We ordered a gluten-free chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream frosting for my sister's Birthday... Not only was the cake beautiful, it was delicious and affordable too! We had it delivered to our house due to COVID-19 restrictions and it was immaculate upon arrival. Thank-you so very much! Thank you for the amazing cakes! The continental cake bought back memories from my childhood. Soft, sweet, syrup & sponge! Just like they used to be. The heart cake was again really nice! We'll definitely be getting more cakes from Pelligra.

Long-established cafe, based in Greensborough. Stopped by to have a quick coffees and cakes. Really good coffee and their carrot cake is part good too. Not too sweet and heaps of walnut. Good service and love their coffee.

Standard has gone down here big time! Stood around for over 5 mins waiting to be served and that was just to be acknowledged! Bought a box of assorted cakes including 2 cold cheesecake. Strawberries on top soggy and rotten past there date!! Used to be a reputable business with top quality obviously don’t care anymore! Why would you allow something like this to go out or atleast discount it!

Great cakes and baked goods! They provided a range of goods for our office Easter celebration. Allowed the team to get together and have a chat, whilst enjoyed a variety of yummy treats! Thanks Pelligra

So happy with the cake I ordered for my baby shower. It looked even better than the photos. And tasted amazing! Will definitely be ordering all future cakes from Pelligra.

Once the sandwich bar went, that was the end for me. It was the best place in the area to get a freshly made sandwich, and now they are charging $10 for a turkish roll with a schnitzel and lettuce that sits under glass and was made hours earlier. Just so depressing. Most of the people I know who loved the sandwich bar just gave up once it was removed. Nice cakes, but there's little point in going in there for lunch now.

Prelligra is gone to the dogs. We went to have lunch with a friend . The staff today unlike other days were very rude and gave us a cold shoulder They demanded we stop ordering until they are ready to listen ..I have issues with bread so If I had asked to make modification to serve me croissant instead of toastie on one of the menu with an extra charge like I normally do every Sunday at breakfast, before 2017. Never will I come here again.

The customer service is pretty poor. I hear everyone I work with go on about how nice the food and coffee is here, but I must be getting the wrong items because the pies, sausage rolls, and some of their sweeter items have all been really tasteless. They took away my favourite thing which I came in daily for, and that was their orange juice. They sold me an alternative which was a “fizzy orange drink” that I couldn’t even open because I don’t have a bottle opener at my work.. the staff should mention this or offer to open the drink for customers who are taking away. I don’t drink coffee, so I can’t comment on that.

I love how I can order a birthday cake online at any time of the day! That is definitely a huge plus so we've ordered quite a few. The cakes are always fresh and as requested. Thank you! Have also been here for other food and coffee and have always been happy. There are always a lot of staff serving so I've never had to wait long.

As much as I'm reluctant to admit it, Pelligra Cakes has sadly been taking a turn for the worse in recent years. While it has historically had a great track record, the owner has turned the once lovely cafe into a massive cash-grab. Prices have shot through the roof, quality has diminished, and great products are constantly being removed or downsized. (edit/note: it can be partly understood given the whole covid situation, but considering it all started happening before covid hit, I'm very much still critical of this.) They fail to show respect for long-standing customers, and while (most of) the staff are great, the business side is something I'm very hesitant to support much longer.

The lemon meringue pie is divine! Perfect combination of flavours. Heavenly delicious.

We celebrated our kid's joint baptism with a beautiful continental cake from Pelligra. Everyone loved the cake, we received so many compliments. This was my first (and certainly not last!) experience with Pelligra Cakes, we'd tried three other cake joint's for their continental cake and ruled them all out, proclaiming this one was the best!

Ordered a Cake for my 50th birthday!! not only was it fabulous to look at, it was so delicious. Easily the best cake I have bought in a very long time. Thank you so much for your wonderful talented staff and friendly process in ordering and collection of the cake.

I love this place and always have. However yesterday I came in for my 21st cake, picked it off the shelf and looked amazing. A black forest cake yum. Looked like great value for money. Only to cut it open and find the cake was 80% cream. Extremely disappointed, unpleasant to eat and straight in the bin. Was a great finish to my 21st. Thanks a lot. Won’t be trusting them again with a cake.

