I visited here yesterday and had some pokies. I really liked the pokies and gaming areas, and really wish I could leave a better review. I think in hospitality, it is highly important to be friendly, kind and welcoming. I experienced a rude response from one of the staff at the bar, and wish I had been treated much more welcomed by her. I wish I could come back to the Mountain View Hotel.

We had a birthday party at Sports Bar. For 50 people, the place was not large. Can certainly accommodate 80-100. The projector and the stage provided a good anchoring point. There were other 3 TVs that played live sports. The lounge on the side provided a cosy place for a nice talk for small groups. The food platters were really tasty and enough for 8-10 people as suggested. The only negative was the DJ. Really bad speakers.

Great experience here. A few dishes were surprisingly good but the service provided by the staff was the highlight for us. Thank you! Recommended to try: Sri Lankan Curry, Nasi Goreng and Soup of the Day!

Feeling awful about this review, but I have to tell it like it is. The environment is relaxed and a typical pub atmosphere. It was easy to park out the back. The food looked inviting, but it was disappointing. The meat was exceptionally dry and the veggies bland. Not sure if they were cooked in butter like it was stated. Porterhouse was $41 and it was ordered as medium, but came out well done. I feel even if was cooked medium, it could have been hard to eat anyway. It was so dry it was difficult to eat. Not worth $41 🤦🏼‍♀️ The only reason it got a four star review was because the service was amazing and staff were really friendly.

Good reasonably priced food, helpful staff, plenty of room, plenty of good close parking, clean, and no loud music. We've been here many times, but first time Sunday lunch. Busy but very good. And always have Seniors options available... Perfect.

Love this place!! Beers on tap, bar, friendly service, good food, plenty of parking, pool tables, lots of large screens to watch footy or other games that are on, comfy couches, walk-in’s welcome - what more can you expect. Definitely coming back soon!

Great food! Nice place to hang out with friends over beer! The restaurant is not noisy so it was ideal for catching up and chatting with friends. The food was reasonably priced and I'd say pretty good value for money. The beer was super cheap! A jug of 50 lashes for $12! The crowd seemed to be older (over 60s), but it was still a great experience!

Large dinning and gaming facilities available. Property is professionally laid out and in good condition. Lots of parking. A Covid supervisor at the entrance is proactive to maintain Covid standards and is a very reassuring feature. Gaming facilities are extensive. Dining area is clean and spacious with bright and attentive staff. Meals are ordered with remote access or waitress staff in attendance. The meal's were at a just satisfactory standard but poorly presented. Some of the vegetables served were still partially frozen. Compared to other similar facilities the meals for seniors was double the price and not worth the extra cost. Overall a sound facility with good Covid controls but disappointing catering standards.

Had my Engagement party here, booked out the sports bar. Very good prices, relaxed atmosphere, space looked great, bar staff were really nice. Great communication with management throughout. Our night was perfect, would happily book here again.

Night waiting staff seem poorly trained and equipped. I blame the management who don't have a decent ordering and payment system. Last night, I didn't get my dessert I ordered, and they needed me to pay for someone else's (who had left without paying) dessert at a much higher price. About a year or so ago, two out of our group of 14 didn't even get their meal they ordered the whole night, and when I asked if they could provide a complimentary dessert, they refused. The night was ruined for all. It was a fiasco.The food there is quite good, but I'm not going back.

We had an all-ages family group of 12 for dinner. The restaurant has a nice relaxed vibe so everyone felt comfortable. We were more than pleased with the quality of the meals and table service. And the kitchen crew had no problems getting so many meals served at the same time. There's a seniors size option with most mains and the servings are generous. Nice wine list too. MVH is certainly at the high end of pub dining. Highly recommended!

Honey chicken was literally just honey on chicken, more of a dessert than a meal. It was ridiculously sweet, would NOT recommend Butter chicken was odd flavoured. However the pub favourites were decent.

The supposedly barramundi I had was dry and not pleasant, and the vegetables were not freshly cooked. One of the worst meals I’ve ever eaten. Butter chicken curry??? Don’t put it on the menu unless it’s authentic. Service was great- as there was so few customers. Otherwise it was not a good experience.

We had a group of guys have a drink to celebrate a mates wedding.. We were cut of at 7 because we had been there since 2. Our only issue we were loud. Weren't drunk. The bar lady just cost you hundreds of dollars in food. went elsewhere. for food and future visits.

We visited Cup eve. The bistro was almost empty. Restrooms really grotty. Meals were pretty awful. I had the pasta with roast veg. Pasta was well overcooked and swimming in a tasteless sauce with overcooked vegetables. Mum had roast pork tasted like bleach. Never again. Staff were friendly.

Bistro was standard fare, the male toilets were absolutely filthy, tiles covered in fly dirt and what ever else, very smelly, no paper towel and hand dryer not working, this was Sunday lunch. Service people were very friendly and attentive.

Came to the bistro for a parma. Wasn’t served water! Wasn’t sure even asked. Waver hand at a white skinner waiter with long hair. Ignored me and didn’t attend me. Terrible service!

We were a group of four in our and 80's. Most of us had a seniors fish meal. All dietry variations were capably catered for. The servings were a good size. The fourth member had Nasi Goring and unfortunately received a full serving, which was too large, as she did not ask for the seniors' size. It would have been lovely if the waitress had checked this detail. During the meal, one of us was not well, and the waitress was most helpful and caring. We were able to sit at the table and chat long after finishing our meal, which added to our enjoyment.

We enjoyed a delicious meal at the Mountain View Hotel today. The service was friendly and efficient, the food came quickly and was extremely tasty. A great spot for lunch with friends as the tables are not too close, which gives an opportunity for easy chatter.

We ate in the Sports Bar for lunch, only ones in there at 12.30, we had a beef hamburger and a chicken hamburger, both were very good.

The 4 of us had seniors meals and were very impressed with the quality and size of the servings. There was a good range of meals to choose from.very happy!

I visited with my mother for Christmas in July and it was a lovely traditional holiday meal with excellent service! This is always the favorite lunch place for us!

In the past it's been awesome. That last visit was disappointing. To have the kids meals be brought out last (after 9 adults) ....

5 Stars because Antoinette had seriously the best customer service I've seen from any hospitality worker I've come across. Seriously she deserves a raise she has a brilliant energy to her and really makes the dining experience here 110%

We had a great time at the mountain view the food was good and the service was too. Would be happy to go back there anytime for dinner or to catch up with friends

Came without a booking, was no problem to get a table for 5 early on a Saturday night, must have just got in because the bistro was full to the brim when we left. Meals came out quickly and everyone liked what they ate.

This is our PUB! We come here for a good meal, good service and good staff whom we consider our friends. It's always an enjoyable time with a friendly atmosphere where menu replacements are generally catered for, good drink options, and friendly smiles from all staff. We wouldn't go anywhere else!
