dry!!! You do it all the time. Are you adding more time for a reason. Because when bought at other places its different. It juicy! The red beans and rice are too thick also. I do not understand why?? I'm gonna start going to kfc again because I'm not gonna waste my money here anymore.

I love the Popeyes in Round Lake. I drive to Round Lake from Lakemoor by 120 and 12. I think I think they are superior to any other Popeyes around here including Crystal Lake and McHenry. As they used to say in the old Dunkin' Donuts commercials it's worth the trip. I know the new name is just Dunkin'. They took the Donuts off cuz basically they all aren't worth eating.. Just an opinion

This restaurant has consistently improved. The staff is very polite, they honor coupons. The spicy chicken is always good. Only a few occasions where it wasn't right, I returned or call and they resolved the problem. The sides are great. I especially love the fact that they have home style Mac & Cheese. Great service! I changed the order last minute and they got it correct! One of the best drive-thru experiences I've had. And of course the food is delicious!

Ever since the chicken sandwich madness I want to say they are still busier than they used to be prior. Every now and then I'd crave their spicy chicken sandwich so I'd make the trip over. Their drive thru line is usually long during lunch and dinner hours but usually moves quickly. If on the rare chance I have time to dine in, their line again is usually long inside. Their is nothing exciting about dining in. Just sit down and eat your meal haha. Food here is all about the fried chicken. That's what they specialize in and I know some people go for their shrimp but I ask them why? Maybe because it's cheap but I wouldn't trust that peewee fried shrimp over fried chicken. Add their mash and/or fries and you have a delicious fast food meal that your doctor for sure will notice when you go do lab work next.

Corporate must have gotten on them as the last few times I have eaten Popeye's the chicken was good even when manager Maria is there. Hopefully they don't return to re-dropping the chicken.

Popeyes chicken is the shiznit and this location GETS BUSY AT DINNER TIME I was in line for awhile unexpected but next time I'm ordering off the app. Much faster when I preplan the meals. I love mashed potatoes and nuggets.

This place is always super busy. The service is fast. The food speeks for itself. I always go for the spicier fare.

We went here for the first time and loved the food. Plus, we were pleasantly surprised at the value compared to their competitor. Staff was friendly. We'll be back.

I know people always complain about Popeyes restaurant but the Round Lake Beach location has consistently always been great. Online ordering is so fast and easy. And the workers are always friendly and prompt. I typically do drive through to pick up my meal but occasionally have gone inside and the restaurant always appears to be clean and again the employees are friendly and helpful.

Everytime I come here I am amazed how hard and efficiently they work. My favorite Popeye's to go to!

We have a Popeyes within 2 miles from where we live. Also other locations within 5 miles. We stopped going to them when we discovered the ROUND LAKE BEACH location. By comparison, the food is fresher, the chicken pieces are larger ( especially the breast portions.) Always get hot chicken right out of the fryer mainly due to the volume of business they do. And the place is always kept cleaner, compared to other locations we have visited (very important with COVID 19). All in all, it is well worth the much longer drive to be sure of consistently getting the best quality. I don't usually don't rate "fast food" places (5 stars) but in this case, they deserve it. !

People its Popeyes need I say more. Get your spice level and pick either spicy or mild bone or tenders. Go home add honey to your biscuits with a side of slaw. Amen. Enjoy.

I don't know what they're doing back there but this has to be hands down the best Popeyes location by far. I love popeyes and have visited dozens of locations but this one is a cut above the rest.

Decent chicken. Better than KFC if you ask me. The drive-thru is usually busy at dinner time but moves quickly.

Chicken was as expected, delicious, crispy. The place was clean including the drink area. Came in later in the evening only to find out the place had run out of spicy chicken. The food was hot, well prepared. The line was fully staffed. The wait was anywhere between 5-10 minutes.

Ordered ahead and picked up inside. COVID safe. Chicken was as good as ever. The chicken sandwich both regular and spicy were great. They come in a nice little insulated back that keeps them hot.

This Popeyes has never ceased to be fantastic. Even with long lines they are fast, and the food is hot and fresh. The spicy chicken sandwich is the perfect blend of flavors. The meat is both tender and juicy, enveloped in a crispy breading infused with Cajun spice. The bread provides a semi-sweet counter flavor to complete the package... Alright, I need to stop eating here so often!

Way better then KFC. Not as greasy as KFC. I feel like I've had an oil spill in my stomach after KFC. Popeyes is very clean and fast. I notice the same employees working here for a long time. KFC employees are lethargic and novices by comparison.

Their chicken is pretty good. But, the last few times we used their drive through it was kind of bad service. The one girl cashier drop our drink & made a mess. She took quite awhile to clean up. There was another clerk trying to mop up her mess. Whenever you order you here the other staff yelling so loudly in background when we were trying to order. Wish they were more friendlly & speak clearly on the speaker. The lines in drive through are too long!! Need to remodel their tiny parking lot! Thank you.

Sorry for the late response. First time visit at this location. Out for lunch. Drive thru was busy. Decided to go in to place my order. Once I was placing the order, the cashier was rude by just leaving to check on something without saying excuse me. Then to find out there was no shrimp available for my combo. 2 tender and shrimp. So just ended up getting the tender combo. The wait time was unbelievable long. 10+ minutes for the food. The amont of overhead, 11 employees that I counted at this time. With that being said, I felt like the service and the wait time wasn't satisfactory.