Worst customer service ! I ordered an ice cream cake online from Pelligra, which was described as a vanilla ice cream cake with Oreo biscuits. The image on the website was also of a vanilla ice cream. When I went to pick up the cake I was handed a chocolate ice cream cake . I said to the girl this wasn’t what I had ordered as it was mean to be a vanilla one and I showed her the picture . She took it out the back to show someone and came back and said that it was an old picture and this is the cake now . I then explained that the description also stated it was vanilla , and she told me the inside was vanilla (again not was described on the website ) . She then proceeded to pack the cake in the box and started giving me storage instructions, completely trying to ignore the issue . I told again I was not happy with the cake as it wasn’t what I had ordered . She said they could scrape the top off but it would still look brown and I would need to wait 3 hours for them too do it . I advised there was no point doing this if it was still going to be brown and it would probably just look messy, plus I didn’t have time to wait . I asked for a partial refund instead as I now had no time to organise another cake . This request was flat out refused as there was “nothing wrong with the cake” . This is such poor customer service ! No acknowledgement of the fact they gave me a completely different cake , and then the lack of interest in making the customer happy . You order a cake based on the pictures and description provided. You can’t then go and decide to do whatever it is you feel like on the day . I will certainly not be ordering from Pelligra again! **************************************** Response to Pelligras comment - This is not true at all ! I was not offered a new cake to be made . As mentioned in my review I was the told the top could be scraped off but it would still be chocolate. Also as mentioned, the picture on your website was of a vanilla cake and so was the description ! Nobody was apologetic at all that I was not given the cake that I had ordered . Disgraceful customer service . I won’t be back .

So much for a 8 % inflation, just bough some cookies for $23, were $18 which was dear anyhow. That is over 21% increase on a already expensive item

I can't tell how long I have attended Pelligra but have seen it evolve to what it is today. Great pastries, cakes and service. Really enjoyable place to relax and consume.

Ordering few cakes for my daughter's Birthdays not an easy task. But thanks to Laura (most beautiful young lady ) her patience ,knowledge and understanding ( 1.5 hours later ) and we got both cakes exactly how I wanted. Best service continues in your shop and I will be back for more. I appreciate all your help 😊🥂

We went with little kids for a small familly celebration around 3.30 - 1.5 hours before closing time and only after paying for our order, two staff reminded us we were not welcome to sit inside the seating area and suggested we sit outside while it was raining and cold while staff cleaned. We let the staff know the Saturday opening time on the website was not accurate but were still unwelcoming and rushed, won't be returning.

Probably one of the nicest places to grab a coffee and/or cake in Greensborough. Every time I've stopped in, there's been exceptional service, and nothing short of an amazing product. Would recommend!

Bought the Mini Cold Raspberry Cheesecake. Nice but it didn’t taste like cheesecake due to the amount of cream and flavouring in the cheese mix.

Went to buy a cheesecake for a family birthday. Requested a little chocolate plaque with 'happy birthday dad' written on it, which they organised in a few minutes. The cheesecake was delicious.

Ordered the most brilliant Giant Cannoli cake filled with 48 mini cannolis. Beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Stayed firm all night. They even supply extra crème patisserie for when you eat the giant outer one. No need to supply plates to each guest was an extra bonus. What a great store right on Main Street Greensborough.

Worst service experience forever. Plenty of staff but no service. After waiting 20 minutes for an order followed up with same girl who had served me. Looked at me as if she had never seen me in her life. Walked out in disgust without even bothering with a refund. Have had mediocre service on other occasions but this was a new low. Two senior staff spent their time arguing with each other while the rest 3 to 4 just chatted. Not busy just a handful of customers Never again! .

Cakes, patisserie items and coffee are all amazing. Being going here since the 80s and we're across the road, kids have grown up getting their cakes for birthdays, as we did again today. Picked up a birthday cake and had coffee and a custard donut(best anywhere). Oh yes the gelato is fantastic, especially pistachio.

I couldn’t be happier with my recent experience at Pelligra. I ordered a cake over the phone and received great information and advice. The service when I picked up the cake was fantastic but the best part was the cake itself. We had comments from all our guests about how delicious the cake was. Highly recommend!

We order baked goods from Pelligra Cakes every time we have a celebration in the office, and we couldn’t be happier with their services! The treats for have been both delicious and creative, with always the best presentation. For one of our employees farewell, Pelligra created a fantastic cake, decorated with gold detailing and donuts. The cake was white chocolate and raspberry flavoured and it tasted absolutely divine - like a wedding cake! Safe to say there was none left by the end of the day. Pelligra Cakes' attention to detail and commitment to quality are truly commendable. From start to finish, the entire process was seamless, and the customer service was outstanding.
