Nothing like a wet little bowl of brown chew. I slurped that gobble gobble like my last ex-wife was about to knife me again. Maybe I'd give it a lower rating if they told me I couldn't smoke inside.

I literally drove from Denver to eat at CoCos today. And I did. I just left. I even found apple tea at H-mart next door. I've been searching for apple tea since I left Japan many years ago. This has been the best day of my life.

A solid choice for a meal. Delicious and at a good price. The spice options are also good, with levels ranging from mild to really spicy. Lots of other add on options as well.

Best Japanese curry I’ve ever had in my life. If you are thinking about coming here, you won’t be disappointed. Everything is customizable and their Spinach curry is to die for!! Really cheap too and just the normal potion will fill you up! Yummmm

Nice and quick service and good fresh food. So very worth it. A 5 on the spice scale is actually pretty spicy. Perfect for spice lovers, but maybe a tiny bit too much for people just wanting to add some spice to their food or really focus on the foods natural spices and flavors. Over all so delicious and satisfying. The vegetable croquettes are extremely light and fluffy! The Thai tea wasn't much of a powerhouse in my opinion and experience but not the worst I've had. 100% worth going to for your curry fix.

I had heard a lot about this place from friends of mine that had it in Japan and I was not disappointed. The curry chicken was cooked perfectly. Definitely worth a try if in the area.

Amazing curry! Came here around 7:30p and it was fairly quiet--we got seated immediately. Got the pork cutlet and chicken karaage omelette and they were both excellent. You get quite a lot of food for the price and they don't skimp out on the meat. Would also recommend the keema cheese french fries. It's a different type of curry and equally excellent.

Loved this place in Japan. I wasn’t expecting it to taste the same but it was equally delicious. Same spice levels and similar food items. My go to is chicken or pork katsu curry with garlic cheese naan. They add cheddar to their cheese naan compared to locations in Japan. Service was okay. We were ignored by one of the waiters at first and waited a good 5 minutes to be seated when the restaurant seemed half full. They seemed understaffed for. A busy Saturday night.

I got the mushroom and cream omurice, and my boyfriend got the katsu curry. I don’t think it’s as good as the other locations, but it’s still pretty solid for when you’re craving coco ichibanya. Spicy level 2 was spicier than other locations’ spice level 2. Service was nice and there was plenty of seating available. Parking: park in the Hmart parking lot. You can get validation from the restaurant.

Super delicious, decently priced japanese cury. Wait time was long but to be fair the restaurant was extremely busy. Absolutely worth visiting this chain!

Delicious curry. Almost exactly like the one in Japan but I will take what I can get and is still very good. Got a stewed chicken and curry udon to go. Also got a black hoodie to sport my favorite curry place.

Wow! We've been dreaming of Cocos since we left Okinawa in 2020. This was our favorite place to eat, and religiously dined at Cocos every Sunday at 11. The curry is perfect, and the garlic cheese Naan bread! What a pleasure it was to have a Cocos accessible. We were passing through LA and were so excited to be back.

The food was fantastic and phenomenal. The chicken curry was absolutely great. It was almost the same taste as the one we had in Japan.

Had no expectations entering this place and was knocked away by the flavor. Ordered the chicken cutlet omelet and it did not disappoint. Service was awesome as well. If you’re a group of 9 or more, be prepared to wait for a group table.

CoCo's is the best Japanese curry spot in California. They do a great job on quality control. If you've ever had bad CoCo's I'm 100% sure they'll correct it. They're expanding from L.A. into SD so be sure to check all of them out. I'm a Marine and this mastalgia for me from my time in Okinawa 😍

Best Japanese curry in the game! Spice levels are varied and delicious. I’ve gone all the way to x16 and it just tasted so good. Chicken curry with spinach is the bomb 💣

One of my favorite is minced beef with spicy level 2 curry! I missed Curry house restaurant and this restaurant is also good comparing with them. There is parking validation for those who park next to the hmart!

At the time of this review, they were doing take out only. The food was still prepared in a timely manner and very delicious. I would love to tour the full menu in the future.

Have been coming here for like 6 years and love it. My husband first tried it in Hawaii so when I was yelping places it was great to see there was also some locations here in LA. I currently love getting the stew chicken and fried chicken omelet with the spice level 4. The flavor is so delicious. The keema fries are also great. The thai tea can be better so I'm fine with just drinking water. I come to this location at least once a month. The parking entrance is on the Mariposa Avenue side which is also parking for H Mart.

As a huge fan of this chain of restaurants, I was thrilled to find this location during an excursion to K Town. The place is hopping and loud, but strangely, conversation is still easy to understand. The service is very fast and friendly and the dining experience is great. I ordered the pork cutlet Curry and interestingly, the Curry at this location is much more watery than what I'm used to at other locations and at other Japanese curry joints. I wasn't sure how I felt about it, but the taste was very much the same and there always never seems to be enough Curry! They also serve a nice Thai bubble tea, not too sweet, just right. Overall, a nice dining experience. Btw, they do not accept AMEX.

Food was good. Parking was a nightmare. There are 2 parking lots at the mall and I even showed them a picture of the one I was parked at and they said it was good but then when we left they told us we parked in the wrong one. Make sure to park in the Plaza parking and not the hmart parking.

Curry over rice with crunchy chicken and omlette just perfect. You can choose your level of spiciness from one to ten, mine is about six which is good enough to make me sweat ;)

CoCo Ichibanya is a perfect lunch spot in LA's Koreatown, offering some of the best curry dishes in the city. The chicken katsu was delicious, and probably a must-try if you come to CoCo. We also ordered an omelette-style egg curry with a seafood mix and with the add-ins, I found it delicious as well! I came here on a time crunch and was able to be in and out in 25 minutes. The portions are also very generous and I left with more than enough food to take to-go. I'd highly recommend coming here for a delicious quick bite if you're in the area.

We came in pretty close to closing time due to certain circumstances but we were seated right away. They let us take our time in figuring out what we wanted from their pretty vast menu and all of the food arrived very promptly. This happens to be my favorite chain curry place from back when I lived in Japan so I was glad to share the experience with my friends. The photo I attached is what I got which is on the right side and my friend with eyes as big as his stomach, got the one on the left. I definitely recommend them due to the fact that unlike a lot of other curry places they don't skimp on portions and for the cost especially in LA, this is a deal.

Staff was extremely polite & quick with my order. It's definitely worth making the drive out here! Photo of Order: Pork Cutlet & Omelet w/ Garlic & Cheese nan bread (Japanese Ice Tea) Total: $25

This was my first time in a Coco Ichibanya in the US. It's great having their great curry in LA!

This place is always great but this time I tried the chicken cutlet udon curry and it was amazing! My best time here, 20 out of 10! The Thai tea is also great!

My wife and I have been coming here for years, at locations both here and in Japan. The flavors are always amazing and leave us wanting more, waiting until we are able to come again. We live out of state so this is definitely a stop for us when we are in town.
