Wow, I see a lot of 3 and 4 star ratings. I would give no stars if I could. Unless they have made real strides to clean the joint up. It was probably the dirtiest restaurant I had ever been in. I haven't been back and won't go ever again. Un sanitary conditions to be sure. I would stay away from the salad bar for certain, yuk!

Food was ok. Not bad but not Stellar. Waitress was flaky and forgot stuff. Onion rings were gross. Drinks were Amazing!

The food is great and servers pleasent. The salad bar is and has always been a mess. It's real appetising seeing kids putting there fingers in everything. If you need a salad order it from the menu

the food was good but the outside of the place was so dirty I didn't want to touch the doorknob and that was too cluttered and they charge $6 for a half a glass of white zinfandel I won't be going back

Down to earth environment family owned, Excellent food big proportions you get what your paying for restaurant. Bar well I don't drink alcohol but bartender beautiful very friendly people. Facing Nippersink Lake outdoor deck with tables to enjoy Natures beauty on summer nights. I went for Mother's day late afternoon dinner. Weather was cold but still had a very good time. I will go back again. Recommended you have my 5star vote!

We got ignored for several minutes when we arrived-wife even had time to visit restroom and still no reception. Finally we asked to be seated. We requested outside seating upon noticing two parties leaving. Waitress looked out the window and said "Sorry, no tables"; when clearly we witnessed two parties vacate the deck. Food: Give the thumbs up to the Fried Prich and Sweet Potatoes. Steak/Shrimp combo, mashed potatoes and gravy could have been better. Service was a tad slow. Should have ordered Fried Chicken...perhaps if we come back.

This place is a hidden gem. It has been here since 1938. I can't believe we have never been. The food is excellent! The service was excellent! The setting is overlooking Bluff Lake and beautiful. The interior is full of nostalgia. We had the fish fry. There are many options. Lightly battered and fried perch, or garlic grilled haddock, or boiled something (might have been haddock also). All exceeded our expectations! Cones with both soup and salad. The night we went the soup was a homemade pork and dumpling. Wow! There were many other fish options on the menu as well as other options as well. Many with a German flair. Definitely going back. Looking forward to sitting outside on one of the decks overlooking the lake.

Out favorite place for German food. We can go by boat in the summer and car any time. Love that they brought back their salad bar! Their seafood salad and other offerings are all tasty. They have a lot of new menu items and if you have been there in a while...visit soon. Prices are reasonable too! ❤

One of the best potato pancakes I've ever had! The baked french onion soup was very cheesy, other than lacking a bit of flavor it was really good. The spaetzle was a little different than from what I've had at other German restaurants so I'm not sure which one is actually the genuine one. Didn't care much for the sauce/gravy that it was topped with so next time I will get it plain. Service was excellent.

So happy this place is closed most of the year. Seriously unsanitary and the most unfriendly restaurant in Antioch!! Do not take a chance by eating here!!

Doesn't look like much from the outside, but once your inside really cool atmosphere. The chef needs to rethink about German food,could be so much better, tonight was Friday fish fry, the haddock(boil)was way over cooked, the perch was outstanding! The french onion soup was a bit watery, Would really like to see more authentic German/European food.

Yesterday was our first time we went to this fine restaurant. But It is absolutely not the last time. We had great time with the attentive service, with the excellent meal and fine drinks and with the friendly pay. We will surely return there soon.

Nice Sunday Bloody Mary bar! As a bartender, I was pleasantly surprised at all the options. However . . . you NEED to get bottled water! I live with well water at home, but yours is awful! Buy a case of water for $3, sell for $1/bottle.-- it's a money maker . . . !

The menu is good! Only open TFSS. Visited twice last week. I did not like the dessert, as none of the four of us did! I was looking forward to it, big disappointment.
